He confirmed the price was $400. Later that same night, he texted me saying the price was now $600--a 50% increase--even though absolutely nothing about the job or scope of work had changed. Changing a confirmed price from $400 to $600 just hours later, with no change to the work, left me with a very negative impression.

They listened to me, asked questions of me, and answered my questions. Tammy drew out several potential designs, and Kevin brought out different samples of decking materials. Tammy's proposal and design were developed in a way that would allow me to control cost by selecting individual sections to be done if I chose not to do it all. Throughout the entire process they responded to any questions and concerns almost immediately. The result is a masterpiece of beauty and elegance that combines with erosion control to give me a back yard I will enjoy for years to come. While a true work of art, the rock walls are backed up by a solid wall of cinder block that is there to stay. Areas were out of control, we wanted trees planted, areas cleaned out, sod laid, and more. We spoke to several landscapers and received several quotes. One thing that stood out to me was that Elite was the only one who did not say they wanted to spray glyphosate all over. The others were adamant about it. Elite fixed the areas up with the goals we wanted for each space and they look great, no glyphosate needed. The crew worked so hard and they cleaned up after themselves each day. Their planning and execution was phenomenal. I would absolutely recommend Doug and his team for any size job, small medium or large. The crew has caused SIGNIFICANT damage to my brand new privacy fence on multiple sides, they have also damaged my mailbox, cut my water hose in half, and broken my plastic gutter run offs. When bringing this to the service providers attention they sounded very upset and sounded like they wanted to help me. Then I received a call from Jason Cory, the company owner. This was the most unprofessional and unreasonable company owner/representative I have ever come into contact with. When I sent him videos showing the damage caused by his crew he told me that the damage to my fence was not that big of a deal. I gave him a comparison of buying a new car, and paying someone to clean it, only to find-out that person left a huge dent in your car and Jason Cory said that this is different... Lets clarify, I paid for a service on my yard, your team damaged my property in places where there isnt even grass growing. I let him know its completely unacceptable for the damage to be done to my property whenIm paying for a service. Jason Cory told me that because of their equipment there is nothing they can do to avoid doing damage to my property unless I pay him for putting in a buffer to prevent this issue from happening again... THIS IS AFTER THE DAMAGE IS DONE. I told him that it was unacceptable and he should expect legal action if my property was not repaired as it was before. HE THEN SAID "GOOD DO IT" AND CALLED ME CRAZY. Im paying for a service and expect it to be done without damage to my property, apparently Dogwood Landscaping, nor Jason Cory thinks thats acceptable. Jason Cory even went as far to tell me that I do not know what Im talking about, and I could not last an hour on one of his trucks and that I should not care about the quality, since my mother pays for the lawn service which is an annual Christmas present from her. Long story short, they have caused extensive damage to my property around my house, refuse to take blame or replace it, and when I address it I am called crazy by the company owner Jason Cory.

We were able to relocate/preserve a variety of bushes to clear out the space, addressed drainage challenges and created a beautiful new outdoor space, including a 21x25 main area with a 13' circular area attached to one corner for a freestanding fire pit. We combined this project with an unrelated sink hole issue and were able to utilize excavated dirt as partial fill for the hole. They strived to economize where possible, despite some minor unexpected challenges; in the end the +'s and -'s to the estimate were fair and reasonable. After 3 weeks we remain thrilled.
