Overall, very positive experience. There is one important thing to know: The people who show up to pack and move your things are very, very efficient. You will think, "there are only three of them; I can keep track of what they're all up to." This is the devil speaking. You can keep track of nothing. If there are things that should not be loaded, put them in a corner, put up caution tape, and put a chair in front of it. Then sit in that chair and let them work their magic. It is astonishing to watch them work. We had them load moving crates, and then had the crates shipped separately, and arranged separate movers on the far end--honestly, it would've been a lot easier to just get the full service all the way through, and the price would've been much the same in the end. We hired the Reno TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise for an interstate move. The estimator walked through everything that needed to be moved beforehand. On move day, both trucks left with items still at the house because the load was underestimated. We had to drive back, rent a U-Haul, and finish the job ourselves. We escalated to corporate, who confirmed they forwarded the complaint to the franchise. That was over 10 days ago. The franchise has not reached out once. If you are considering this company for an interstate move, factor in that mistakes may not get corrected, and you may not hear from them at all. read more

I hired Two Men and a Truck in Reno during a really difficult time after a death in my family, when I needed to clear out an apartment on a tight timeline. After paying the deposit, I was told I would receive a confirmation--but I never did. On the day of the move, I still hadn't heard anything. I tried calling multiple times and only reached voicemail. With no way to confirm whether they were actually coming (and only one day to get everything done), I had to assume they weren't and ended up renting a truck and moving everything myself. Later, the movers did show up--but by that point, the job was already done. I want to be clear: the movers themselves were kind, professional, and accommodating. This issue is not about them. The bigger problem was communication and follow-through from the office. I still couldn't reach anyone directly, and the movers had to call on my behalf. I was told I wouldn't be charged further and to call on Monday to have my deposit refunded. When I followed up, I was told I'd get a call back--then heard nothing for weeks. After reaching out again, I was told the deposit could not be refunded, despite the fact that no services were actually performed and I never received a proper confirmation. At the end of the day, I essentially paid a $200 deposit for a truck to show up and leave. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to be cautious. Make sure you have clear, confirmed communication before relying on them--especially if you're working within a tight or sensitive timeline. I have never been so scammed by any business in all my life. I received an estimate for 3 men, not to exceed 4 hours from start of move to end. (Was told that the move would only take about 2.5 hrs.) I ended up with 2 men (adjusted rate) but these two took over 6 hours to move a one bedroom apartment, 4 miles. They were highly inefficient in loading the truck and only one fellow was moving boxes. The other worker wrapped my 10 pieces of furniture like they were going overseas, They didn't remove, the shrink wrap from the furniture, nor did they set up my adjustable bed. There was some damage to my furniture, but never got a chance to go over the move with them. Once the truck was loaded ( over4 hours), they then took 40 minutes to drive from one location to the other (4 miles), guess I was charged for their lunch stop, plus filling up with gas in the morning on the way to my home. They handed me a bill at the end of the move and even suggested I give them a tip.... some nerve. I have tried on numerous times to speak with the business owner, Justin...but to no avail. They were highly professional, down to the last detail of getting the towel lined up evenly and symmetrically under our heavy 40-gallon fish tank at the new house. (I had a previous move using the least expensive movers I could find, and it went horribly-- I was was left, a single mom with a toddler, to carry all of my belongings up to the second floor myself)... They arrived on time and were a fantastic group of guys. We packed the 26-foot truck to the brim with many fragile items, including paintings and quartz furniture, yet nothing was broken! I'm genuinely amazed. E was particularly professional, and his confidence reassured us that the job would be completed successfully. The other team members were also very efficient and professional. We were worried that some items might break and that the job would drag into the night, but everything was finished on time and efficiently. I used Two Men for both a move and junk removal. Both crews were professional, polite and friendly. The movers handled my stuff with care, and kept shooing me off when I tried to help out, insisting I let them take care of things. No job ever goes perfectly, there were a few glitches, with my move, but 2 Mens's crews made sure things got finished properly, coming back twice to do so. The young man sent to do my junk removal cleaned out my apartment in under an hour, and was as professional and friendly as the moving crew. Getting a quote for both jobs was easy over the phone, I gave descriptions of my possessions and junk to let them estimate the size of the jobs and got both quotes in under 20 minutes. I wish I wrote this review sooner! It's been over a year but I can't even get into my storage because the crew just "threw" my things in there! Last time I went to storage things fell out hit me in the head and glass broke everywhere! The first crew to move some of my stuff to my apartment was awesome'. Although the young kid kept asking after every piece was entered into their truck "is that it". Moving is stressful he doesn't need to ask that question over and over! The second crew who moved my remaining things into my storage at my apartment were the worst! They only cared if there were stairs I told them 3 times NO STAIRS! It's like they didn't believe me! These guys were amazing! We wanted only our furniture and heavy things moved as we were only going about a mile and we had handled our smaller items ourselves. That being said, we have a big house with a lot of heavy items! We were quoted a fair price (actually ended up being less on move day) and booked our date. They were in good communication leading up to our scheduled day. The morning of our move, they came with SIX guys and three trucks! Super polite young men and very hardworking. It started when we went into the place to speak with someone and Justin helped walk us through the entire process and even provided coffee. He was very professional and thorough in his explanation of everything. They confirmed again the day before the move and the morning of. The driver Roman called to let us know that he was leaving to head to us and his team arrived right on time that he quoted us. They were systematic, professional, and took extra care of all of the things we had. I have cabinets that were my mother's and they paid extra attention to those. Angel and Fisu were such hard workers and under Roman's guidance they were an incredible team. The final price was exactly as quoted and within the exact time frame as well. I had a scheduled move for a piano and they no-showed and wouldn't return my calls. Very frustrating and unprofessional to say the least.

I hired this company for a move from Nevada to Oregon last week. The moving team got the job done timely and efficiently. However, one of their employees stole a wallet from me with thousands of dollars of cash in it as they were leaving my drop location. Luckily, I noticed the wallet was missing immediately, and was able to stop the movers in the parking lot before they left. After about a 15 minutes standoff and a warning to call the police, the wallet was returned with all the cash accounted for. The General Manager, Justin, was notified of the situation and was supportive while the money was missing. Justin stated the next day he would get back to me after speaking to the owner about a discount do to this inconvenience, and now he is mysteriously ghosting me and will not return texts or phone calls. The attempt to steal from me was extremely violating and unprofessional. I should also mention that they only sent 3 of the 4 movers to the drop point. When they loaded the truck, one of their employees barely helped with anything and was pretty much a waste. He was apparently asked to not continue to the drop location. The company definitely need to look into the caliber of people they hire both from a work ethic and integrity standpoint. Very disappointed in how this move ended up and I would be very cautious to recommend this company. While the theft is directly related to a person, it is still a reflection on the company and management to have this happen within their organization. The lack of follow up from the Management team is extremely disappointing. Although I am happy that the guys were very quick and respectful of my stuff and that the cost was lower Than quoted, I wish they would have handled my piano a little better. My hope is that it wasn't gonna touch the ground from old home to truck, and then again from Truck to new home. But it did four times - I get that it's heavy but a little more care please. If I were to move the piano again, I would hire the Piano Mover Company that I hired the first time. I felt myself cringe every time they banged the piano on the ground. They also did not unwrap the piano, the desk, and chair in the music room. The crew left water bottles at the old house and new house. We moved from Reno to Spokane. It was the worst experience ever!! They damaged alot of our things. Half of the workers had poor hygiene and it was difficult to even be in the same room with them. One guys that was training, didn't feel well and was using our bathroom for hours during the move. They pack everything on top of each other, whether it was marked fragile or not. The dryer was completely dinged on top, no mattress covers that we paid for, and our TVs were not covered and many other things. They paid for some of damages. The second load was damaged as well, and they will not take any responsibility. We spoke with Justin the manager. He is absolutely unprofessional and will not let you talk and talks over you. Terrible customer service at his end. We had the rest of our stuff put in storage because WE underestimated incorrectly. When our new movers (contracted) went to get our stuff, the storage unit gave our movers the wrong storage unit. Our movers traveled 13 hours each way with the wrong items. Would give them zero stars if I could. None of my furniture was wrapped. There was damage to a few pieces of furniture. The worst were the boxes. They moved my stuff into a storage locker and stacked all my heavy boxes on lighter ones. Over half the boxes were damaged in some way. I waited for my review, very happy with the office staff, and scheduling. To make a long story short, almost every piece of furniture moved/stored was damaged in some way, which was reported to the office staff. We were given a check to cover some of the damages, but, the furniture has deep gouges, which can't be fixed. We also had damage in our new home to door jams, some of the scratches were very deep. All in all, the workers worked very hard, and were here for the time promised, we will never use this service again. read more

This was an excellent moving experience. They moved my two bedroom home 5 miles in Reno. It took 5 1/2 hours with three men. The three men were so polite and conscientious. They wrapped all the furniture with moving blankets and then wrapped them with plastic so they wouldn't be damaged. BD and the others (sorry it's been too long and I forgot their names) were great. The guys are great, younger & hard working, but be careful when you're telling them how big your house is & what needs to be moved. In fact, I would suggest you have someone come out and take a look before the estimate. I have a pretty detailed list of what would need to be moved & as it turns out, not everything would fit on the truck, so now I'm in it for another $600. Also, they don't do a very good job of putting the furniture back together. I now have a sleep number mattress that won't fill, a dresser without a mirror (and I can't find the hard ware to do it myself, and other bits and pieces of didn't get put where I asked.... So, if it's a small move, you should be okay with 2 guys and a truck, but for a large move, I would go with someone else. read more

Horrible. We moved in November approximately 20 miles away. Everyone was polite and informative prior to the move but the actual move was horrific. Most of my furniture and antiques were damaged in one way or another. They turned my 60 year old piano on its "side" for no apparent reason and broke the hinges and the sheet music stand on it. They also "rolled" my safe "end over end" into my office from the truck. Everything was chipped, broken or upended and throw around like it was garbage. I literally had to go thru everything I own to re-organize and straighten everything, down to my paper clips in my desk ( the desk was also moved sideways, the clips were everywhere in all 3 drawers and falling out of the desk... instead of in one drawer the way it left our old house). Everything was also covered in dirt/dust, I assume from the inside of the truck. They were rushing as the day passed by and they also took a giant box (like the kind the grocery store has for pumpkins) and threw all the misc. stuff in it and then brought it to our new house and randomly dumped the items wherever they wanted. Four out of 6 lamps were broken in transit and We are still looking for lost stuff due to their mishandling our personal items. BUYER BEWARE!!
