I've known Daniel Ganc since he started in his medical practice in East Boca about 8 years ago. While I did not visit him frequently for the care of my all year long allergies, he was part of a larger ENT practice where I saw one of his colleagues. Recently I was hospitalized through the Emergency Department for the treatment of epistaxis, or commonly known as a nose bleed. So, all of you out there may wonder, especially if you have had children, what's the big deal with a nose bleed which requires hospitalization? Well, the big deal is when you're a man of my age, with underlying complex medical conditions which include cardiac disease and A-Fib, and are on "blood thinners" to prevent the risk of a stroke, then that simple nose bleed converts to a life threatening uncontrollable bleed. And that's exactly what I found myself with on a recent Saturday at 5 AM. After an ER experience which eventually led to an appropriate decision to admit, my ENT was called in to consult with the object of doing a cauterization to stop the bleed. Dr Ganc was covering for my ENT. Packing the nostrils did not stop the bleed, in fact, it caused the blood to run down my throat and create a gagging effect and development of blood clots. Yes, messy and not what you want to read about as you are glancing through Yelp having a coffee or dinner. But it was a real serious medical challenge. And you may be faced with one and need how to proceed and who to call. Dr Ganc showed up bedside at around 7:30 AM, on a rainy Saturday, looking like he had just finished a modeling shoot. Yes, he's handsome. No, he's attractive. No, he's hot. Yes, he's very very hot. But more importantly, he's imminently qualified and exceedingly well trained. A graduate of University of Pennsylvania, medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, and Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School he relocated to South Florida. He is an Assistant Professor at FAU College of Medicine and is up to date in his field. His areas of expertise include balloon sinuplasty for sinusitis, headaches and nasal congestion (who doesn't have these?) as well as voice and swallowing problems and allergy testing. But for me, not only was he a sight for weary and sore eyes, he was my savior. He was sensitive, listened to me and questioned me extensively about symptoms, what had been done in the various ER visits, prior history, and of course, the delicate discussion about going off the two blood thinners and the risks associated. After agreeing to proceed, he examined me thoroughly, through both nostrils, my throat, ears. He pressed. He probed. He held his finger on my tongue so tight and so far down my throat I thought I was in some S&M film rehearsal. But it was all necessary to determine where the bleed came from, and to properly cauterize my nostril. He also suctioned out all the blood clots that had accumulated in his throat which were causing me to gag and throw up blood. Yes this is a vivid discussion, but no different than my Yelp Friends who describe food sauces or drink mixers in exacting and sometime annoying details. Bottom line, he was there for me on an early Saturday morning and did what was needed to stabilize my condition. When he left, about 95 minutes later, I was exceedingly appreciative. He was technically proficient, sensitive and engaging. He remembered when we first met, that my partner/husband was Puerto Rican (he speaks Spanish, French, Hebrew, and Portuguese fluently) as well as some Creole. He is a genuinely nice guy, and if reviewers comment otherwise, discount their rankings. A followup visit to his office post hospital discharge was handled in an efficient and professional manner. I was squeezed in on a busy Monday morning and once in his presence was given all the time I needed. Need an ENT? If you insurance covers this provider, make an appointment immediately and get yourself highly qualified well trained sensitive care, packed into a model's persona. Go for it. Get that ENT checkup! One of the worst experiences. I came in with two issues and I left with high bills and none of my issues were solved. First of all, I asked from the start what is the price for my appointment and let me know how much is my co-pay for appointment or any procedure. Receptionist said she will check. She didn't. I had to go back and ask and I was told the price that was acceptable to me. I paid at the end of my visit. Doctor Ganc did not know about the solution for my issue that I was presenting, he kept saying this kind of procedure doesn't exist, acted like I'm crazy. After I convinced him that it does exist and wanted to show him about it online, he finally said "We don't do it here in this office". So I left without my issues solved and after one or two months I received a letter saying I have to go back to do some scans otherwise I have risk for tumors and death. It's just their procedure to scare a patient into coming back and performing different recommended procedures (that I actually didn't need, I had done it elsewhere). After about four months I received a bill for over 250$ I didn't know what about. As I was told my appointment co-pay included everything. Very rude billing department employee lied about my insurance paying their bill only now, that's why they send some strange bills after almost half a year! Just so disappointed with this clinic. By law they are supposed to tell each client how much is their payment before any procedure and NOT 4 months later! Shame. Please beware this place and read all 1 star reviews. "Doctor" Daniel Ganc performed unnecessary medical procedures as an excuse to charge for for the health insurance bills. Please see previous 1 star reviews from other patients who were also victims to this malpractice. Examples include sprays in the throat and nose, cameras through nasal cavity, and earwax removal, and a non-consensual subscription to a nasal spray plan. He purposely inflates the bill to overcharge both patients and health insurance providers. Upon contacting his office, the employees are profoundly rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend this "physician" at all, and would highly suggest you seek someone else who actually has competence and is not inept. read more

Totally wasted visit. I waited two years to see an ENT. My upper sinus has been bothering me. I expanded to Dr. He gave me a prescription for my stomach! Needless to say it didn't work and I'm experiencing same symptoms. Charged REDICULOUS amount for NOTHING! Choose another doc if you need attention! read more

Dr. Daniel Ganc has been my allergy specialist for approximately 2 1/2 years. I originated from Boston and worked in a major hospital there. I suffered with allergies for many years before moving to Florida 6 years ago and had been to many specialists in Boston, to no avail. I am happy to say that Dr Ganc was my answer. He performed tests which I had never had before. He is willing to listen and is kind, courteous and extremely professional. I've been a pest, I mean a patient of Dr. Ganc for over 7 years! I've had sinus and ear problems since I was three. Dr Ganc truly does care about his patients. I've had two ballon sinuplasty procedures done by him, I've had custom ear plugs made at his practice, I've done allergy testing and shots, and I've done earring testing in his office. As someone who does suffer from chronic sinusitis I can say I'm thankful for Dr. Ganc and all he has done for me. He doesn't rush you, he's a good at listening and he's honest. This is one doctor I never ever mind waiting for. His staff; MA and front desk are awesome. I've sent a few friends to see him for second opinions and a few family members to him. This is the worst doctor's office I've ever been too. Completely unorganized and unprofessional. Made an appointment 1 month prior and confirmed appointment day before. I show up and they've canceled my appointment and booked someone for my scheduled my appointment. Apparently not I. The system what so ever, showing the proof of appointment and proof of automated call confirming. Do not go see his doctor as his staff can't maintain a schedule. read more

I only wish there were 10 stars for this physician but I will give the max of 5. My 15-year old daughter needed surgery. Her previous ENT said it was risky and I should go to Miami to the head of surgery at a hospital there. Instead, I went to Dr. Ganc. First, the surgery went splendid, without incident, and she is healthy. Second, he is not only a great doctor and surgeon but he is warm and friendly. You can talk to him and he listens. His staff is awesome. They are friendly and extremely helpful. This is a great ENT practice. Dr. Ganc is #1 in my book. read more

I only gave this practice a star because the staff is great. The doctor is awful. After making me wait 1/2 hour to come into the room, he never answered any of my questions, was obviously distracted and didn't appear to be in the least interested in my issues. I had a small wax build up in one ear and he proceeded to clean it with an ear vacuum with the suction up so high I almost cried. I couldn't hear out of one ear after the procedure and he dismissed it with "oh, that will fade in an hour or so." But what about the damage to my eardrum? I have the slightest bit of tinnitus and he was already telling me I needed hearing aids. I think he's a rep for Miracle Ear! Just a warning--find a different ENT. Maybe at Walmart? read more

I wish there where more stars to highlight. Dr. Ganc is the best ENT I have ever been to. He listens to your concerns without the feeling of being rushed out. I went to audiologist today for a baseline, audiologist was very efficient & kind. Afterwards, reviewed the findings with Dr. Ganc. He is so kind & patient. He has take care of myself & family. If I one wish, it would be for all my Dr's to be just like Dr. Ganc! read more

Worst office staff ever! If they had brains, they'd be dangerous. We got a referral and went to the office only to be told that it's not sufficient. After waiting one hour in the office, they told us they were going to lunch and to come back at 4:00. We went back and yes, you guessed it right, they still didn't have what they needed. This is after we waited another 45 minutes! We wouldn't go back if he was the last ENT in town, which thankfully he is not! We've already seen a much better doctor with a terrific staff! PS. To the "genius" employee who came to talk to us, the word is "specific" and not "pacific", unless of course you're talking about the ocean! They sure don't hire them for their intelligence! read more

I waited an hour to be taken into the room, waited a half hour to see the doctor. He did a swab of my throat to see what was wrong and I never got a call back with my results. I called once and the woman who answered had a nasty tone and told me she couldn't give me the results and that I'd have to call back for the doctor. Dr. Ganc was fine, and the audiologist, Dr. Heffner, was very good, but their billing department (Annette and Andrea) has been holding over $10,000 ($7,000 from me and $3,850 from insurance) for more than two months, and will not refund it. I've filed two complaints with the insurance commission. Whatever you do, don't give them any money up front if you have insurance that you expect to reimburse you. They have a business model to hold onto your money. read more

Dr Ganc and his entire staff are wonderful. They fit me in right away the next day for a sinus infection. Dr Ganc was kind, had wonderful bedside manner, listened carefully to my symptoms and spent a lot of time with me figuring out a good course of treatment. He was very knowledgeable and professional and answered all of my questions. The nurse even held my hand while he did a minor procedure because I told her I was nervous. read more

We all know, no one like Dr's or any kind of surgery, but this was a great experience from the moment I meet the whole staff. My surgery was November 10 2017 and it went great, I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks , well they made me feel great , from explaining everything he was doing while he was doing the surgery to Leah holding my hand through the whole thing. Dr. Ganc also called me that night to see how I was ... I was never in any pain, just pressure. Highly recommend Dr. Ganc and his staff! Great experience!
