Went in to find the perfect engagement ring. They didnt have exactly what i wanted so offered to bring in some loose stones to mt specifications for me to look at. Went in there today to get some jewlery repaired, look at diamond rings for my wife and have a few things appraised. The salesperson that greeted us was one of the most honest and customer service oriented salespeople I have ever met. He never once made me feel like I was getting even remotely hosed. I knew what was going on with my stuff, but I don't have the tools anymore to repair my own jewelery, so I have to trust someone. I went in to get my watch sized. The gentleman knew how many links right away and it was done quickly. Super nice.

I am an attorney and I needed to get a cross and chain fixed so I went to Danz. Danz Jewelers just made another loyal customer. I walked in a little after 5:00p (they close at 5:30 except Thu and Sat). I showed the gentlemen at the register my inexpensive silver baptismal cross which had been pulled from the chain accidentally and the attaching loop of silver had gotten lost. He said "let me see if I have something," took my cross and chain to the rear work area for about 5 minutes and then returned with it repaired. He stretched out his hand to shake mine and indicated that there would be no charge. The loop that they replaced it with looks much more heavy duty than the original and it works great back around my neck where it belongs! I would have gladly paid a reasonable charge for the work and the part. So, I did a double take at the "no charge" sign he gave me so I reached for my wallet but he waved me off again. I smiled, thanking him profusely, and left the store amazed and happy, promising myself to put in this yelp review. My fiance had recently told me about Danz Jewelers when she took my year old Pulsar in to get the battery replaced after the original seller, JC Penney jewelry, sent me on a wild goose chase between Lodi and Stockton before letting me know they couldn't fix it because they were out of Pulsar watch batteries. There's a reason Danz is popular in this town. They've got good old fashion customer service and they don't squeeze every nickle out of their clients. I highly recommend them and plan on doing all of my jewelry business with them in the future. read more

Went in a few weeks ago with a few pieces of jewelry. Two rings, a necklace that wasn't worth much but has sentimental value and a bracelet. The bracelet was my biggest concern fearing yet knowing it wouldn't be able to be salvaged. Walked in and was greeted right away with a smile, mind you I showed up 25 min before closing. I laid out and explained my concerns for each piece. Before I could ask another question he took my rings and necklace to the back and as he walked to the back he said he'd be right back. Came back to me in about 8 minutes with everything (but the bracelet) fixed. Shocked and super ecstatic about getting everything fixed in what felt like a blink of an eye. Bummed I couldn't get the bracelet fixed but I knew it would be nearly impossible to fix it so I was ok with it and was happy he was honest with me by letting me know I'd end up spending $1000 if not more on it. Wow just left Danz and I just have to say what a great place! I had a major snag spot on my wedding ring and I was afraid I was gonna end up losing a diamond. As I asked him about tennis bracelets he said he would have to make it but could tell I could not afford it. I've never been so insulted. Dan and Carol are amazing. My parents have been going to them for years for jewelry, cleaning, repairs, etc... And now that I'm getting married, I'll be sure to take my business to them. Dan does great custom work of high quality. A few years ago, my mother took in my grandfather's wedding band to reuse the stones in a new piece for my father. Dan custom designed the perfect setting to fit around the unique stone. Very masculine, architectural, definitely dad's style. I recently took in my grandmother's wedding band (which I plan to use as my own). They did an amazing job refinishing, resizing, and replacing the missing stones. The ring was so sparkly when I received it I barely recognized it! We're currently in the process of designing a matching wedding band for my fiance.
