Truly baffled by my experience today. I've been to this location a few times, even brought my friends car in too. But after today I certainly won't be back. First and foremost everyone in store was fine - no issues and I wasn't upset with the situation. The car needed an oil change and I forgot to bring in the mailer stating their oil change special of 39.95. I told the lady at the counter but she wouldn't honor it because I didn't bring it in. Okay- annoying but whatever right? WRONG. They drained the oil but then couldn't get the filter out. I know this can be a common issue but to quote me nearly $400 PLUS the $80 oil change seemed insane. I called the last place that did the oil change and they completely took care of it/me. Now I paid the $80 thanked them and left. But I found the mailer and read every single word - nowhere does it state it needed to be brought in for redemption, it actually doesn't even say it's a coupon it says "oil change special" So I called the manager Blake, he was immediately rude, condescending and disrespectful. When I mentioned the tech drained the oil before taking out the filter he instantly remarked how "That's the ONLY way to do an oil change." (Truly, almost any mechanic can give you a different answer on what's right or wrong but that's neither here nor there). It was the immediate rudeness and talking down to me that really took me by surprise. I told the manager all I was asking was a partial refund since I had the ad and it doesn't say it needs to be brought in. He essentially told me too bad and again "EVERY store requires the coupons in person." He then offered that the coupon doesn't expire so I can bring it in next time. I told Blake frankly I don't know that I'll come back if this is how they treat customers. After a few minutes of back and forth regarding the coupon Blake told me I can bring the mailer in, he will write me a check for the difference, and to never come back to his shop again. P.S I called Amerifix of Franklin - I said I totally forgot my mailer at home can you still honor the coupon, they told me yes. I also asked if they usually drain the oil first or remove the filter, he said they remove the filter first. What a terrible way to do business and a terrible way to treat customers. Had my brakes done over a years ago with Dan's rotors and pads . My wife drove the Car a few times a week . Rotors warp they said it only had a 12 month warranty on it we were over 7 months over . But they wanted to charge full price and if it wasn't it was a few hundred more then any other shop around Whitehouse. I don't know what happened to them. But I'm not going there again. read more

You serviced my malibu on May 9th. I was on the road in Tennessee and the car over heated so I had it towed to your shop. After running a test you said it indicated the thermostat needed replacement. I got about 100 miles away driving back to Ohio and it over heated again. I let it cool down and added more antifreeze then found another repair shop off I-75. They found within minutes the water pump was leaking. They replaced it and I have no problem after driving home (about 350 miles) Your price of about $450 was about the same as theirs except they fixed the car. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR REPAIR SERVICE! Took care of fixing my 2012, Toyota, Tacoma that had a front-end problem. Truck was inspected and we were informed of the repaired need. After we made the decision to have the repairs complete at Dan's, they finished them in a very readable time and then checked in with us to see how the truck was performing after they had fixed it. I was six hours from home and broke down just a few miles away from Dans shop it was almost 4 PM when I was able to get a hold of Dan and despite him only being open one more hour and short staffed he was able to help get me back on the road and make a repair to my vehicle so that I could get home for the evening if I could send everybody that I know to Dan for their auto repair absolutely would but I don't know how many people I'd send from Indiana down to Tennessee for it read more

Dan's has worked thru the proverbial ghost issue on my son's truck and thru diligence and persistence they have got us confident they have conquered the problem. Throughout the time they wouldn't accept payment until they were able to have a valid reason to make the repairs and I felt as though we came out paying a very fair amount for the time in effort they put into the repair. Dan's Auto Repair has terrible customer service and lacks common courtesy. He doesn't seem to need new business. I called to see if they were open at about 12:30 on a Saturday and was told they were all on lunch and someone would call me back. No one called back so I decided to just go by there after about an hour and a half. I came in needing a valve stem replaced and he seemed bothered I even stopped by. He apparently didn't have time and wasn't sure he even would. Don't worry...I won't bother wasting MY time. There are plenty of willing shops around town who do care about better business practices. It has been years since we took our car to this place but nevertheless, this is our account. Our car was overheating so we took it to Dan's to have a new water pump installed. We chose this location based on a friends recommendation and the fact that it was the closest to drive to. They were very slow with the repair they kept the car for days while we had to drive a rental car on our own dime. After finally getting the car back the first time they didn't check the timing chain tensioner like they said they were going to do and the engine actually slipped time and I had to take it back again and have them keep it for days. When I was able to finally go pick the car up I expressed my concern on the price and the whole process and any possible damage to the timing, Dan and his wife were very defensive and proceeded to tell me how I've gotten such a great deal on everything they've done and they have provided me such a great service. Needless to say after about $3-$4000 the car started overheating about a month later. I have my doubts whether or not any work was done at all. We took it to another place in Nashville they told us that it needed a new water pump and that if a new water pump was actually installed, it shouldn't have went bad that quickly. They also left two bolts loose on the alternator and I found that the hot post wire vibrated down and it rubbed a hole in it and shorted out some of the electrical system. You don't always get what you pay for. I wouldn't let this place change my wiper blades. read more
