I called Dales bc they have been in business quite a while in my area. I needed my microwave fixed…read more& my oven door fixed the hinge was broke. I called set up the appointment . The repair man comes looks at the microwave & fixes the hinge on the oven. He had to come back after parts came in for the microwave fine. I received the bill for that days service they charged me 2 service charges 1 for each appliance. I thought that was ridiculous the whole bill for the day was $245. Dales calls me back with a price on what it's going to cost to repair the microwave & a minor fix for oven door is glass. It was going to another $425. I think. I say ok. Then my daughter shows me my same microwave at Lowe's for $$230. So I went & purchased a new microwave & my brother installed same place. Total charges to fix everything would have been around $770. When it cost me $480. They were upset about it. My problem was the 2 service charges & why not tell me it's cheaper to buy a new microwave? I would have remained a loyal customer forever if he said that. The other thing I find weird is the reviews are all 5 stars! That's fishy to me like they don't want to show any other ratings or reviews.

As I was explaining what was going on with it and provide the serial and model numbers, he suggested I tried something first before they sent someone out to look at it. He could have come and looked at it and charged me a service fee, but he didn't. By the way, what he told me to do worked! I will continue to recommend their services.

Well I wish that Yelp didn't require me to give a star when one isn't due. I placed a call for…read moreservice on a Monday that went unanswered so I called again on Tuesday. The message advises you to text so I did that after another half day passed with no return call. Bill called and seemed friendly enough and told me that he would be out the next day, Wednesday. I had a 9-1 window for service. I texted Bill at 1 to co firm that I didn't misunderstand the schedule since I hadn't heard from him and took a day off of work. No return call. I called and texted again on Thursday to give the benefit of the doubt before I called Lowes to file a complaint against this shoddy vendor they subcontract warranty repairs to. The previous reviews are on point. I would highly suggest you not patronize a business that cant handle basic telephone calls to customers.

Where is the zero star for a review ? My wife and I received…read morethis recommendation from Lowes as a contractor that works on their warranty work. The gentleman on the voicemail states that it is easier to text him rather than call as he may not hear the phone ring or may be busy. Ok cool ! My wife contacted this man via text and he asked if they could speak over the phone instead. It was agreed that he would come to our residence and look at our washing machine (The following morning) that was full of water and stopped spinning/draining, leaving stagnant water at the bottom of the agitator. My daughter took off work to show him where the washer is located, but the dude was a no call no show, and my kid lost a day's wages trying to cover for mom and dad while we were at work. My wife texted him earlier that morning to confirm that he was coming but he never returned the texts (Plural). How good sir are you still in business with all of these horrible reviews all leading to the same conclusion? It's called common courtesy and professionalism to respond to paying customers. Lowes has been contacted and advised to take you off of their recommended contractor list, as you have "Given them a black eye in regards to customer service or satisfaction." And that is their words. -Cmon mann, !!!

I understand that Mr. Applicance is a franchise and that each location is not the same - you need…read moreto know this fact, first! I've seen some horrible reviews on Yelp concerning "Mr. Appliance" and they do NOT reflect the Mr. Applicance of Sewell, not one bit! From the moment I made my initial phone call I felt confident in my choice of repairmen. The operator understood my situation which was a floral refrigerator had stopped 'refrigerating', and understood I had an immediate need of diagnosis and repair. The gentleman "Scott" that arrived the next day assessed the situation, and with the assistance of a co-worker "Ryan", they installed a "quick fix" to get me through the next few days, while a new compressor was ordered. The following week the compressor arrived to their location and Scott returned the next day to install the new compressor. Keep in mind, during the entire visit, Scott (and Ryan) were very kind to explain to me what was going on and how they were approaching the situation. I felt that I was in "good hands" the entire time. Once the new compressor was installed and checked for leaks, even adding coolant to the system, I was back up and running without any further delays. It was far better to replace a $3K compressor than an $8K refrigerator, and with the added cost of the service-call and labors, it was honestly "money well-spent!" If you're looking for "cheap", you will get "cheap": cheap-service, cheap parts, cheap people, cheap workmanship. If you want something done right, do it right the first time, and honestly and sincerely you can trust Mr. Appliance of Sewell to do just that, doing it right the first time without "being taken to the cleaners." You know you need someone you can trust. I know you can trust these folks. Feel free to contact me directly for any questions relating to my experiences. I have these people saved/bookmarked all over (my phone, my computer) in case my other cooler decides to go on a permanent vacation during a very busy time of year.
