Did a great job and didn't take long. Quoted us a lower price than others too. Would use them again.

Receptionist / desk person was friendly and hospitable but not able to understand what "blast and etch-prime" meant...because this is a repair center, not a real body shop. No worries. I just wish someone had noted this in comments before I drove all the way out there...

There was one area that they seemed to have done a sloppy casting job on and I pointed it out. They took it back and "fixed" it while I waited. A few minutes later they returned the car to me (it still looked sloppy) and wished me a good day, not bothering to ask if it looked better or if I was happy with the results. I left thinking I could live with it but returned it two weeks later so they could fix it. It's a new car so I wanted it as close to new condition as possible. They took it and gave me a ride to my home, promising me that they would come pick me up later that day to get it. Later I got a call saying that they could not pick me up and my options were to find a ride or leave it until the next day. THIS WAS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE. I ended up leaving it since I could not find a ride to Harrisonburg. They also TOLD me, not ASKED me that they were going to drive my car to me the next day. I am uncomfortable about strangers using my stuff, so I was not okay with it. Their assertiveness was certainly a turn off. I could tell they just wanted to be done with dealing with me. Once I got my car, it looked better but it still looked like a band-aid solution. I'm not impressed for being the highest rated body shop in Harrisonburg.

TLDR: owner of this business is a piece of work.... I hit a…read moredeer, h.c.c. replaced the bumper, fender, headlight on my vehicle. The receptionist were nice and effective communicators for the most part, the bodywork looked good. The 3 stage paint pearlescent looks good, and the old headlight looks as good as the new headlight which is where the GOOD category ends. I dropped them the vehicle 2-28-25 and I spoke with some employees about the parts selection and being a canbus system car, to pay close attention to the headlights etc. About "adapting" them aka programming them to the car after the repair if they didn't work right out of the gate even though it was my understanding they were using my old sensors/modules for the lights/bumper. They seemed to understand the mention. I get a call from the receptionist some days later stating "we have to "TAKE" your car to the dealership to have it programmed," which fair enough. Fast forward to 3-12-25 within 3 minutes of getting the car back, I noticed the headlight doesn't work, and that the car had over 50 miles put on it. I asked them why etc etc. And they said they had to have the owner (joe) drive it, which i was wildly uncomfortable with because the car was not stock by any means, and the new forged engine was still in break in, and only takes e85 fuel (i didnt leave registration or insurance in the car or anything because i anticipated it would not leave the parking lot). They tried their best to reassure me that they would never do anything to harm the car (no $h!t youre gonna tell me that, duh) i was already p!ssed about the attention to detail at that point after wasting my time. H.c.c. takes the keys back and is supposed to do what they shoulda the first time. Since I knew they weren't gonna flat bed it there the second time, I made my peace with it and let them know if they get low on fuel, ONLY to put E85 (flexfuel) in it which is usually the yellow handled nozzle at the pump, and told em gas stations they should find it. Fast forward again to 3-31-25 after much wasted effort on their part to find e85, which spiraled into its own problems between them and I about where to find it (they never did). I had to get my own gas can and go get e85 from one of the gas stations they insisted they checked at and drive the gas down there myself when I picked up the car as a result. Attention to detail at every turn other than the physical repair was non-existant....... When I spoke with the owner constructively about my concerns, especially around the transparency about transport (take vs. Drive) and explained the gravity of why I didn't want anyone to drive the car with the time and money I have in it for fear the temptation to beat on it, which would be hard to prove that it happened because of them (over a hundred miles driven at that). The owner, joe, got $h!tty with me and tried to make me feel bad about "the sacrifices he had to make" where i told him he wouldn't have had any of those problems had he actually checked the headlight the first time before calling me. bonus points had it been BEFORE he left the dealership... He completely missed the point. As a result of of his "professionalism" alone, i am now an active advocate against this place, despite the job his employees did. Note the photo, I STILL am getting faults for the headlight, so great job again Joe, you knocked it out of the park! My insurance is gonna hear about this one too.

I respect accidents happen. I do not respect being lied to about what is going on. own up to your mistakes from the beginning.
