They assuage your nerves and have a very spa vibe about the place. Our previous kids' dentist office was a "kids dentist" but this one doesn't have a TV or kid-friendly images on the walls. That almost dissuaded me from taking my kids here but the dental hygienist was amazing with both of my kids!!! She explained everything in fun, kid-friendly terms, encouraged them to ask questions, and let my 3 year old sit on my lap for the whole procedure. For my 6 year old, I was in the room the entire time except for X-rays. They are really a fabulous practice with great people and services available!

The hygienist Lynn used Ultrasound which meant less digging and scraping. She also put mitts on my hands which provided a skin treatment for my hands while she cleaned my teeth - unreal! Painfree experience yesterday having crown. Dr. Fieder was very friendly and caring as was the dental assistant Alicia. They both made sure that I was doing ok throughout the procedure. It was our first visit, so we were not allowed an afternoon appt (their policy until you establish yourself as a reliable patient who keeps appts) so I took her out of school early. The paperwork was a nightmare! It took me longer to fill it out than it did for her entire appt! I have a major beef: They would not let me come back with my daughter for her session. Hence, I was not able to tell them why I'd brought her in; nor was I advised of what procedures they were doing on her until after the fact. Before I had even filled out the paperwork releasing them to do as they saw fit for my child's teeth, they had already done it! They took x-rays and put some sort of sealer containing fluoride on her molars without telling me. By the time they brought me back it was done and the dentist spent a total of 30 seconds talking to me. Dr. Gould said she had no cavity and he "took care of everything." When we got home I took a look under the light and, basically, what he did was dump "sealant" over the molars, not even filling the giant hole I brought her in for. Furthermore, the molars were not cleaned! I could see on the edges of the sealant that the crevices were still dark and unscraped. No wonder the whole appointment only took about 20 minutes total. Now I have to decide whether to take away precious school time again to get the hole filled properly. The only positive thing I will say about this practice is that they supposedly do not use dangerous amalgams in their fillings (this I inquired about when I made the appointment).

After the initial visits to fix my teeth, I've been maybe 4 times to have a filling (in 10 years), to replace the ones he didn't put in. My teeth went from horrible to great. He only does work when he has to, never adds things on just to get money out of you. I actually went to a different doctor while he was on vacation, and this doctor told me I need a cap on a tooth and all this other work. Dr.Whiting put in a new filling instead. Which will hold up for another 15 years and will have saved me thousands of dollars. Very honest, knowledable guy. I have moved and now have to travel around 1.5 hrs to get to his office, but I refuse to change my dentist because I don't trust anybody else. I HIGHLY recommend him.
