The initial email I received sounded promising but the help stopped there. My initial practitioner was Amanda. Frankly, she was not very bright. She made no queries as to what I was already taking, went entirely on the results of the blood test they did, basically treating the test results instead of me. As is the norm in allopathic medicine, the entire reason why I sought a different kind of help. She even wrote down the opposite of something I said, which was that the lactate form of magnesium I was taking appeared to be CAUSING my RLS, because when I started on a different form it was obvious what the connection was. But -- that was either not understood at all or was simply ignored, because what she wrote down was that it was helping. !!!!! How can you treat someone when you can't even get a simple report like this recorded correctly? Even though I had no improvement in symptoms and actually continued to decline, I just got the "same old same old" every session, with more and more being added based on my "progression" through the clipboard of "this is what you do for this test result." Balderdash, blah-blah, no IQ evident, just rules following. What about what I was already taking? Why was that not investigated for efficacy or negative effects? 35 pills a day already, and we ignore that? I was referred to Dr Schmidt himself, who also did absolutely nothing to help -- kept testing this and that supplement remotely, nopity-nope-nope. I decided to eat the $200 "exit fee" because it was cheaper than continuing to pay for something that CLEARLY was focused on a program that operates on what test results are for that "most wonderful test" that they use as a baseline. Don't bother wasting your money.

PR Fitness is a spin-off of Running Fit's 501 Runner's group, and is intended to help endurance athletes train for Personal Records in triathlons, marathons, etc. PR Fitness' current group run business model is that all runs are free and on a drop-in basis, making it a wonderful and cheap way to enjoy distance running in a group setting. The founders are very open and communicative, offering training advice on the runs. They also offer paid training consultation sessions. Longer runs are generally mapped out with rest stations (water, gatorade), every couple of miles; runners set their own pace at whatever rate they're comfortable with. The Saturday morning sessions are well organized and offer a convenient venue to long distance train in a group setting. The weekday runs occur after 6, and are shorter in distance. Overall, PR Fitness has gotten off to a great start, developing a set of followers passionate about fitness and record setting, while still maintaining a Beginner Friendly vibe.

I've been training with Andrew now for years. I first started seeing him when I needed help continuing with my weight loss and strength training. As a patient with heart disease he did a wonderful job of challenging me without pushing my limits. Workouts are always different, fun, and a great pace. His knowledge of nutrition, fitness, science, and his dedication to expanding this knowledge has made him an amazing diverse trainer. I came back for training after my heart transplant and it's been one of the best experiences in my journey. I've never felt this safe during workouts.
