Daniel was great at corresponding with us via email to set up our family photo session during our vacation at Lake Tahoe. He listened to what we were looking for and found the perfect place to take the photos we wanted. He had great suggestions for attire and let us do a outfit change part of the way through the shoot so we could have some red for Christmas card photos but more muted colors for the prints we will give as gifts and the canvas print we will hang in our home. His prices cannot be beat in the area. I talked to several photographers, and though I went with him because of his sample photos and how well he communicated, his price was the best out of all that I talked to. Our shoot included digital HD copies of all the retouched photos as well as a printed 8x10 & 2-5x7s Like other reviewers say, it's like working with a close family friend. He gets everyone to relax and have fun and it shows in his photos. And he's such a nice guy and goes out of his way to get the photos you want as well as not putting a time limit on his shoot so that you are happy with the photos. My fiancé and I really enjoyed working with Daniel! He had such amazing energy and allowed us to relax during our photoshoot. I worked with Dan to create a surprise proposal shoot and he made sure to find a great spot for me to propose, considering I was coming from out of town. He even made sure the snow was stamped down for us to be able to dance, set up several cameras, and made time for us to get an outfit change in. We ended up taking a bit longer to change and it cut into our time to do the second part of the shoot, but even with those restraints, Dan was able to guide us and position us well so that we got some really amazing photos. The extras (ALL photos included, print credits, outfit/location changes given the right timing, the actual length of a shoot) included in Daniel's pricing are also, by far, the best competitive prices I have seen. He also gave me a hidden mic to record the proposal, which gave us a lot of great moments to look back on! Daniel met our family of 16 in a lovely meadow near King's Beach in Tahoe. We were unfamiliar with the area, but he guided us to a great location for our family pictures. Our experience with Daniel was beyond what the positive reviews have written about his business. My wife and I had to make a quick detour from the wedding we had originally planned pre-pandemic. This current version of planning a wedding is pretty difficult. Venues are limited, staffing is limited and let's not mention all of the other obstacles we encountered during our wedding experience. But Daniel was such a shining star during our wedding experience! Tahoe City became our destination. We had the date, and we found our spot. We had an idea for a very small niche style wedding. Everything became so complicated, and all that we wanted was something very quite, simple, and quick. We spoke with Daniel several times over the phone, text and once over zoom, which also lead to a hilarious and embarrassing moment. Daniel handled it very professional and didn't let my silly accidental zoom background effect detour him. Just a few weeks prior to our wedding date the greater Lake Tahoe area was dealing with fires which almost cancelled our special day. But we pushed ahead, catching a break. Thank you to all the Firefighters . On our wedding day Daniel was early and that was such a reassurance, as we were all a little behind. He quickly met up with one of my wedding guests and shared information on the area. Big kuddos on being very friendly and welcoming! Once we all showed up, he directed everything and everyone like a Hollywood director in such a natural way. He had a gentle and authentic way when dealing with everyone. Especially my soon to be wife. Daniel's photos of her make me break down in the same way as when I first seen her in her wedding dress, BEAUTIFUL! My overall experience with Daniel was one that will remain with me forever. Whenever I reflect on my wedding day I can look back on these photos and recall it all. He captured the moments of our wedding with perfection. I don't know many photographers but Daniel is one of a kind!
