This was my first time attending a minor league game. The top thing that stood out to me is that it is a very family-friendly and casual environment. There were plenty of chances to take a picture with Rocky Bluewinkle and the Chick-fil-A cow, which happened to be there that night. I was just disappointed I didn't get to meet Mr. Celery. Too busy with his on-field antics, I guess. In-game host and entertainment were also fun. Adult drinks are quite cheap compared to a MLB ballpark, as are the tickets. Because it's a small stadium, there is not a bad seat in the house! Frawley has your standard ballpark food. Chickie's and Pete's gets pretty busy, so get there early or off peak during the game. 20 minute walk from the Amtrak station on a beautiful trail along the river. It's so easy to visit from out of town. read more

You can't beat free parking in this day and age. This is a cute little stadium and a great introduction to baseball games if you've got little kids. It's very manageable to get around the entire stadium without getting tired and every seat is a great seat! Food and drink prices were not insane, and they run good happy hour specials. Me and my family got season tickets to the games and all the games were great! It was the Latin countries games with all the flags hanging up! It was so fun! The pizza, popcorn, chicken fingers are amazing! All around the stadium there are wheels and giveaways. I love this ball park! The parking is not expensive. read more

In Wilmington on business and the stadium was walking distance from my hotel. I love baseball, so an evening with the Blue Rocks was just the ticket. This is a nice ballpark with 2 picnic areas and general seating plus field seats and sky boxes. Good ballpark food options and plenty of beer choices. A nice family outing with a special alcohol free section. I will definitely catch another game if they are playing when I'm in town. read more

The wife and I took our 3 kids here a few days ago. No crazy traffic + free parking. The greeters and staff that worked there were very friendly. The stadium is a perfect size for kids since youre within a few feet of vendors and the bathrooms. The fireworks on this random night after the game were better than the 4th of July! Surprisingly great! We'll def. be back. read more

Mostly wonderful experience. I attended a game with the wife and kids last night. Clean stadium. Decent food if not overpriced. However. My wife was yelled at by one of the employees The young girl (who was wearing sweatpants which I found unprofessional) raised her voice at my wife when we asked about spoons. She also was talking rudely about our family afterwards in a voice audible to us. Her coworkers politely apologized on her behalf and encouraged her to take a break, which I respected. We had been having a good time until that point, but the experience kind of threw us off. read more

Always a good thing. As you might expect by now the entire stadium is smoke free. Seating is comfortable and the sight lines and audio are just fine. Speaking of sight lines; this is minor league baseball so you are very close to the action. It's a much different experience than a Phillies game. Other reviews mention the overpriced food but I disagree. It's a matter of managing your expectations. Unless you've been living under rock you expect higher prices at this type of venue. The food is actually cheaper than at a major league game and I think the quality is definitely better. This is a dynamite venue to visit. read more

A couple of years ago, my daughters school had a night with the Blue Rocks. This meant discounted tickets in our own section. It was her first baseball game. The area reminded me of the Camden Waterfront, basically a bad area that they put a nice facade on. Parking was ample. The Stadium was small, but also very comfortable. We did have our own section but after a few innings it seemed like we could sit just about anywhere. I recommend this experience for children as a first baseball outing. It wasnt so overwhelming as the Phillies can be. I dont know if they do this at every game but there was alot to do for the kids. In between each 1/2 inning they did some event (raffles, trivia, races, etc) for the kids to enjoy. Somehow, most of the kids in our group went home with some form of free swag. Plus we became intimate friends with the creepy Blue Rocks Mascot. The important thing was, the kids had fun and the adults had a good time as well. One funny note. I guess at one point maybe 10 years ago, international sex-symbol and superstar Johnny Damon played 2 games with the Blue Rocks, on his way to the major league. As a result of this, he still graces the cover of every Blue Rocks program, handed out at the game. Way to go, Delware Blue Rocks! Way to grasp on to mediocrity and ride it to the ground. read more

I went to a game here as a part of school field trip. It was an early game and it was rainy so the stadium was pretty empty. We went to get our food and we waited in line for an HOUR, an HOUR! For extremely overpriced, crappy food this was totally unacceptable. I can't imagine what the wait would have been had it been a sunny day and the place had been packed! I will never go back and I will recommend that teachers never take their students. You spend all your time in line rather than watching the game! Ridiculous. read more

Caught more than a few Blue Rocks game this season, sat in the picnic area, the bleachers and even a suite. There is not a bad seat in the stadium. And the ticket prices are down right cheap. Plus you can usually find some special going on, either ticket packages or give away nights, etc. Friday home games, free fireworks. Good selection of food & drinks at the concession stands. Nice gift shop & even a museum. Ample free parking. Conveniently located minutes from 95 on the Wilmington river front. Plenty of options for food & drink nearby. read more

I've grown up going to Blue Rocks games with my father. Never actually watched the game but enjoyed our trips just because of the atmosphere and bonding time. It is a cozy little stadium, and the food IS overpriced, but it is very family friendly and a simple fun activity to do. They usually have volunteers doing face painting and there is a balloon man who will make animals for donations. A family tradition for me! read more

I went to the stadium for a Blue Rocks game and sat in the "luxury" section. I forget what they call the section, but you get free sodas, burgers, hotdogs and the like with your ticket. I didn't have to pay for the ticket, so I thought it was great. I think that the usual cost is $20 or so for this area, which may be a little overpriced. Overall, I enjoyed the stadium.
