The customer service was awful. They were to have the dress ready, & my daughter wanted to add two lace pieces over the middle of her upper arm. The lace pieces were maybe, 8"long, less than 2"wide. I was charged an extra $150each. The price was stupidity expensive. The shop was pushy with daughter. They insisted, she pick up her paid for dress. The extra lace had not arrived @ the shop, yet. I didn't quite understand. It was important for the dress be picked up. It wasn't important for the lace pcs, to be included in picking up the dress. It was important to charge $300, extra. They said, the lace sleeves (dress shop's description) would arrive before the dress pick-up. Almost 3mos. had pasted by this time. But, we were told to pick up the dress. My daughter is 25. Young and excited for her future wedding. It seems like, they were rude & demanding with my daughter. She wanted her dress. The wedding is in about 3full mos. She wants to hurry with fitting. She wants everything ready, before the date. Dare Bridal received a call from me. I didn't know why the hold up on the lace. I wanted them. I didn't want the dress, until the fabric was in store. Well, after my exchange with how things were going to be handled. We were on the same page. It all of a sudden, only took a week for the extra pcs. to arrive. Another call to my daughter to tell her the news & pick up the dress. I picked up the dress, myself. The lace was not attached to the dress. The only way they would add the fabric, if I used the seamstress they wanted to use. They were not paying for the work, no way. I feel as the business takes advantage of the intense tension of all the planning and the age of the bride. They wanted to decide where the dress went. From my perspective, the lace attached price for the fitting was going to be added to my bill and not the shop. Really ?! This is like, if I bought a car, and paid for it in full. Then, I can't pick up my car until, I agree to get my gas @ one particular store. Excuse me ?! Have they lost their ever lovin' mind ? I have the dress. Lace was included, in a plastic pocket, not attached to the dress itself. I will choose a seamstress. They were rude & conniving in their business practices. They prayed on the vulnerable. They could pressure the excited bride. The money was very disrespected. I'm the money. I happen to have chosen poorly on buying from this dress shop. I wouldn't wipe my feet off @ the door of this place, now. Terrible way of how they've chosen to treat people. Too bad for them, I have another child, getting married within the next year. A much bigger wedding is planned. My children choose, the way I handle their wants for their big day. The wedding party includes 5bridemates and the bride, w/2mothers. Dare Bridal Boutique will never get a dime from me, again. 3 more children to get married in the future. Oh, well... The shop knew of the second planning. I guess, they are not aware of customer satisfaction. They are exclusive in the business. Why would you provide a service, rudely ? Is this how, they have repeat business ? If they are rude and pushy then, kinda try to "blackmail" the customers, how are they successful in their sales ? Not ever, will I do business with them. Nor do I recommend them for any reason. If pressing young, vulnerable, naïve, soon to be young brides is part their business platform, their strategy is not what a new bride-to-be needs to consider. And, the money person should make the decision, to consider NOT wasting time & money @ this dress store. Unless, you like being treated so disrespected by a business which is suppose to be serving the customer's needs. The shop has failed, miserably. I'm stating my opinion of the less than appreciative attitude towards paying customers. Do individuals really, have business to always attempt to undermine situations for their benefit, rather than, offer a true service ? I guess, the all mighty dollar is always more important. But, if the customer isn't willing to stop allowing companies to treat them with anything less than respect, it's not worth whatever service you pay to be accommodated. You are paying to be treated badly. Why ? Business owners have forgotten the importance of service/treatment for their customers. It takes all of our qualities to make this big 'ol world turn. People need to have respect for others. Stop trying to manipulate & practice deceitful actions in a business situation. What happened to Truth in our population ? Now, all businesses just out & out, lie to your face. The audacity some of these people @ companies is way out there in left field, spinning in circles, picking dandelions, and ignoring needs in their character. I am so happy with my experience. Alyssa, the owner, is the sweetest person to work with. She made the fitting so incredibly personal to me and listened attentively to understand my vision. All of the staff treated me and my guests with nothing but kindness. Alyssa did not restrict my selection of dresses even though my wedding is less than 5 months away and personally took responsibility to ensure my dress arrives in ample time. She understood my vision so well that she read my mind with accessory suggestions and made my dreams come true in that regard. In comparison, other bridal shops in the area were much more negative about my timeline. Other bridal shops also did not allow for such an intimate experience in such a supportive environment. I was so nervous as someone who has had the worst experiences with shopping for clothes due to the fact that i'm an individual that doesn't have the body type that of someone who you usually see in wedding dresses. I could not be happier with my experience! I booked the "luxury" experience and we had a wonderful evening. Alyssa was wonderful the whole evening. She called me a few days before the appointment to get. A few details about my vision, theme, vibes were going for and even asked about dietary restrictions of any guests attending. Went shopping with my mom and sister and was helped by the owner Alyssa. She is new management and this place does not reflect the old reviews; it is so much better. The place is small but beautiful and has great variety of some gorgeous dresses. Everyone was so nice and helpful and Alyssa truly wants you to find a beautiful dress that fits you. She was wonderful during my first visit and when I went back for my fitting and didn't have anyone with me, she offered to take pictures to send to my mom and sister. Beautiful dress off rack. Everyone nice at first. Get your own alterations expert, since you pay alterations anyway. Whenever I had an opinion, "Oh, mother of the bride ..." and dismissed. While alterations made on sleeves, you could tell constantly touched with no gloves and dulled from overhandling. I texted inquiring about alterations, I was told she would inform me when ready. Never got that communication. Honestly, I should have bought dress on internet and paid for alterations. To sell you the dress, they smoooz you. Talk you up and so interested in you. Had an appointment 9 months prior to my wedding. When we walked in, I showed her a dress that I really liked, and explained that I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on a dress I may like even more. Her response, "well it sounds like you didn't even need this appointment". I let it go, as she told the guests I brought with me that normally she picks out the dresses, not the guests. By the last dress, there weren't any that I liked. While I'm still wearing that last dress, she said "well it sounds like you need to come back where you came from and get that other dress". Basically, as soon as she realized she had nothing I liked and I didn't intend on buying anything from her, she dismissed me and my guests, and sat back down at her desk and didn't even have the courtesy to say goodbye. Nice until she realizes you're not spending $ and then becomes dismissive. Will not recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

The lady who helped me greeted me asked when my wedding was and when I told her it was about 4 months away she told me "you should've started shopping way earlier I can't do anything for you. You can look at those dresses on that rack" and then walked away. She continued to go and tell a different customer "that was ridiculous. She's getting married in 4 months and expects to find something". I just got engaged a week ago and have already been stressed about finding stuff and she was very rude and they didn't have good options. Horrible experience. Booked a bridal appointment a week and a half in advanced. I traveled 6 hours to come to this appointment. My bridesmaids and I were treated so terrible by the owner. I did my research of the brands they sold ahead of time and went in knowing one I wanted to try on. She said they didn't have it and rudely said "I guess I'll call you on Monday to see if I can get it" it's been a week since she was supposed to call me and never heard from her. I came in with a 3 week deadline, and these ladies not only delivered exceptional quality they met my challenge! I'm leaving for my destination wedding with the gown of my dreams. I spoke with numerous bridal salons to make an appointment, most weren't friendly or optimistic when I told them my wedding date. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on but wasn't ready to commit that day...a few days later I bombarded brandy and just showed up at the bridal shop to "try on the dress one more time." She has a handful of other customers in the store but happily agreed to let me stop in without an appointment! What a disappointing experience from start to finish. I was in town for the holidays and looking forward to wedding dress shopping for the first time with my family. My Mom and I stopped by The Bridal Loft to check it out. Brenda, the owner, was pleasant and seemed really helpful so we happily made an appointment to return with my Dad. My appointment was the very first appointment for when they opened. However, I quickly realized that there was going to be no one-on-one attention when I arrived and 2 other appointments were happening. This is not a big shop so it was quite crowded with 3 brides and their families. Brenda let us know we would have another consultant and let us walk around. Our consultant didn't come over to us for another 10-15 minutes. Fine. Finally when she did she came over and said, just pick dresses you like and let me know when you are ready. Ok? I had no idea what to do! I picked a few and finally flagged her down off her phone to let her know kind of what I was interested in to see if she could help me find something similar. She picked several dresses that didn't seem to match anything I had asked for but I figured I would go with it. At no point did she ask me my budget, my size or what kind of wedding I would be having. She threw the dress in the room and left. I was stuck in a tiny dressing room to get those giant wedding dresses on by myself. Seriously?! I finally had to get my Mom to flag her down, yet again off of her phone, to help me clip the dress. She clipped it and then left again. When I came out there were other brides on the pedestals so I just stood off to the side. My parents were kind of placed in a corner. This was not the experience we had hoped for. I should note that they had a pair of white heels in the dressing room to try on with your dress. These shoes were so dirty that they were almost grey. It was disgusting and I would never put my foot in one of those. I decided to try on a few dresses only to notice that the consultant had picked dresses that were about 4 sizes too small, completely out of my budget and not anything like I described. Thanks for wasting my time lady. I started to get upset so I told my Mom I wanted to pack up and go. I was feeling ignored and uncomfortable. My parents mentioned to Brenda that I was upset and this was turning into a horrible experience and all she did was come over to the dresssing room, open the door while I was in mid-change and say "Sorry you aren't having fun" and then walked away leaving the door wide open. Nothing else. No "how can we fix this?". Nada. I would NEVER EVER recommend that someone visit this store. The service is horrible. The experience was not even remotely fun. I know it all sounds trivial and silly, but shopping for a wedding dress is supposed to be a fun event for the bride. This was anything but that! I'm so glad that I had an appointment before this one to know how it was supposed to go and another after to wipe the awful experience away. read more

Brenda and Brandi are the best! I did not have an appointment my first time but felt so welcomed just popping in. They were busy of course but allowed me to browse a bit by myself before I made my appointment to return. When I returned, Brandi was so helpful and honest while I was trying on dresses. She is so fun to be around and makes you feel like a friend. After I found my dress she even encouraged me to come back closer to time of my wedding with my bridesmaid to take a photo (since I shopped alone for my dress). It is obvious they not only sell dresses but experiences. When my family and I came back we ALL had a blast- seriously- the best!!! I'm very thankful and happy about my purchase. I think the actual name of the shop is The Bridal Loft but this place was a pleasure to deal with. The owner, Brenda is so sweet and is just genuinely excited to help you find your dream dress. This was the first place I went to during my dress shopping excursion and ended up going back to purchase the first dress I ever tried on. The service at the 10 plus stores I went to ranging from NYC to New Orleans just didn't compare. The employees of the store are young women who are just genuinely into fashion and u can tell they love working for Brenda. From the moment I stepped in to leaving, I was in love! Mrs. Brenda and Brandi were so helpful and had amazing customer service! First, the positives: I will say that the dresses in this shop are beautiful and the staff was pretty friendly. That being said, unless you are a size 8-10 or smaller, don't even bother with this place. I went in, and after telling the salesgirl my normal size is a 14 or 16, she pointed to a tiny corner of a rack, saying "these are the things that you can try on." There were only about 8 dresses from which to choose out of a store slap full of gowns. I wasn't allowed to try on anything from the "normal" racks and certainly wasn't encouraged to even look at them. I tried on two dresses, one of which looked fine (and it was swimming on me, by the way, considering it was a size 22). I left feeling very disappointed, extremely hurt and frankly VERY offended. I had made an appointment more than a week in advance out of courtesy for the owner's time. My suggestion to her is to let potential customers know that unless you are a size 10 or smaller, they have very little for you. I drove for more than 2 hours to visit this store, by the way. Lesson learned. The next places I visit, I'll certainly be asking what sizes they carry to save myself some humiliation. read more

I had a terrible experience at another bridal store in Pensacola the day I visited. I live 2 hours away and made the trip there so I goggled near by bridal shops so our day wouldn't be wasted. I called to make sure I would be helped without an appointment. From the phone conversation to buying the dress every thing was wonderful. They made me feel so welcome and beautiful. Never once did they push something more expensive on me. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience that day. Then a few months later I decided that I wanted to purchase a veil from them and called to make sure they still had the style in stock that I was interested in. She knew exactly who I was and where I was from when I told her the style of dress I bought. Almost six months later she remembered who I was and what I liked. I am incredibly impressed by the costumer service. They know how to make a bride feel special! read more

If I could give this Zero stars, I would. If you are contemplating buying anything from this store think twice and don't do it! I have dealt directly with BRENDA, the owner, so I'm speaking specifically about my experience with her. It seems like Brandi is great per the other reviews and it's a shame that her name is so similar to BRENDA. I live out of state, and I purchased a bridesmaid dress there for my friend's wedding in Pensacola. I experienced nothing but difficulty from the start with her. Although I gave my measurements and specified bra and clothing sizes to her over the phone, she INSISTED I get a size that I knew would be too big. I politely disagreed with her and asked that she order the size which was appropriate with my clothing size. She disagreed and condescendingly told me that I "didn't know anything about wedding sizing" and ordered me two sizes bigger than what I knew I needed. When the dress finally arrived, it was, of course, two sizes too big. Due to the fact that I'm traveling across the country to attend the wedding I had to take it to a local tailor where I live in order to ensure it would be completed before the wedding. It resulted in $110 charge that I would not have incurred had Brenda just listened to me. If this were merely an honest mistake, it would be one thing, but Brenda's pathological dishonesty and poor communication took my frustration to the next level. She caused miscommunications and arguments with the bride whose wedding I'm in, and lied to both of us multiple times. She should not own a business, and I just can't emphasize enough how terribly she conducts her business affairs and communication. I work for a Fortune 500 company, and if I had conducted myself the way she has I would have been fired long ago. Do yourself and your pocketbook a favor and don't step foot in this store. read more

I walked in and the store is lovely and seemed like it had a lot of options, but I didn't experience any of them. I went in to inquire about bridesmaid dresses with two of my bridesmaids and to try on a few wedding dresses myself. The lady walked us back and told us the brands of dresses, and thats where the service stopped. There was another bride in the shop whom the lady helping me found more interesting. Even though I had made an appointment, I didn't receive any service. The staff were polite, but not helpful. My bridesmaids tried on dresses but we had to call someone over every time they came out in a dress to be clipped or helped with the dress. Most of the time we were just left to our own devices. I was never shown even one wedding dress or received and offer to try one on. At the end of our time, we found two dresses we liked, and the employee gave us a card with the style numbers on it and told us to buy the dresses online, which was confusing since we planned to buy the dresses from the store. We went online and found that the dresses did not come in the colour that I need them in, even though we were assured that they could come in any colour from the company. Overall, it was a very bad experience. I've had much, much more help, even at walmart. read more
