Just wanted to share an updated review as I have been going to the Skin Center monthly for facials with Josie. She is the most incredible when it comes to maintaining a beautiful glow. My skin has never looked better. She always recommends products that are beneficial to me and and never sells me on things I don't need. If I ask about an add on or new service she's always thoughtful in consulting on if I'm a candidate for it and if so when would be best to have it done. UPDATE 6/27/2023: I now have scars and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation all over my neck and face. I saw a real dermatologist this time (Annie Chiu MD) and her diagnosis is Irritant Contact Dermatitis. This happens when the esthetician is too aggressive with exfoliation to the point where it destroys the barrier of the skin and this could have totally been prevented. Now, I have to spend even more money to treat the injury that has been caused to my skin and get rid of the marks left behind. Note that ZO Skin Clinic has not offered me a refund or addressed the expired products they gave me. The esthetician who performed my facial reached out to me to offer free products in exchange for deleting my review. It's against my conscience to take it down and I have refused the free products, but out of consideration to her livelihood I have removed her name from my review. UPDATE 6/17/2023: The redness has faded a little but now the blisters all over my neck have turned into marks and scabs. Guess I'll be wearing a turtleneck for the rest of summer. read more

Dear Dr. Obagi, I have been a loyal customer of your establishment for over 10 years, you have done wonders with my skin. However, after my recent experience, I will no longer be returning. The level of service at your Beverly Hills location has drastically declined due to unprofessional and dismissive staff. Today, I called to book an express facial and was assisted by Denise. Not only was she incredibly rude, but she also lacked basic knowledge of customer service in the retail and spa industry. At the end of the day, a spa is still part of the hospitality industry, and she should have a basic understanding of how to be warm and pleasant with clients without overstepping her boundaries. Denise should not be frustrating customers or causing the company to lose money simply because she wants to be overly assertive and excessively talkative. In reality, all she has to do is focus on her job--booking appointments correctly and efficiently. Additionally, she should allow a professional to discuss what options a client can choose to add to an express facial. Instead of rudely telling me what I couldn't have, Denise should have simply said, "I'm going to refer your questions to the esthetician, who will perform an evaluation, analyze your skin, and recommend the most suitable treatment options for you. She will also explain what add-ons we offer for an express facial." She could have communicated this in a respectful and kind manner instead of being aggressive and dismissive. Denise also provided incorrect information when she abruptly told me that microdermabrasion could not be done with an express facial. Rather than making such a bold statement without knowing the facts - she should have simply directed my concerns to the esthetician, who is responsible for assessing clients' needs and recommending appropriate services. It is unprofessional for a receptionist to dictate what treatments a client can or cannot have--that decision should be left to licensed professionals. I did not call to discuss my skincare needs with a receptionist, and Denise had no business attempting to do so. Denise couldn't even book an appointment for me today. She failed at doing that, which is her most basic responsibility. Instead of simply confirming the appointment, she caused confusion by trying to overstep her boundaries and discuss treatment options, rather than informing me that I would be evaluated by a professional. She caused so much confusion that 30 minutes later, she failed to lock in my 3 PM spot, therefore it was cancelled because it got booked by someone else! This level of incompetence is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business. Laura's conduct was also unacceptable. She placed me on hold for 30 minutes, repeatedly interrupted me, and demonstrated poor communication skills. To make matters worse, after finally confirming my 3 PM appointment, she informed me that the slot had been given away to another client. This level of disorganization is completely unprofessional. It is evident that the current staff, including the manager Erica, lacks the leadership and customer service skills necessary to uphold the standards this location was once known for. Erica's unwillingness to assist a dissatisfied client simply because it was her day off further proves the lack of dedication from management. Denise and Laura have created a hostile and unwelcoming environment that will drive customers away. In contrast, past employees such as Liz and Susie exemplified exceptional service and professionalism. I strongly urge you to replace Denise and Laura with staff who understand the importance of customer service and maintaining your company's reputation. It is unfortunate that the Beverly Hills location has deteriorated so badly, especially when compared to the Laguna Beach location, which continues to provide outstanding service. After this bad experience I ended up booking a facial with Sonya Dakar Spa of Beverly Hills. Not only was the service exceptional, but I was also able to book an Apple Stem Cell facial to reverse the signs of aging. Thanks to Sonya my skin is glowing while looking plump and youthful! I recommend going to her if you have any issues with the staff over there at Obagi. Her staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I hope the owner sees this and address his staff and their unprofessional behavior. Because losing a customer in this economy over a $50 add on is not something to celebrate! Where's May? I have been a client of Dr. Obagi's office for many years. I was called numerous times over a few week's time to purchase more products. Annoying to say the least. Especially since I just purchase products weeks before. When I called for a consultation, to my dismay, I found out May was no longer working there. I was given the choice of Serene or Jamison to consult with. I spoke with Jamison. I had been a client of May's for years. I am used to her guidance, expertise, knowledge of ZO Obagi products, her professionalism, and her patience. Nothing but the most positive experience with May. I am sorry to say, this same experience did not come through with Jamison. He reviewed my history and said, "May liked to push products". WHAT! He lacks full knowledge of all the ZO Obagi products he is trying to sell. It took this office numerous phone calls to place my order. Normally I did this all through May. I would discuss what was the corrective measure for my skin and place the order with May. It is now a many-step process, with several phone calls and too much wasted time. Every time I went to ZO for help the salespeople kept pushing other products on me !! all they care about is that you keep purchasing more and more products! I have been seeing Joise since , 2020 . I had deep cyst like bumps on my chin, my forehead and the areas around my chin and hyperpigmentation. Honestly this review is long overdue. I've been on a skin care program that was customized for me by NP Jamison, and my skin has NEVER looked this amazing. Jamison is super knowledgeable about each content of the products which really helps him to create a program for you. He's super sweet. I absolutely love my skin. I never have to wear moisturizer because I'm just so naturally hydrated, but never oily, since being on this program. It is a bit pricey for products to get started, but worth it. I swear I had a little bit of everything because of sun, meds, pregnancy, genes and all I was lacking was acne. After visiting Sephora, Mary Kay, Argonne, Clinique and 2 other dermatologists with no results I decided to try OZ. I showed up with no makeup, they took pics and he informed me that I had things I didn't even know going on. My rosacea is under control, sun spots are gone, smoother skin and texture. I have been buying Zo products for a few years now and recently customer service has gone down hill. I bought two different products from brand which both changed color after opening. First I was told that is how that batch is till I told them that no it was white and then turned brown then I was told people still wanted it. I personally don't care what others want, I am uncomfortable using face products that change color to be something is off chemically. All I wanted was to exchange however since I had bought that batch from Pasadena location which is a Zo Health store not an account they basically wanted me to go there any figure it out. The store hours and location doesn't work for me, in addition it is same company and same nurses. ANITA is a queen. I have been seeing her for a little over a year now and I have never been so pleased with my results. I've suffered with cystic acne and ingrown hairs since I was 12 and every dermatologist I saw gave me the same "you need to exfoliate" speech - I AMMMM! 11 years later and ZO Skin care is the only stuff that works. First we did a treatment to remove dead skin cells - my skin was literally peeling off but it was SO WORTH IT. I trust her so much! I get a blemish every now and again (i'm addicted to the sun so that's my bad), but I have never received so many compliments on my skin before. I also saw her for tattoo removal - after five visits, it's completely gone! My friends are shocked that I don't dread going to my treatments. Went for laser hair removal and got my pigment removed. I'm African American so this is the last thing you want to happen. Was told it would take a week, then told 90 days, pigment still not returned more than 90 days later. Be careful if you go here for laser hair removal, as the right laser was not used on me. Now the hair is returning and I am still dealing with trying to heal where the laser burned off the pigment. Such a terrible thing to have to deal with. It's sad we still don't have places that you can trust for this type of service for our skin type. read more

I came in to the beautiful ZO Skin Center in Beverly Hills to see if someone could fix my lopsided and lumpy lips that I had done at an "un named" Med-Spa, by a surgeon. Yes, a surgeon screwed up my lip filler and the naso-labial area was also uneven and under filled. Cue, the gorgeous RN, Serene, assured me that she could fix what the Dr at the other office had done. Five minutes later and virtually pain-free, Serene said to look in the mirror and wow, I was very happy ! Lopsided lips - gone and filled to perfection ! My nasolabial area - properly filled now, making me look a few years younger - yay ! She truly is an injection artist and I will definitely be back for my future needs ! She even threw in a few laser zaps to get rid of some broken capillaries under my nose I'm so grateful and thankful that I found someone the has the knowledge and the artistic eye to improve what "father time" has taken from me. read more

I feel so at ease with facialist wizard Ninka and the whole team at Obagi. Is it strange that I want to hug every person in the office on arrival AND departure? Perhaps. But, they are like magical face sorcerers and need to be shown true adoration! Just got my 2nd Ultimate Regeneration Facial with Ninka and I'm hooked for life. I also scheduled another in 4 weeks. Ninka is so patient and knowledgeable. I've had facials EVERYWHERE in the city and I can honestly say that this facial is 1000% better than anything I have experienced. I have very difficult skin and it requires expert hands. Ninka customizes every facial to your specific needs and explains every step along the way. For one hour on the facialist bed, I feel like a real Beverly Hills princess. (Princesses also really appreciate the 2-hour free parking across the street, but there is valet for those who prefer it.) I purchased several products with Ninka's guidance but didn't go crazy. They didn't push me into things that I didn't need (and can't afford). I'm obsessed with the Gentle Cleanser, the Daily Power Defense, Complexion Renewal Pads, and Sulfur Masque. I really want to try the Toner and Rozatrol and maybe a moisturizer on my next visit. Actually, I want to try EVERYTHING. It's that good. I have been Dr. Obagi's patient for at least 3 years. He has taken care of my skin beautifully. As a result, when prompted to try his daughter Serene for fillers, I took a leap of faith and scheduled a session with her. I so wish, I had not done that. I ended up paying her over $10,000 to look like a lumpy ballon. She went overboard and overfilled my face. I was swollen and I looked like a had been punched. Later on, I had to spend over $11,000 to have it all taken out by a different practitioner. Ensuing, I learned that she only has 1 year experience! Worst of all, she is allowed to treat clients without a supervising doctor. When asked for a refund, the administration communicated that they don't give refunds even though, I provided photos and payment receipts to have her bad work taken out. In the end, I ended up spending over $20,000 because Obagi center did not give me a refund!!! All I wanted is to look like was a well rested version of myself. Instead, she made me look like a lumpy ballon sans $20,000. Be wary! Over-plumped face does not equal youthful, It just looks old... read more

I recently moved to Cali which I was beyond happy about!! I'm a fitness competitor and personal trainer and like most women place a lot of value around my skin care routine. I was extremely nervous about finding someone new to take great care of my normal routine of Botox specifically. Ive always loved and used the ZO SKIN products. They are all so amazing and skin changing!! I decided to give their office a chance and called for an appt. I was placed with May, they communicated it was his assistant and assured me that she was more than qualified. They were absolutely RIGHT!!!!! To be fully transparent, this by far was my BEST EXPERIENCE Ive ever had!!!! She was extremely professional, warm, friendly, caring, knowledgeable and took the time to explain exactly what she thought was best. She listened to my concerns and what I wanted to achieve first. She gave me her professional honest opinion about what she thought would be best to reach my goal. She was very detail oriented about explaining things and the actual injections. It makes a world of difference when you know and feel like you can trust the person doing any type of cosmetic procedure on you. Especially with facial injections. I honestly, didn't know what Botox was supposed to look and feel like until I saw May. About 5 months after, I had the treatment with her quarantine happened. Typically, with my fitness routine I metabolize it faster than normal. So, naturally I thought i would start to see it decrease through quarantine. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE!!! This has been the longest time that I've had my Botox last. I can confirm my workout regimen did not slack through quarantine due to having a home gym! My fitness routine stayed completely the same. Zo Skin is CANCELED After almost 4 years of being a patient here.. I finally quit. Don't ask me how much money I spent here. All for nothing. Products last for only as long as you use them, w out the products.. everything comes back. Zo Skin Center also does Plastic Surgery Consultations for 300 dollars... Never received one call back from the Doctor and he kept the 300. Made a report for that. Results? Nothing. Received products in the mail that were display and half empty! Made a complaint.. nothing. The clinical consultations are only available so you will buy more product.. Not once was I shown my "before and after" photos to track my results! I was never even offered a peel? I have serious melisma ! It's been almost 4 years?! No notification for cancellations.. so I show up for my canceled appt and am advised to have a consultation with Dr. Obagi s daughter instead. How exciting right?? Not so much The first thing she does is tell you how "bad" u look and that u need their botox treatments. I'm not even here for Botox..Focus Female!
