The staff were very inviting. All of my questions were answered. Everyone has positive attitudes even down to the kitchen staff we tested the food. The food was hot and fresh. The rooms are spacious, and very clean. Its very warm and inviting. This turned around to be a easy decision. Definitely will be returning with both my parents moving in.

My…read moremother was admitted to the third floor of Mount Alverna Village for physical rehab, which we were told was "the best option in the area." If this is the best, I can't imagine what the other facilities are like. From the moment she arrived, the problems began. She was placed in a room with a non working TV and received no orientation whatsoever -- no information about meals, therapy schedules, daily routines, etc. When I arrived shortly after, I asked if there was an admission overview for families. I was told there wasn't. How do you admit a patient without giving them or their families any guidance? It was lunchtime when she arrived, and she hadn't eaten all day. The meal served was fish, which she doesn't eat, so they told her they'd bring her a sandwich. It took two and a half hours -- and only after I asked three different staff members -- for her to receive it. Her TV still wasn't fixed despite multiple requests. The overall attitude felt indifferent at best. I asked to speak with the manager, Rajwant Kaur LPN, because the lack of attention was already alarming. The explanation I received was that staff had been busy with a resident party. Yet after the party ended, my mother was LEFT IN A WET DIAPER FOR MORE THAN 14 HOURS!!! The neglect didn't stop there. My mom began documenting how long it took for someone to respond when she pressed the call button: 20 minutes, 30 minutes, sometimes longer. Occasionally someone would pop in only to say they'd return, and then she'd wait another 20 minutes or more. The breaking point came when a night aide was rude to her after she had an accident. She became so anxious about having another accident that she started getting up to use the bathroom on her own because she couldn't wait 40 minutes for help. This is dangerous for anyone, let alone someone with a fractured hip. She also repeatedly asked for her ice pack, only to be told it was "misplaced." Interestingly, it reappeared the moment I arrived to take her home -- after just four days. And Rajwant Kaur continued to make excuses. The only positive experience was with the chaplain, who was genuinely kind and comforting.

He was diagnosed with vascular dimentia which caused him to be bedridden. I visited 8 assisted living/Nursing Homes before I decided on Mount Alverna. I picked Mount Alverna because it was close to my home, it was non-profit and it was Catholic. I want to thank everyone at Mount Alverna for the care and kindness he received. The journey my brother and I traveled during this time was very difficult but made easier by the patience and understanding that the staff showed my brother. I couldn't have made a better choice selecting Mount Alverna. I am grateful that my brother was treated with respect and dignity during his final day. Thank you.

Our mother suffered a debilitating stroke at a fairly young age and was not ready to even think about nursing or assisted living care. After many months of in hospital therapy and a short stay in assisted living, with the help of Nick and his group she was able to move back home where they provide daily help to her as she continues her recovery. Cannot say enough about the wonderful care that she receives from Adam and Karen. They help with everything from laundry, house-cleaning, walking the dog, going to appointments, cooking/prepping food, personal grooming to simple daily companionship. Adam and Karen are very considerate and have been so very wonderful to her. They do anything she asks them to do and she is very happy with them. The whole group at Blue Dots Cares is very knowledgeable and they have worked with our family to make sure we have the best caregivers to meet our needs. We are very pleased and would highly recommend Nick and group to anyone looking.

Well, i can say, i did had doubt about this place, and i had some run in with some nurse staff, but…read moremy husband been there 3 years and it had improved alot, i mean, when nurse there not doing there job and they being a snot? I can Truly say manager gets on there behind or hire new nurse, i also have a mother in law in there, and come fine out? She not beening treated l nice but once i talk to manager thing has improve! Only thing is, i dont like is the Laundry staff! The stealing and lieing like crap! Which i hope they improve, but i can say they have reverse his stoling items and plus gave him more! So yes! Every nursing home have ups an it down, its just you have give them head up more Offend in whats going on? Also, little improvement can be made on weakend staff because who ever that one operator must!!! got sleep apnea! Or something she Wont answer The phone and have attitude too ! Now who chic is i dont know maybe young lady! But they need have better serves on weekend operator, If any other problem occurr the management will jump right on it ! Please be patient too! Cause manager not there 24/7 so as long you get call back after you leave a message ? You good! And be ready to tell what your pronlem might be? Stay calm and say whats going on? Each resident should have a key to there close it! To resident whom can handle being responsible with a keyOr have there closet on there side of the room, with a key so they can lock up there belonging, which manager will have extra key too ,reason why i said this because,other resident will come in your room and go in your closet while you sleep? Starting in the front door the employees don't even like to open the door I guess it's too much…read morework ,the 99 % of the employees they're on their phone all the time like that's their job the phone,they don't even like to give water to my sister so they don't have to change her diaper, 2 days a go she hit the nurse button at 930am and at 200pm she was calling me crying because they keep ignoring her call I'm definitely getting her out of this place, they always short of staff that their excuse,her room is like a pool with her broken air conditioner but they never fix it,almost a year and just find out that they never help her wash her mouth not one time they run out of her diaper and instead of go get more they use someone else diapers that don't fit her and always making comments like why she call because she can do it her self when she's paralyzed, if you love you family member that need care this is not the place for them I'm so regretting to bring her here,and the manager always have n excuse on their favor instead of fix the problems and put the employees on the right spot for once
