Most definitely would recommend this auto shop to anybody who wants good honest work. I have been there now numerous times There are times when I know I would've been overcharged, or had work done that was not needed at other places. Danny's does not do that I have brought my car in to have it looked at and Scott would say that there's nothing wrong and that there's no charge for looking. I have been to this shop before and they helped me install a part despite it being not a part they ordered and only charged me the labor time. This time I needed a more subsequent job done for a problem and they were able to accommodate me and get it done within the day so I would not have to be without a vehicle or leave it overnight or wait till the next day. They were fair in their pricing for the parts and labor. I think though as an aside, they should really consider installing a mini-split air conditioner in their waiting area for the customers as the summers will forever be hotter and their current system won't be able to handle then temps (I noted their thermostat was set at 76 and the temp reading remained at 81 the whole time in this humid environment)(I mean, mini splits are so affordable now it's not that costly) read more

Reviews don't lie. Scott and Janet (Owners of Danny's) are THE BEST! They don't perform the custom exhaust work on my Corvette that I wanted, but referred me to another shop. THAT doesn't happen often, but it turned out to be a fantastic referral! On another occasion, they were all booked up, but were able to work me into their busy schedule on a Friday, so my daughter wouldn't be without her minivan all weekend with 3 boys and sports. Took my car in for an oil change in January - absolutely nothing wrong besides needing an oil change and asked to rotate my tires. When I got the car back, a warning light came on for low tire pressure. All 4 tires were low. I called and asked why they wouldn't check something like that and was told that it was due to the drop in temp. Um, no. I've had my car for over a year with the highs and lows and my tire pressure was always fine. Within a week, my car started to smoke from under the hood. I realized that none of the fluids had been topped off and brought it back in. All of a sudden I had leaks in my thermostat and oil gasket. Repairs would be over $900. I took it somewhere else. The new place told me they needed to not only fix everything but also needed to do an oil change since the oil was so black. It was obviously not changed at Danny's. I found out about Danny's Complete Auto Repair from my next door neighbor in Land O Lakes who raved about the shop and its owners, Scott and Janet, after I told him I had to find a reliable, honest mechanic. He said he wouldn't take either of his cars anywhere else, no matter how minor the job, even though Danny's, located in Safety Harbor, is about 20 miles from us. He assured me it would be well worth the drive so I made an appointment to have some work done on our 2006 Infiniti FX35 SUV. I am SO glad I got this recommendation! Scott and Janet are great people, the garage and waiting area is super clean and comfortable and they did terrific work at an extraordinarily reasonable price (which included new parts for an older model Infiniti that they ordered for me). As I told my neighbor when I thanked him for the recommendation, "how often have you gone to a mechanic and felt like they didn't charge you enough!" Well, that is Scott and Janet. We have a wheelchair accessible van and it is crucial to have it operational and safe, not that all cars shouldn't be, but this is the only vehicle our son can ride in. I went to this business based on the recommendations from this neighborhood. I had an incident and had the car towed to this mechanic. The mechanic who is the owner (Scott) contacted me with the estimate. A day later, he spoke about getting a cheaper tire and several of the other repairs that needed to be made. He quoted $454.00 and when I repeated $454.00 he agreed. I asked him about the wiperblades and the headlight and that amount did not include the headlight bulb and the wiper blades because that was the last thing I asked him. Two days later, I was asked to pay $655.00 by the front clerk (who is also his wife). I told her that that is not what I was quoted. She stated that she was next to him when he was speaking to me over the phone. (This is basically calling me a liar and a challenge to what I heard). She pulled up the paper which I saw the figure $454.00 written on it and indicated to her that when I asked him $454.00 he should have made it clear that "it did not include the tire." At this point, there was really nothing for me to accept the bill and her indication to me by pointing out that she would take off the wiper blades and bulb and this was "only as a courtesy." Scott and Janet and their team are the most honest folks I've met. Scott has always been upfront with us and charges fairly. He doesn't do work that doesn't need to be done. I took my car to Danny's back in 2007 for a second opinion. They couldn't find a problem with any of the parts the VW dealership said needed repairs in excess of $2K. I saved a lot of money that day.
