Dans LM Center is great in particular Jim. He knows everything about lawn care and equipment. I bought an Accelerator grass catcher from them. The grass catcher was not made for my ZT mower (we knew this before the purchase) so I though I could probably fab something up to make it fit. Jim let me come back in the store and take all the measurements I needed on the catcher and the Exmark that it was designed for. We both talked about ideas on how to do it. The next day I built a plate for my mower and took it back to Dan's to see if it fit. It did but Jim had said the metal that I welded on may be too thin to hold the catchers weight. I though it was fine because I was able to lift the catcher with it. I purchased the catcher went home and used it and it worked flawlessly, except the metal that was holding the catcher started to bend once the catcher was full of grass. Then it hit me, Jim wasn't talking about the empty weight he knew the weight that mattered is the weight of when the catcher is full. So I did exactly what he said and got a thicker metal to hold the catcher and account for all the weight. Thank you Jim for all your help. read more

I've been coming here off and on since I was kid. Always been a go-to place for yard equipment. Too bad the customer service has went down hill. Today I came in to buy some new Corona pruners. Lady at the counter looked up then away and carried on. Not even a "I'll be with you in a minute" or some type of acknowledgment. No hard feelings, I'll just go to Home Depot. read more

I took my McLane push lawn mower for sharpening two weeks ago for the first time at this shop. For the last 10+ years that I have owned the mower I have taken it to the McLane factory in Los Angeles to have it sharpened on a yearly basis. A week later my mower was ready. When I got it home I couldn't wait to try it with a little apprehension being the first time I had used this shop. I was amazed at how easy the mower cut the grass, it was like I was given a new machine. In all the time that I took the mower for service to the factory never did it mow as great as now. I am extremely satisfied and although more expensive than the factory it's well worth the price for the quality and it saves me the pain, time and expense of driving into the LA area. read more

A friend recommended Dan's Lawnmower Center when he found I was looking for a specific model lawn mower. I had just called another shop, and they were idiots. When I arrived they were fairly busy. Since I had to wait, I watched how they did business. There were a couple people running around helping customers, and a couple ladies working on the computers. When the others came to the ladies with questions, they belted out answers without hesitation. I really like doing business with people who have mastered their duties. It didn't take long until they got to me. I told them the mower I wanted, and they took extra care to ensure I got the exact model I wanted. They said they'd have it this week. That was Tuesday. Today is Thursday, and my fancy pants new mower is sitting in my garage! Home Depot said it would take 10 days to get here. When I picked it up, they walked me through the mower's operation and maintenance. Now, I've rebuilt small engines, and I've been using and maintaining mowers a little longer than forever. Even so, I learned a couple things, and of course I learned about some of the cool features of this particular mower. Even though they don't sell many of these, they knew it inside and out. They even helped me load it. I just ordered another $500 of stuff from them. This is my go-to lawnmower joint. Highly Recommend! read more

O.K., here's the scoop: I had a Craftsman weedwacker for two reasons 1. It was easy to load the line trim; they came U-shaped in a package of twelve or so, and all you had to do was insert each leg of the U in a corresponding hole in the weedwacker head, the leg came out another hole, and you were done. Finished. 2. Sears had its own repair centers, and I could take my weedwacker there for professional repair if things went "Kaput." PROBLEM: Sears closed ALL of its repair centers, and it was a bloody hassle finding an independent lawnmower shop willing & able to work on a Craftsman product. Same exact problem I had with an Ryobi weedwacker I got from Home Depot--nobody wanted to work on it. SOLUTION: Dan's Lawnmower center. I got a Honda weedwacker from Dan's. They showed me how to load the line feed & told me "If you ever have a problem, come back & we'll take care of." They have done that; they are truly true to their word. Dan's in-house mechanics services what it sells, and if you have trouble figuring out how things work Dan's will help you out--no problem. That is really important; if you buy a weedwacker from Sears, Home Depot, or Lowe's, and something goes wrong--good luck on finding somebody from there who'll work on it, or even help you figure something out. The two ladies at the counter were awesome best customer service I have ever had at the Counter of Amy establishment highly recommend !!

Bad service my lawnmorrow just needed a tuneup took over four weeks kept blaming everybody else but never took responsible for not having it done. read more
