The roast beef poboy was ginormous and filled with a mountain of tender roast beef and gravy the gravy was a little starchy as was the shrimp stew almost like they use a jar or powdered gravy instead of a homemade roux starter which was a little disappointing I would think everything would be homemade in this little hometown restaurant- nothing bad here by any means but just a little effort would be a game changer in my opinion. She is always so charming, considerate, gracious and courteous. She always aims to please her customers and carries her smile and that sparkle all day long. She's quick and efficient. I had the pleasure of speaking to one of the owners today and telling him how lucky the company is to have this young woman as an employee. He agreed and said he had just gotten a compliment on her that same day. He stated that he wished he had 5 Brittany's. She is definitely an asset to their company.

Walk down a step over to the back of the restaurant where the food is served cafeteria style. You can get it in a to-go container (highly recommend) or on a platter. We all chose the to-go container because he piled on the so good food!! Smothered ribs, white rice, collard greens, stuffed turkey, shrimp stew, corn, etc. The menu changes depending on the day of the week; we were there on a Thursday. Consensus amongst our group was that ALL food items were delicious. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful, quick to answer all of our many questions. Got home and realized they gave us fries instead of onion rings. A little disappointing, but thankfully the food itself made up for it. The shrimp and fish were both fried just right -- crispy, not greasy, and full of flavor. The homemade tartar sauce was the real standout. You can tell it's made in-house, and it paired great with everything. All in all, the food was solid even with the mix-up. We'll definitely be back, just maybe a little earlier next time.
