When I decided to start looking for a wedding dress, I checked all the normal places in town: David's Bridal, Bridal Loft, etc. After seeing how much wedding dresses costs, I stopped hyperventilating and decided htat maybe I would never find an affordable perfect wedding dress for my small budget. TTAL came up on a google search when I googled "Pensacola wedding dress stores" or something to that affect, and I looked at the site and thought it sort of odd that they had so many pictures of wedding dresses on a model holding a flower. Wasn't this a consignment shop? Weren't all the dresses used? I was confused. After driving by a few times, I decided to go in, but not expecting to find anything (admittedly, I'm a little superstitious about buying a used wedding dress). Turns out, the dresses ARENT used (well, some are, I'm sure) but mostly liquidation dresses. The owner was so nice! I told her what I was looking for and how little my budget was. She said no problem and started to help me look. I ended up finding the PERFECT dress in my size. And the price tag? $2300...marked down to $200! Definitely within my budget and not used (so my wedding won't be cursed by a dress from a bitter divorcee like I was scared of!). I was so excited! She let me do a payment plan (told you my budget was small) and I pay every month, just a couple dollars here and there. And every time I go in to pay, she remembers me and my name and my dress. She's even let me try it on a few more times and even zipped me up. She's so helpful and nice. I can't wait to finally get my dress from there and wear it on my wedding day! read more

When I was looking for my wedding dress, I fell in love with a gown at another store. The salespeople were pushy and not all that nice. I almost bought the gown there because I loved it that much. But something in my gut told me to check Two Times a Lady. I'm so glad I did! They had the EXACT SAME DRESS with the tags still on it, unaltered, for only $150! That was so much cheaper than the original store I went to! I seriously could not have asked for a better deal. Even better, the seamstress they work with, Ruthie, was there to do my first fitting. I made an appointment and went into the store November 2017 and had an absolutely great experience. Tammy went above and beyond with her participation in the Brides Across America program. My fiance is deployed and she helped with dress fitting. I picked out some dresses and she did too...... her dress was not only a perfect fit but absolutely beautiful. I lost EVERY SINGLE dress I had from highschool to this lady. They were not something I just wanted to give away either. I took them all in to consign them and It took 8 months of me going in/calling for her to even own up that she wasnt paying me. She eventually tole me that they were too "dirty" and that she had donated them all to goodwill. Of course without notifying me AFTER 8 MONTHS! Of course this all happened in 06/07.. youd think it would have changed since then. A friend of mine recently took her dress there and the same thing happened she just didnt wait as long as I did and ended up going back to get her dress after she was getting the runaround. edited for response from owner: "Thanks for taken the time out of your busy day let us know your still thinking about us. As a business that deals with contracts and the public it horrifies us to see anyone unhappy even after all this time. It seems like the issue was we did not clearly make the contract understandable for you or your friend. Two Times a lady did 90 days contract everything cleaned, no smells no stains, nothing dated and within a 3 to 5 year period and if you want them back you come back on the date that states contract ends date and you pick them off the racks yourself. If your gowns were donated out they had to meet one or all of the criterias and phone calls are made before they get donated. Your friend dress was in the store the entire time. She sent her friend in to find the gown which her friend did. The gown was return to her. Its much easier if the client looks. Serving the commutate for over 25 years we have work with over 6000 consignor. But because of you and your friend we have changed whom and how we do business. After receiving information you stated about doing mean things to the owner of Two Times A Lady's food when you served her at a national chain (which place the national chain and the owner of Two Times A Lady in mediation over your improper conduct to a patron) we no longer do consignment with anyone other then business. Plus after the threaten harassing and staking attacks from your friend which just caused the owner of Two Times a Lady to fear for her safe over used dresses. This was not for the safety for children, the fight for breast cancer or ever to stop animal cruelty but used dress that wasnt even wanted anymore For real this behavior was all over used unwanted dresses As young women starting out in life and in business I wish no one like yourself on either of you. Two Times A Lady does so much work helping women to be in safe place and follow the right path, fighting for breast cancer ( a survivor of breast cancer twice)), rescuing animals and as of to date working on the clean up of the animal in the oil, sexual abuse children and so many more.We wish no harm just love and warm heart and a we pray that both of you find happiness. Every time I need a dress for a formal event (and twice for a Halloween costume!) I visit Two Times a Lady. The owner is helpful and friendly, and has dresses in ALL sizes, which I appreciate as a plus-sized woman. I have been shopping here since 2009, and I have ALWAYS found a perfect dress for a reasonable price. This is always my first and last stop on the hunt for a dress. For a formal event last year, I brought two friends with me who ALSO found perfect dresses for reasonable prices, one of them after a lengthy search. The ladies who own/run the shop were extremely patient, even with the more difficult friend. I've witnessed them helping people out with tragic dresses that were bought online from China, going above and beyond to call seamstresses who could alter the dresses so they would be wearable in time for the wedding. In my experience, they could not be nicer or more customer-oriented, even for people who weren't spending tons of money with them. I will be returning this Saturday once again to find a dress for a formal event, and I have no doubt that there will be a perfect dress there for me. read more

Words cannot even begin to explain my love for this shop and the ladies that work inside of it! My mom and I went in about 30 minutes before close one night on a whim after we had a bad experience at David's Bridal. Both ladies in the store immediately jumped in to help me find the dress of my dreams. We actually ended up staying an hour after close with the ladies trying on dresses. They never once rushed me or made me feel like I was being an inconvenience. I couldn't make up my mind between two different dresses so they told me to sleep on it and come back the next day whenever I "knew" which dress was mine. I ended up buying the most beautiful wedding dress at such a great price that it is unbelievable. This was by far the best shopping experience that I have EVER had at any store. I can't believe I never knew about this place. Amazing dresses for fantastic prices. I've been buying gowns here for Mardi Gras events for a few years now and since then I have had amazing luck finding dresses that look like the incredible ones I see on more slender ladies, but with such a large selection for bigger sizes. You can't really find dresses like the ones I've been getting anywhere else for these prices. I routinely get $100 or less gowns. You're getting boutique gowns for Dillard's prices, often cheaper. I love stopping in to see when she gets new stock and I love never having the same dress as someone else! read more

I needed a gown for a formal military function and just impulsively stopped by the shop to take a look at the gowns they had in stock. Tanya greeted me and assisted me throughout my shopping experience, lending advice and assisting me with the gowns I tried on. The shop had a comfortable, friendly atmosphere you don't get at the pretentious bridal boutiques. Tanya was very helpful and I ended up with several gowns to choose from, all very reasonably priced. I am in the process of consigning several dresses from a wedding that never happened. I found this place online and after reading mixed reviews, I really wanted to try and sell the dresses so I opted to give it a try. Well when I took the dresses in, the first thing that raised a red flag was that she didnt even write down what I brought in or tag them or enter them in a computer system or anything. Although I thought this was strange, I left them there and just wrote down what I left there on my own. Then after 90 days was up, I called the lady to ask if anything had sold. She said she cant tell me over the phone. I live out of town about an hour and a half away. So I drove there and when I got there the computers were down so she couldnt tell me anything. A WASTED trip!!! So then I decide to just reconsign for another 90 days because she couldnt do anything that day. Well after 90 more days, I call and she tells me she will call back. Of course she did not. So I called her back and she said she would get my things together. Of course, I asked her if I could come Friday or Saturday and she wasnt going to be in those days and she is the ONLY one that can do consignments. It has been a hassle from the start. I really have a bad feeling that I wont get my things back or any money. My advice would be to find somewhere else to sell your items. It really surprises me to see any positive reviews. Maybe from the buying side, it is a good experience but DEFINITELY not from the selling side. Good luck is all I can say. read more

I too, find this place to be undesirable. I find the attitude of the proprietor to be unworthy of the clients she serves. I was recommended only as a last resort. Due to such short notice for the occastion requiring the dress.The quality of the dress purchased was substandard to the price. We bought the dress knowing it had to be altered, but didn't know about the zipper being in poor shape. I tried to talk to the woman whom answered the phone about said problem. She would only take a message for the consigner. I was told they would make a judgement on what to do. The next day I called back again. Only because the seamstress needed to have a answer on what to do. I was rudely talked to, and my concerns were met with by critical accusations and hysteria. She said at this time they manufactured these dresses. I don't know what to believe. She told me she felt threatened by me and she was calling the police on me for threats. I never made any threats to her. I do however plan to communicate to my source of referral, to never refer this place again. I will spend the $70.00 to replace the zipper and alter the dress as planned. That is $70.00 over the $100.00 I already paid for the dress. putting a zipper in a dress that is new should never have happened.There also was deoderant stains in the dress as well as straps that had machine marks and threads hanging from an earlier alteration. She denied that ever happened, when the dress itself shows that evidince. The day my grandchild and her grandfather went to dress shop. This woman was telling my 15 year old gran-daughter, and my husband about her daughter being pregnant. She was not wanting to be a grandparent or to babysit the baby for her daughter. That is by her choice. I treasure my grandchildren and my time with them. I do not think this was very professional to voice her concerns about that kind situation. Nor, do I think it appropriate to bring your homelife into the work place. This is my grand-daughters first formal and it is with her grandfather. A memory to last her forever. I will not tarnish this for her by getting into an all out war with this woman. It is in my opinion she has some very serious behavior problems. We will keep the dress, spend the money and fix this problem. I will however, in the future go elsewhere. I will not recommend this shop to anyone. I understand from reading past reviews this lady has had some trouble in the past with other customers and their satisfaction. She has answered these reviews with denial and in some situations court proceedings.. Cognitivly, I feel this woman has some issues. Either by choice or by the medical problems she has had in the past. I do commend her for her support in the areas she mentioned in her review rebuttal. I find her argumentive and irrational. Not the kind of person considerate to the paying public. I am finding more and more in all areas where workplace skills have deminished considerbly. The customer is not valued, nor their concerns addressed. It instead, is met with critical attitudes, which can put the customer in a defensive mood. I to have been given the run around with this business. I have been trying to get with them for over a year to consign a dress. EVERY time I have called i get told to call back on this date, only to get another date when i call. I just called last week and was told to call back the middle of this week....well now i get told the middle of september!! I have to agree with the other ladies, this business is dishonest from the word go! They really need to ge their act together. I recently visited Two Times A Lady after reading wonderful reviews and needing a wedding gown very quickly due to an alterations issue with my previous gown. I was never once asked what kind of dress would help my needs or even what size I was looking for but instead greeted with a disdain for even needing a new gown. The person in charge repeatedly defended the alterations consultant even though I even complimented the consultant on her skills as a seamstress and suggested that she merely made a mistake (10 days before my wedding day). I was told by the person in charge "You already have own the other one" and as a consumer with money to spend at said business, I was surprised that a salesperson would deter any attempts to gain present and future business. Regardless of remaining calm (especially for a bride without a gown that fits 10 days before her wedding) I was told that my mother and I were "just panicking" and that I really should take my dress back to my alterations consultant. After explaining that the alterations consultant herself told me she could not think of any solutions as to a feasible way to fix my gown, the person in question told me that "she was probably just in shock" because she knows she is a "phenomenal seamstress". After reading such wonderful reviews about how helpful the staff at Two Times A Lady is, I was so disappointed not to have received that experience. I was expecting a warm, welcoming and understanding experience but instead left feeling like the person in charge did not want my business let alone me in her store at all. I will not return even though I am an avid consignment shopper and I attend Mardi Gras balls every year and am always looking for a great deal on a nice formal. I would rather take my business elsewhere and spend extra money on a gown. read more
