From start to finish, I had such an excellent experience with Dare and Dazzle. * It was the only place that I could find within a few hours drive of me in northern NV that rents dresses and will let you try on that exact dress in-salon. The rental prices are so great, but I feel even the purchase prices are reasonable! I love supporting this woman-owned small business! * Their inventory is online, so I could prepare ahead of time to know what my favorites are and request them to be in-salon ahead of time. Spoiler alert: the dress that was my favorite online ended up being THE ONE! * They had plus-sized (or maybe mid-sized) inventory. It seems that they try to carry all sizes up to 20 for most, if not all, of their dresses. I ended up being a size 20 (I'm an XL or size 14 in regular clothes), so I topped out the size range. I do wish it could be a bit more size-inclusive there. I had gained a little weight after my fitting and before my wedding and had a lot of anxiety about me potentially not being able to fit in it, and there being no larger size. (It ended up fitting, thank you corset!). * I made an appointment online, instead of being forced to call on the phone, which I greatly appreciate as an autistic introvert! On that note too, all communication after my dress purchase in-salon was done via email. I sense the owner may be an introvert too haha! * They really treated my guests (in-person and Facetime!) and me like we were the only ones that mattered and let us try on anything that was picked. The owner, I believe her name is Hien, took her time and walked me through trying on different dress types, to get an idea of the shape I wanted. She left my favorite dress for last, the one I ended up picking! * There is a very sweet and talented hair and makeup artist Alexa that showed up for my appointment who gave me a free consult, even though my wedding was out of state and I wasn't going to be able to use her. I now follow her on social media! Seeing myself in THE DRESS with a quick but beautiful hair and makeup look gave me the whole picture, and made me more confident that I was picking the right dress. * Hien offers tailoring a bustle on and height tailoring based on your heel height, for a very reasonable additional cost. * The shipping to me was perfect, it arrived a few days ahead of when we needed it. The box even had a handle to make carrying it around the venue much easier! * I did have it steamed by professionals a few days before the wedding, and I'd say that's necessary as it does come with a few creases, naturally. * The box it came in had a prepaid shipping label inside, so all I had to do the day after the wedding was put it back inside the box it came in, tape it up, and put it in the mail! The people who steamed it ended up not returning the box, so while they were frantically trying to find it, I emailed Hien that there was a possibility I needed their address to mail it myself, and she responded next day with a new prepaid label. So nice! (The professionals found the original box though). It ended up getting delivered back to them in a week, through the holiday shipping mess. * Most importantly, I got SOOOOO many compliments on the dress, not only from my guests, but also from tens and tens and tens of people that we walked by on our wedding day photo shoot. I felt the most gorgeous I've ever felt in my life, like a glamorous old-school Hollywood movie star, and the dress (Malala) played the biggest role in that. I have had my eyes on this shop for a while now, and it exceeded my expectations far more than I could have ever imagined! The shop is beautiful and perfectly sized for a private bridal party. I was in awe as soon as I walked in. Its design is well thought out and thoughtfully put together. The ceiling is high, and it feels magical to walk into. Hien is amazing to work with. I felt beautiful in all of her amazing gowns. She listened to what I wanted and was able to pull the dress that ended up being my Yes to the dress! The gowns are made to be rented and have built in bras and corsets that allow the perfect fit for people of all sizes. It was nice to be able to find my dress and know how I would look and feel in it without having to think of alterations. I was able to have a private appointment with 7 of my bridesmaids/family. We brought our own champagne and spent a little over two hours trying on dresses. It was a really fun experience for everyone. A few of my bridesmaids were able to try on some bridesmaids dresses as well. Dare and Dazzle offers a sustainable and affordable wedding gown option. They are a small Asian owned business with a lot to offer to the wedding industry. The gowns are incredibly well made. They are the quality of a $2k+ gown at a fraction of the cost. I can't rave about them enough and I hope more brides can find this shop to rent (or buy) the dress of their dreams! read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Hugely disappointed in their customer service. I made an appt for my daughter to try on wedding dresses. We had an appt at another store the day before and she was lucky enough to find her dream dress at the first store. I called Dare and Dazzle and left a message to cancel our appt for the next day. I also canceled it online. I had to pay $30 to hold the appt. Their timeframe to cancel is 24 hrs. I called as soon as my daughter said yes to the dress. I was 2 hours over. They charged me anyway for a "no show" appt. Such bad business practice. I'd understand if it was the day of the appt, but not the day before. Never going there or suggesting my friends go there. read more

I would recommend this shop to every bride there is! My husband and I eloped in December and had a very tight schedule for getting a dress and any necessary alterations. I managed to get into a cancellation spot and was able to pick my dream dress with the owners help. She was very kind and patient with my son being present in the stroller. Her greatest kindness she did me was never actually telling me what size my dress was. I was still pretty freshly postpartum and seeing myself in that mirror to try my dress on was my first real view of my postpartum body and I felt insecure. But the owner immediately made me feel better by helping me envision my wedding day and how beautiful I'd look. She was also an absolute rockstar who got the alterations done quickly and well! I absolutely love this place. Hein, the owner, is so kind and supportive. I went to try on plus-size dresses during the off season and with a shorter time window than most brides. I still had a large selection to choose from and she put a lot of care and consideration into my appointment. In total, I went there two times to try dresses on before finding my perfect fit - off the rack! In total I think I tried on about 7 dresses in my bridal size 20 (16-18 regular). The third time I visited was to pick up my dress for the big day as well as a veil, and did one final look with the dress on in the store to ensure everything looked good and fit well before my big day. Here is why you should go here for your wedding: 1. Very communicative staff. Any question, comment, concern was answered promptly and thoroughly. 2. Local business that carry cute, affordable, and size-inclusive dresses! 3. Sustainable business practices good for both budget-friendly brides and eco-conscious ones. 4. The set up of the fitting area. Hein will help you into your dress on the podium in the dressing area, and there are thick blackout curtains that surround the dressing area. It is not a separate room, meaning once you're laced into your dress, you just pull back the curtain! This means you can continue the conversation with the loved ones you brought with you to your appointment, and it's not as lonely getting into your dress and walking to the viewing area. 5. Along the above lines, since they carry a variety of sizes, each dress you try on is completely zipped/laced/on your body to give you a much better idea of what the finished product looks like. This helped me feel confident in the dress I was choosing as the back was laced up instead of left open like in other bridal shops where you have to try on dresses that aren't quite large enough. 6. Customization! As I tried on a beautiful corset-back sleeveless dress, Hein showed me the options I had if I wanted to accessorize and personalize the dress (which I ended up choosing!) She sewed in small snap closures where I could easily put on or take off the decorative sleeves of my wedding gown for ultimate customization All in all, I would rate this higher if I could go above five stars. My experience with the fashion industry is tumultuous at best as a plus size bride. Hein at Dare & Dazzle made me feel welcome and loved, and most importantly like I belonged and deserved a beautiful gown that fit well and made me feel good about myself. Hien was fantastic! She went above and beyond to ensure that I was absolutely happy with my dress. From start to finish she made the experience easy and enjoyable. The studio is so adorable, and the private appointment makes you feel special and pampered, as any bride should for their wedding. The dress I chose needed a lot of alteration to be sure that it fit me perfectly because I chose one that was a couple sizes too big for me. She was able to have an entirely new dress of the same style made to fit my figure and height perfectly. A few days before the wedding I discovered an emergency alteration that was needed as I had lost a little more weight and Hien accommodated my schedule to perform the fix on the spot. She truly does everything she can to leave you feeling beautiful and confident in your dress! Hien and Erin are the best! I have dreamt of my wedding since I was young and the dress I envisioned is the dress I got! Hien helped me and was so kind and patient. They store your dress for you and it can include alterations and will make suggestions for your dress type. Hien went on maternity leave and Erin is helping with fittings and consulting and her communication is wonderful! What a wonderful experience! Hien was so prepared and accommodating, even moving around furniture so that my friends could gather around and be comfortable. I found my perfect wedding dress with Hien in Dare and Dazzle! When I came into the store, I wasn't sure what styles she had for me and I was really pleasantly surprised that she had a variety of styles (fit and flare, A line, and ball gowns) and even the one I wanted. I let her know what kind of style of clothing I liked and she picked out a few dresses for me to try on. I ultimately fell in love with 'Pearl' because she's got that je ne sais quoi about her. She's romantic, elegant, modern, and made me feel beautiful! She's also sooo comfortable because she's satin and fit me like a glove. Finally, I was able to rent Pearl instead of buying her and I was very happy about this! I am honored to have been able to celebrate both my Vietnamese and American Heritage. Hien was able to help make it possible to get both an Ao Dai and the American wedding dress at the same place! I am incredibly appreciative of Dare and Dazzle. My goal this year was to not add waste to the world by keeping a dress that may or may not be worn again. Hien helped find the perfect dress for my wedding as well as for my bridesmaids, it was beautiful. I was able to purchase a custom made Ao Dai from her (one to keep as a momento). With a busy schedule and with practically no time to shop, I was able to pick out a wedding dress within the day. Hien has such a calming presence and it has been such a wonderful and worry-free experience. Everyone at the wedding loved the dress and I didn't even have to change into my reception dress (where I've forgotten a few items for the reception dress) so I was able to dance in it the whole night!!! I contacted them a couple of weeks before my wedding and they were very fast to respond! They kept in touch with me and genuinely wanted to help me find the perfect dress.
