Contacted Daniel based on reviews. He was awesome, swift and left my fireplace room cleaner than when he showed up!!!! He handled the barking dog well and fixed the chimney cap quickly came inside cleaned up a bit and taught me about using chips as kindling when I dont have any. He explained why the smoke has been trapped in my house and takes so long to make its way up the chimney. Spent like 30minutes total and now I have zero clogging issues with smoke!!! Daniel was simply superb. Friendly, knowledgable, thorough. Unlike a lot of times when you have strangers come to your house to perform services, I felt right at home with him. He completed the job without delay. The job was to clean a dryer vent in a 50 year-old house I inherited and for which vent cleaning had probably never been done, with bends and a distance of 40 ft. Definitely will use Daniel again. He was punctual, professional and honest. I have no knowledge about chimneys whatsoever. I was told by the inspector (when we purchased our home 2 years ago) that we needed to clean the chimney prior to using it. Daniel inspected the chimney and advised me there was no need to clean it and that it was in good shape. He easily could have charged me for a full cleaning and I wouldn't have known the difference but he didn't. He vacuumed the old ash that had been sitting in the fire place and educated me on what I needed to look out for before I needed a cleaning. Could not have been easier! By chance, the same day we contacted Daniel to come out and clean our chimney, he happened to be in our neighborhood, had a space in the day, and our chimney is now clean. While we weren't in a hurry, Daniel is booked out for a few weeks so the timing was absolutely perfect. (It's nice to have something easy these days.) He showed up masked up and was considerate of our carpets (old though they may be) and furniture. He explained his process, why his equipment worked well with old chimneys (ours is over 100 years old), and gave us recommendations on future use and cleanings. We had Daniel come to inspect and clean our fireplace and could not have been more pleased with his service. The ran into traffic on the way here, but called to let us know that he would be late. Daniel is a cool-hard working dude. He cleaned our chimney after +10 years of neglect. We got our money's worth out of him because of how much build there was. Regardless of the "avalanche"(his words) of dirt, Daniel maintained a clean work area with his work equipment: tarp, 2 vacuums and cleaning spray(at the end). I want to note that he was ON TIME during a period of the morning when Hwy 1 gets backed up for miles on a weekday. Just had Daniel's Cleaning Service come out to inspect our fireplace/chimney. He came straight in and got to work. I love that his first concern was to see if our Chimney really NEEDED to be cleaned. It's always a good sign to have someone NOT insist on services that may not be warranted. He did a full inspection and ended up charging us much less because it didn't have to be cleaned. After patiently starting a fire (with the only wood we had which was damp) for us to make sure everything was ok, he gave us a ton of tips on what is good for fireplaces and what's not. Our house is 115 years old with an odd shaped chimney that required a custom made insert. After cleaning it thoroughly Daniel took all of the measurements and had the insert made. When he brought it to the house even though our odd chimney was very hard to fit, he did not flinch but worked until after dark to make sure it was inserted properly and safely, and that the fireplace worked perfectly!
