I first hired Dario in May 2023 to remove weeds on the side and back hills in my yard. They did an excellent job; very nice, polite workers. Domingo supervised the work. Before he left I told him I was considering removing a 50+ year- old Cedar tree from my front slope. With all the rain in early 2023 I was beginning to worry that the roots might loosen and the tree would fall into the street. TV news frequently reported trees just falling over without warning. I did nothing until this February when we had even heavier rains. I had an estimate from a service in Calabasas and one from a company here in the Valley. Then I called Dario. David came out and his estimate was the same as the second company. He asked if I had other estimates and I said yes, the same as yours. Then he said that since I was a repeat customer he would do the job for $2700. It's yours, I said. They could have done the job sooner and wanted to but I wanted to wait until the following Monday. I won. The team of 10 arrived earlier than expected. I watched, fascinated by the workers up in the tree lowering tied branches to the ground. It was a long day for them, especially the grinding of the branches. When the job was completed there wasn't a spec of sawdust on the sidewalk or street. Amazing work. Two arborists had looked at my cedar and each had raised his eyebrows when I said I wanted it removed. But I could not help thinking about what could happen if it just suddenly toppled over.
