On Monday (of Memorial Day no less) I requested a quote to have our front and backyard grass completely uprooted, with new sod, and other minor (but important) requests. By Wednesday (less than 48 hour later) the work was completed. The quick response and action was a must have for our situation and the crew impressed me with their efficiency and well done work. The work quoted was similar to others received as well, but the speed in which Dario and the crew could get the work done is what separated their bid. They did a terrific job of turning over the soil and prepping everything before laying down sod, and even followed up with some after care instructions. Though we had a good overall experience, the initial quotes we received from Dario were vastly different than the quotes we received after signing an initial contract. That being said, I think the end estimates were not totally unfair for our project. Ultimately Dario and his crew did a great job completely transforming our overgrown backyard with dense bushes and deeply rooted weeds. They leveled the yard, keeping in mind to slightly slope it to allow water to draw away from the house, applied sod, and installed a beautiful patio. He even recommended a border which we did not think of but it looks wonderful and natural with the adjacent garage. They also fixed up some minor uneven cement edges and a hole left by the garage installation. Everyone was super efficient and got the job done in about 2 days. As an added bonus they pruned a tree we had and mowed our overdue front lawn. Dario is also easy to reach and highly responsive. We will still keep him in mind for future jobs! read more

I obtained a quote from this business and they tried to charge me 1000% markup for plants. Then I decided to buy my own so I asked them to change the quote, add mulch and landscape fabric. Then again they quoted me WAY over what I could get on my own. So I asked again to change the quote. Then Nyah the admin assistant wrote an email which mentioned different details than the quote so I asked for that to be corrected. Then when she wasn't doing that I asked four more times for the project to be adjusted because the labor price was good but I wanted to supply my own plants and I wanted a $20 fabric from Home Depot and mulch was $2/bag at Lowes. Sure enough, Nylah came back and said that "management said the quote was firm". So that meant that Dario Garcia was insisting that he buy the plants and mulch at 10x the real cost - and not allow me to supply my own. He was going to mark up to $1200 what I got at Lowes for $127. Wow! Just wow! So I emailed one more time after they kept sending me docusign contracts - would they fix the quote and allow me (the customer) to dictate the project? Nope! Radio silence. Dario Garcia anf Nylah will decide!! So: don't waste your time or money with these people. The admin isn't great at her job and whoever does the pricing is ABSOLUTELY UNEQUIVOCALLY lying about what things cost (or minimally up charging by 900-1000%. In contrast, when Jose from Dario's company arrived, he was spot on time. We chose Dario's Landscaping beacause of their user friendly website! We were able to schedule a consultation easily and they were very responsive! They came out and we initially just wanted a Spring cleanup and aeration. We wound up doing a tree removal, adding new sod & we mentioned our fence needed repair, and they said they could do that as well. They came out yesterday and within 5 hours, repaired our fence the correct way with good materials, cut the tree down and cut all the roots from the lawn that were being damaged from the tree, laid the new sod and cleaned up! i found Dario Garcia on Yelp so requested an appointment on April 8. We met him April 11, were impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. That day he wrote a proposal for a backyard patio and planter in front of the house. we paid $1,000 upfront with balance due as the work progressed. We needed some tuckpointing done first by another contractor and also took a vacation so Dario had to work around our schedule. He was nice about it. He was responsive to our voicemail. Giving us several days notice, his team started work on June 18 and finished by noon the next day. My husband asked him to meet him at a nursery to choose plants, for which we paid but Dario's crew planted. I watched them work during two extremely hot days. they regraded the front and back yard in order to lay the patio flat and built an attractive retaining wall because the yard slopes. They were obviously experienced laying the stones in intricate patterns. Then they sodded everything. The workers were friendly and polite. The finished work is beautiful. Dario has some ideas for future work for which we will hire him. read more
