I came in for a second opinion for an epidermoid cyst. I met with the PA Francisca during most of my appointments and she was a great listener and very attentive. After a few cortisone injections and antibiotics over a few months, my cyst was successfully treated. My final appointment was with Dr. Behroozan himself who was on the same page with me about not needing surgery after the treatment plan was administered. Overall a caring and patient team of medical providers and I'm glad I found them because of my poor experience with another doctor. The only area of improvement is with the scheduling department. The phone-in scheduler (probably not even from this location) booked me for the wrong time and also didn't tell me to show 15 minutes early. When I got in on time, I ended up being half and hour late and caught some attitude from the front desk person who later realized the mistake after I showed my scheduling confirmation text. It happens; we're all human and I'm not letting that affect my positive review of this place. read more

I am not a regular of Dr. Behroozan and have only received a consultation from him but his manner was very professional, attentive and funny. He did not try to upsell anything and told me straight up what he thought would help me most, turning down my suggestion of expensive lasers. My issue is with acne scarring, as I finally have the breakouts under control. He suggested a few topical items and sent me on my way. Dr. Behroozan is a dermatological angel sent from heaven! It all started off with an extreme case of cystic adult acne at the ripe age of 31. The kind of acne that hurt - even to rest my head on a pillow. I'm generally not a self-conscious person, but my skin had reached a point where going out in public, even with makeup on, was hard. Coming to work and interacting with clients was especially embarrassing because I felt like people were constantly looking at the mounds on my face. As soon as one pimple would heal, another would pop up elsewhere, until my face was a full blown pizza! I had never dealt with severe acne growing up, only the occasional monthly pimple caused by hormones. Definitely nothing as extreme as it had become over the last year or so. I tried everything - I bought a plethora of OTC treatments - none worked (proactiv didn't work either). I would try at home remedies - those didn't work (side note - toothpaste burned my skin lol!). I went to an aesthetician who would do acne extractions and facials - other than looking like a meth addict, those did nothing for me. I even changed up my diet to no avail. Something wasn't right! I went to see Dr. Behroozan, and he took action! Right away he said that I could continue using the OTC stuff til the cows come home, but my problem seemed to be internal, and that's why nothing was working. So he put me on a high dose of antibiotics (doxycycline) and a triple threat of topical creams and face wash. Within the first week the number of cystic pimples/inflammation reduced. The pain slowly went away too. And now, not only has my skin cleared up, It's got a glow to it, and people actually compliment me on my skin. I know it sounds cheesy and even somewhat dramatic, but no one can understand the mental issues you face when your face is as gross as mine was, until you actually go through it yourself - especially at my age. He has incredible bedside manners. I trust him implicitly and referred both my husband and our daughter for yearly skin checks over the years. He has found/removed pre cancer spots on both my husband and myself, and we are most grateful for his care and precision in the field of dermatology. Dr. B most recently discovered I had shingles after no other doctor was able to provide this diagnosis. He treated me for it and the shingles were gone in days. Turns out the medication didn't work b/c I didnt have acne. Dr Behroozan and his staff make you feel very comfortable. I found him after I went to a HORRIBLE consultation with a company that advertizes on the radio a lot (check my reviews). He was reasonably priced and very personable. It seems he reads all the contact forms that come from his website and remembered mine when I came in. He used a laser on capillaries and when it didn't take, did a redo for free. I went to Dr. Behroozan today as a first time patient and am very satisfied. His office staff, Roggi (sp?) and Josh were friendly and helpful, as was his clinical assistant Priscilla. I just went for a skin cancer screening and the doctor was thorough and found a couple areas of concern which he biopsied. No sales pitches for cosmetic services as too frequently happens. I might think about some of those services one day, but today I focused on the essentials, and the doctor did too. They were all also very conscientious about following Covid safety precautions from start to finish. I think I've finally found an LA dermatologist I like and trust. Now I'd love to find a similar dentist! Parking on Burton was easy and free. They might have parking as well but I didn't need it. Happily giving five stars. Wow I should have written this review months ago, but time has flown so I wanted to finally write something here to share that Dr. Behroozan is heavenly, and I couldn't recommend him highly enough! :) Last year I went to him with a sebaceous cyst on my neck that I was pretty terrified about, and he was a brilliant pleasure every step of the way with me. He was so kind, calming and knowledgeable, was willing to work in such a gracious way with the fact that I didn't have health insurance at the time, and ultimately down the line helped refer me to the most amazing ENT when it became apparent that I needed to go that route. Came in for a cosmetic procedure, paid a couple hundred dollars out of pocket (pricier than I had paid from other docs in the past), asked if it was possible to get a refill on acne prescription at the end of the procedure, he's a smooth talker so made it seem like no big deal (it took the doctor 2 minutes to write and - I had just paid him upfront for the procedure so figured no biggie to ask). Got billed a copay for an office visit/consult. Really? After I had just paid out of pocket for cosmetic you can't write a prescription without billing for an acne consultation? Pretty sharky. After letters threatening to send me to collections I just paid the bill - whoever I spoke to on the phone really didn't seem to care or acknowledge my concerns. Lost a potential recurring cosmetic patient and definitely won't hesitate to spread the word. read more

Dr. Behroozan is my new favorite person. He's the nicest doctor I've encountered in a long time. Here's a breakdown of my visit: The office itself is very nice and clean, and I only had to wait about 5 minutes to be taken back to a room. The nurse/assistant who saw me first and asked me a bunch of medical questions was so nice and friendly. I was coming to the office because I had some dry skin I thought might be eczema, but she told me that because I had never had a full-body mole exam that I should get that done as well. She left me to put on my gown, and I didn't even have to wait a full minute for the doctor to come in. He was very funny and made me feel at ease as soon as we met. He first looked at my dry skin and determined that it was in fact eczema, and prescribed me a cream for it (which, a few days later, is definitely working). Then he did a full-body check to see if I had any unusual moles. He found one on my leg that had been annoying me anyway and told me it looked abnormal. He said it needed to be removed and that he would remove it right then, and I had a little bit of a panic attack because I am deathly afraid of needles. He and his assistant were both very patient with me and he told me he would numb the area first so it didn't hurt when he removed the mole. Even though the needle to put the numbing solution in hurt a little, the doctor calmed me down and put me at ease, and the mole was gone within a minute. It was so easy! I am definitely making Dr. Behroozan my regular dermatologist, and I would highly recommend him to anyone (especially scaredy cats like me!) for all of your dermatological needs. read more

Dr. Behroozan and his staff are amazing! I have seen maybe 8 different dermatologists and spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in antibiotics, topical creams, you name it! I had moderate chronic acne that I started getting when I was 19 and spent over 7 years trying to get a hold on it. My back was the worst part. I couldn't even wear tank tops. He was recommended to me by another doctor and from the first second he saw me he said, "Why haven't you been put on Accutane???" BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. Sure you have chapped as hell lips and dry skin but after only 3 months, my skin was incredible! (Accutane has significant risks, but follow the rules and it's not that big of a deal) Dr. Behroozan is right to the point and I love that about him. He could have put me on a bunch of creams and had me come back every month to see my progression costing me tons, but he didn't waste my time or my money and that is so very important!!! His staff is incredible, especially Karina who went above and beyond to help me get the best price for my prescription when my insurance was being lame. What more could you ask for?!?! PS if you're on Accutane and you're looking for a moisturizer that will help with that awful flaking skin, buy Dr. Behroozan's Repair cream. It is worth the price and saved me from looking like a reptile! I sound like a commercial, but it's seriously the real deal!! Dr. Behroozan has been my dermatologist for 8 years. He is extremely professional, intelligent, easily accessible, honest and above all very through with his routine skin checks. He cares very deeply for his patients and it truly shows. I owe a lot to Dr. B who has helped me many times: Recently he noticed an abnormal mole on my thigh. After a biopsy was done at UCLA Path lab I was shocked to see the results. It was on course to develop into something very serious. He called me and cleared a spot for me the very next day to remove the surrounding area. The minor procedure consisted of zero pain, minimal incision, and with the right wound care instruction from his team - no noticeable scar. Four years back I noticed a small cyst on my lower back on my belt line. As a typical procrastinating man my age would do, I decided just to wait until the next skin check to mention it. Big mistake. It became extremely painful and began to swell drastically over one weekend. I emailed his team (on a Saturday) and they got me in on Monday.The cyst had ruptured under the skin and Dr. B quickly removed. Again no pain or scarring - literally a small dot the size of a pencil eraser that's completely unnoticeable is all that remains after the procedure. In my late 20's i noticed my hairline beginning to recede. Dr. B prescribed Propecia along with daily usage of over the counter Rogaine foam. Talk about a turn around...wow! My hairline not only stopped receding I grew back what I had lost. My hair is as thick and as full as it was 7 years ago.
