Crooks! Just found out today they sold me a car that was in an accident. Had work they required the front bumper to be taken off and the front crash bar was smashed in. After being told the car I was interested in was there I drove 45 minutes for the car to not even be on the lot. They then tried to sell me on multiple cars I had no interest in. Purchased a Ford Escape 2013 about 4 months ago. Purchasing the vehicle was a breeze however the inspection was not up to date. I therefore had to go to get an inspection(covered by Danis) This was by the way an inconvenience Today, car was running well then all of a sudden boom my car required me to press my foot on the gas just for it to accelerate. I go to my mechanic and was notified that there is problem with the damn transmission. I purchased the car with 45,000 miles on it I'm now at 48,000 not even 50,000 yet. Although I have a warranty thank god, I'll still be out of a car for about 2 weeks and the warranty does not cover specific parts and labor. I purchased a truck from the Danis owned online dealership, Get-A-Car. The sales portion of the experience was great. BUT....................... this is where it ended. Six months later the registration and title are not in my possession. So many phone calls and texts have been made on my end only to be told that I have to deal with the customer representative. He has tried to help but getting no where. I went to PennDot and found the paperwork from Get-A-Car was incorrectly submitted 2 times. Bought a car from these guys. They have amazing online reviews, which is hard to get for a small car dealer. When test driving, the brakes were noticeably grinding. Service manger said bring it in within 2 weeks to fix it, boasting about how they'd never leave a single mom in a dangerous car with bad brakes. No problem. Took it in, free of charge, and it was "fixed." Fast forward about a week and the brakes are makeing some god awful clanking sound. A metal on metal sounding like the pads are sliding. About a month later, current day, the sound is worse. The brakes seem to have a hard time "gripping" and occasionally don't grab full power. Point in trying to drive home (with good brakes.) If they were so ok with us coming in to fix it free of charge, why couldn't they have FIXED IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. why say you'll do it at all if you're going to slap a bandaid in it probably knowing you didn't do shit. Advice for the person buying a car from danis. The buying expirence was ok. GET A SECOND OPINION. Bring your own mechanic to the car if you feel unsure about something or don't buy it at all. They say they'll fix it, but honestly who knows if it'll be done right. At this point I'd rather pay the $400 for new pads and rotors for the car, do it myself or take it to the dealership so I know my gf and her child are SAFE when hard braking. We live about 45 minutes from danis, so bringing it in again to fix something is hard to schedule. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!......These guys will tell you WHATEVER to get you into the car. Got a car in February of 2022, with only 2,000 miles and STILL had MAJOR issues with Danis. Sent them an email a DAY after having the car(air conditioning wasn't working, no navigation dvd, and no owners manual which was a MAJOR red flag for a car with 2,000 miles on it. I did receive an immediate response with promises to make all of this right which put me at ease because my wife and I love the car. A few weeks go by with no response from Danis...when I finally talk to someone I was directed to the service department (miles away from the lot). Having purchased multiple used cars in my life hearing this sent yet another red flag off. When I spoke to the mechanic for the shop that Danis sent us to they informed me that the air conditioning fix was authorized but they made it a point to tell me the navigation SD card was not going to be replaced!!!...When I contacted Danis about this they said why did I wait so long!!!!...I forwarded the email I sent a day later only to be told the manager I was dealing with no longer works there!...I also only received one key which the cover fell off in a week and ended up paying out of pocket ($86) for a new one. Also Mazda has an app that shows all the work done to the car and it seems like I was sold a car with a salvage title which I will be checking upon completion of these review.... I'd say it's sweetening up ---------------------------- I went here on Sat to do a trade in of a 2007 Nissan Altima for a newer SUV. I called first spoke with Angel and was told bring nothing but the car and a utility bill. I can print out stubs there. Got there and Angel was with someone waited 30 mins and was told to print my stubs with another guy John who was very helpful. Finally got with Angel sat with him 45 mins while waiting for the finance dept. Basically just staring into space. Then he comes in and says come back Tues (Mon was a Holiday) we can get a better rate from a better bank. Said he'd call us Tues. Tuesday came he didn't call we called him and he didn't even know who we were and told us that with the trade in we'd need money down .. This is my second time buying a car from Danis. The first time was the best experience ever so of course I went back. I have even referred several people to them and wrote a good review. This is my second time purchasing a car with them and by far the worst experience ever and ultimately my last time. I bought a car the end of February just before covid hit. The car ran well for a month and then the transmission began to give out. I contacted Danis as soon as they opened back up in May and instead of just switching me into a car that runs properly, I was told to go to their mechanic. Their mechanic then sent me to a dealership which attempted to fix my transmission (CVT's are not fixable). One month later I have the same problem so I call Danis again. After getting bounced around I talked to Mustafa who said to go back to the dealership and if they dont fix it the second time he would take care of me. I complied and a month later I am having the same issues so I called again. This time no one talked to me so I stopped by. I asked for Mustafa who wouldn't even take the time to come and talk to me so I ended up talking with a new manager that said he could trade me out in september. In the meantime I am paying $400 a month for a car that no longer runs. I have been furloughed since March so I no longer have the means to purchase or even trade out at a different dealership. I AM SO ANGRY. Danis Auto is amazing until after the sale, then they dont give a fuck about you. When I went in to buy this car i convinced my sister to also purchase from them, I feel very betrayed and let down. He instantly got up and walked away from his desk to go outside and joke around with the their sales reps claiming he was filming some sort of promotional video for the store. After the sales rep came back to his desk another gentleman walked over to the desk (possibly a manager) with candy, put the candy down, and proceeded to lift his foot on to the desk in front of me to tie his sneaker. Ignored the fact that was super disrespectful as a car customer and just sat there patiently. After all the paper work was filled out, the sales rep kept coming back and forth "trying to get me a deal" and would try to push one car that I repeatedly told him I wasn't interested in. The sales rep was very condescending and rude. I decided to take my business elsewhere and buy a vehicle from a more reputable dealer who's representatives are more trained on customer service and mannerism. My experience at Danis Auto in Philadelphia on Harbison Avenue was awful! To begin I saw their advertisement on Facebook and I trusted them to help my husband with financing a dependable car. We spent hours there waiting for financing and finally signing the contract1 My husband was happy to have transportation to and from work after his car broke down. 2 weeks later the salesman from Danis called my husband and said ( you need to come in to sign something they needed signed), my husband went there after work and the manager told him that the bank changed their minds and he has to give the car back!
