Less than a month after getting my truck back, it lost all its coolant and completely broke down. 2 1/2 Months later and I STILL do not have my truck! What followed was weeks of frustration, changing explanations, missed completion dates, and conflicting promises about a loaner vehicle. I was initially told that the engine had severely overheated, but the shop later said a split radiator caused the failure. I was also told that warranty work and a loaner would not continue while my credit-card dispute remained open. I repeatedly authorized the repairs needed to make my truck operational, yet the situation continued to drag on. I live outside of town, care for my elderly brother, and had important medical appointments. Being left without transportation for weeks caused tremendous hardship, stress, and inconvenience. I expected the company to stand behind its work, communicate honestly, and resolve the problem promptly. Instead, this became an exhausting and deeply disappointing ordeal. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I took it to another transmission shop that has been rebuilding transmissions for close to 50 years, and I have documentation that states these guy's did nothing.... NOTHING.... I was told everything else (fluids, brakes, front tires, etc) looked good. They ordered my tires and I waited for 5 hours for a call that the car was ready. When I received the call, I was told the tires never made it on the truck. They knew I had no more time to wait so I asked them to put my tires as they were and I would have to buy elsewhere. They told me it was urgent so I didn't delay. When I went to my other tire place to replace the bald tires, I was told the lug nuts were stripped and they couldn't remove 2 of my tires. I immediately called Hindsman & Son and was rudely dealt with by Steve. He accused me of never being there because I wasn't given an invoice. He said they had no record of me being there because I didn't pay anything. Again, I didn't purchase invisible tires that never showed up so no, I didn't pay anything. Then he argued that they never touched my tires even though they inspected the brakes and everything for safety? Bottom line is they messed up two of my tires and didn't have the decency or integrity to own up to it. They sent me on my way with stripped lug nuts and bald tires. This was a horrible experience from start to finish. They even lied about not having my number. They finally fixed the issue, I hope as I'm not a mechanic, but then they again sent me on my way with a bald tire. They never even put the new one on. They treated me like I had done something wrong when I returned the car for them to fix their mistakes. I have alerted my family as well so no one takes a chance at this place. They especially pray on single women and treat them like they are stupid. I will also be in touch with the better business bureau. Proceed with caution people!
