My truck was making a terrible noise and was getting worse…read more I took it into a transmission shop that told me the transmission needed re-built and the cost was $3,800. I contacted On Site and Allen came out, drove my truck and said that the issue wasn't the transmission but the front wheel bearings. He replaced them and solved my issue. $3,800 verses $550. He said he was going to refund me $800 and told me to return the parts myself to Auto Zone. I did and was refunded $587. I asked him to refund me the difference so we can remain civil about this; but Alan only calls back when he wants to.....very poor customer service. To any prospective customer: DO NOT trust his word. He claims to be honest and sincere. He might be until he gets your money. I have a 2013 dodge dart. I had error codes saying to service transmission so I thought "oh no!" this is going to be costly. :( this place had it for days and never looked at it. I towed it there Thursday evening and they had all day Friday. I called them at noon Friday to see if they looked at it yet but he said no and that he might get to it later that day if not then probably Monday. so I was patient and waited til Monday. I get it. They do have other cars to work on too. They are probably busy. I still had not heard from him by monday afternoon so I called him back. his name is mike by the way. he would not give me a straight answer. he just kept saying my transmission was shot and I needed a new one but a new one was going to be like $7000.00! supposedly. and he found a used one with 23000 miles on it with no warranty he could install for me for $3500! used! no warranty! I told him I wanted a warranty because that is too much money to spend and not have something. I did my research and told him I could get a brand new one from dodge for $3800 with a 2 to 3 year warranty and he said they didn't say that when I called! and started getting irritated. I then asked him again what the actual problem was because it may not be the actual transmission.(my car is 5 yrs old with 75,000 miles on it) he tried to change the subject and just kept pushing this used transmission on me saying it needed to be replaced. I wasn't about to spend that kind of money for no guarantees or warranties and without actually knowing whats wrong. so I asked him if he could check the ground wire and see if that was it and he cut me off mid sentence and said" you need to get a wrecker over here and take it to your dealer. let me know when they are on their way and ill push it out to the curb". so I said ok fine ill call someone else. I tried to get him to work with me to save me a tow fee but he clearly didn't want to work with me. he was very rude and unprofessional. I called aamco and they gave me a great deal on a tow and were able to look at it that same day. it turns out it WAS the ground wire. aamco got me all fixed up for a little over $300 and I didn't have to replace my transmission. I would NOT recommend B & D Automotive to anyone!

He is honest, hard-working and more than reasonable on prices. In fact, I would say that he doesn't charge enough-- but then again, I'm glad he does not LOL He is very knowledgeable. In my experience, The few times that he hasn't been able to do something, he has hooked me up with people who are top notch like him. So he does know his limits, which often is hard to find in a mechanic. I'd say that SAR is just a good old mechanic shop for regular folks. So you're not gonna see any gimmicks like coconut water or jazz music when you come in. But if you want simple, well done repair work that you can put your faith in , I highly recommend Sapulpa Auto Repair. Arthur has helped me many times and probably save you thousands of dollars over the 10 years I've been using him.
