I would love to give Daniel 5 stars because he was so nice and welcoming, but during my move, to start, the movers showed up late. Only 3/4 showed up at first and they forgot the pads and wrapping for the furniture, so one guy left for another 30 minutes to grab the stuff. About 20 minutes later, 1 more guy showed up, but after that 1 of the other guys quit in the middle of it. I was not given any compensation for this. Wyatt and Mongo were outstanding, friendly, and efficient. However, the third guy was not gentle with furniture and scraped my walls and broke a couple of things. A follow up phone call was never given after the move. Like I said, Daniel, Wyatt, and Mongo were very very friendly and excellent, but too many things went south for me to give 5 stars. Daniel Movers drove a 16' truck and my car on a trailer from Reno NV to Greenville SC. They loaded our furniture and possessions with care. There was good communication during the move. do not book with this company. The movers broke mine 75 inch smart TV and told me the company was going to replace it. It has been over two weeks now I have been going back-and-forth with the owner Daniel now he is stating he is not going to replace my television because he believe it was broke before he mounted my television to the wall also, his wife showed up during the job and was causing problems at my house. They were having relationship problems. This guy is a rip off. They moved me into storage. They damaged items. He quoted me the price of $2,100 to move me two and a half miles away. I paid him $2,100 to move me from Spanish springs to StorQuest on Maestro, Reno. When he gave me that price I asked him to leave. He would not leave. I asked him five times to leave and the employee came down to see what the ruckus was all about and that's when he finally left. When they moved me it took Mr Daniels 45 minutes to go get a TV box that he forgot. There was a U-Haul store 2 miles away. How did that take 45 minutes to pick up. Meanwhile one of the workers is sitting on my driveway smoking cigarettes telling me there's nothing that can be done until they get the box for the TV. The other workers were still working I don't know why that guy couldn't find something to do. He even asked me if I would rent a truck and let his employee drive it. Why would I be responsible for getting a truck for the movers to move? I asked for my furniture to be wrapped Mr Daniels did not tell me it was $10 per blanket. I paid him but in hindsight I did not have to pay for them because it wasn't part of the contract and he never told me it was going to be $10 more per blanket. I feel ripped off and I feel that my belongings were not handled in a proper way to avoid damage. He also accused me of being drunk at 11:00 in the morning. I was five or six feet away from him and I blew a breath of air at him and he said oh my God now I need to go get tested. I never would have blown in his direction had he not accused me of being drunk. This guy is some piece of work. I cannot tell you enough how bad it would be for you to hire this company. I've been through many moves my husband is retired Navy. The dumbest thing I've ever seen were these Packers taken all the extension cords all of the remotes and put in them in one bucket. The smart and obvious way to do this is to wrap the things up that go with the TV and put them in the box with the tv. If that bucket is missing then I don't have any parts to my TVs no remotes. And so far I have not been able to find that bucket and I have been through the whole unit. Why would anybody not pack the remotes and extension cords etc in the box with the item. The dumbest thing I've ever seen out of any movers and my husband was in the Navy and we had plenty of moves. So I have experience with movers and Daniel's family's movers is the worst mover I have ever dealt with. The employee was at the gate when I was leaving and after talking to her I asked her if she smelt any alcohol on my breath and she did not. This guy is a rip off! His quote of 2100 was way over the top as I had already cleaned out 1/3 of the locker. There was no big couch to move, no king size bed mattress, no twin beds, no sleigh bed headboard and footboard, no kitchen table no kitchen table chairs, no patio set, no outside fire pit, and more items I can't think of at the moment that I had picked up and taken to trash. many more things that I had picked up but he still wanted to charge me $2,100 for moving 2/3 of the original property he moved and I can't emphasize this enough I only live 2 mi away from my storage unit. The move from Spanish springs to the storage unit was 13 miles. How does that come out to the same price for moving since they charge you by the mile. Daniel Family Movers started on a great note with quick and professional communication. The reservation process was easy and the price very affordable. However, while still professional and friendly in their actions and communication, they were untimely and ill-prepared. I was told 2 hours to pack and load with an additional 45 minutes to unload. I asked if they needed to view my house to understand the size and volume, but I was told that was not needed and told no problem when I advised of an attic after the initial discussion. They showed up two and 1/2 hours late (some of that due to weather issues of of their control) and without enough staff or supplies to complete the packing and loading process. Since it took longer than expected, I made the decision to stop the process about 8pm that evening. The original start time was 9am. Since they were so professional and friendly I requested three more contracts. One to finish moving the items to storage, one to clean (with a cleaning company they are affiliated with) and a final one to move from the storage company into the new home. I was told that the second move would have 7 staff members. They then double booked the moving dates and times and did not provide all staff extending the move time once again. As a now unhappy customer, I called for an update. I was told that if I was unhappy they could unload and leave. I was offered a $100 discount. I stated that I needed the move completed. I was informed by my family assisting since I as unable to be there that there was a new whole in the wall. I did feel that it would have been done by their staff but have since determined another instance when it could have happened. So, I acknowledge they were not at fault. They finished the load and refused to unload at the storage unit until they received payment based on the unprofessional phone call and lack of prior payment. I know I had no intention of not paying them, and I had paid them in full for previous work. However, they did not know my intentions, and I was told their lawyer was contacted. I asked when I did not pay them but did not receive a response; nor did I ever receive any communication regarding non-payment. Also, since, according to them, I was so unprofessional during the phone call and since the very beginning, they cancelled the remaining contracts. I was already researching other companies so this did not pose concern for me. I provided a 2 rating as they were professional and friendly at the start of the business relationship. Items seemed to be well packed, but I will know of any issues when everything is unpacked. I've contacted my own attorney as I am being accused of non-payment and for being the unprofessional party and because of the negative and accusatory response I may receive to this review. I was at work in meetings all day so was completely unable to respond to their communications. I had family members present because I knew that I would be unavailable.
