The front desk told me that they couldn't see him Because I didn't have an appointment and they had other bookings. My dog was in desperate need And they didn't even care. It looks like it's strictly business And all about the money. I did manage to speak to doctor Krawczyk after calling back three times and he didn't even offer to accommodate me with an emergency visit. I used to think that a doctor's code of ethics was to treat the patient, but I guess in this case it's all about the money. I had an appointment the following week And I told doctor K that I am never coming back again. That's a good way to keep customers. Sorry to say that I would not recommend this practice.

In the past we went ton other emergency vets and unfortunately it was always a long wait, you were away from your dog the entire time, and they wouldn't release your dog to you until after you paid. VEG is different than all those places. We were seen immediately and while they do have an open concept ER, they gave us a private room just in case. The nurse (Diana) and the vet (Dr. Schwartz) were all incredible. They took such good care of our dog and us! They allow you to be with your pet during X-rays which I found amazing. No paying first then waiting for your pet to be discharged. You're as hands on as you're comfortable being. Amazing place.

The behavior this practice has exhibited has been avoidant, evasive and disappointing. I called distressed after my dog was having complications healing from surgery after a lipoma removal. We arrived on a busy Sunday and were taken at the end of a triage. During our time there I voiced to MULTIPLE techs that my dog was bleeding through his gauze. 2/3 responses were a deadpan stare and the words "ok". It took 3 times of me asking/ pleading for someone to listen to me. Even then I was armed with loose gauze and a wee wee pad. When we were finally seen I was so relieved i let this all fall away. I was so happy my pet was taken care of I went home following their orders and protocol. The next day I realized all the sutures at the site had fallen out and we were back at square one after spending hundreds of dollars. Naturally I was upset and placed a call to the location. I was placed on an infinite hold 3 times with no answer until i called from my friend's phone to which they picked up immediately. I have been calling every day since Monday with not a single person giving me a call back or without any financial compensation for the negligent job they did. I have given them since Monday to give me a call back and fix this. I've called every day without a call back. So if you don't care about your pets or spending unnecessary money this is the place for you!

Sam…read morewas being (mis)treated by another vet who repeatedly misdiagnosed his cough, appetite loss and exhaustion. When Sam's condition worsened and my former vet refused to see him, I desperately called East Meadow Veterinary Clinic for an appointment. Much to my surprise and delight Dr. Olcha agreed to see us the very same day! Sam's cardiac condition was quickly diagnosed and he's on a few new meds now that have helped him tremendously. He's eating well and taking walks now. Yay! Let's not forget the wonderful Latynese at the front desk who graciously helped me with appointments, meds etc. She's fantastic! Now I can look forward to spending New Years Eve with Sam on the sofa drinking bubbly (Sam will have water, natch:) - all due to the skill, compassion and diagnostic skills of Dr. Olcha and East Meadow Veterinary Clinic. The Clinic's fees are reasonable and they allow customers to refill meds online at a discount (something my former vet didn't do). He still has a long road to recovery but is doing much better and home with his family. There were 2 staff members in particular that really made an impact on my experience at this hospital. Nancy, the Emergency Room Liasion really holds that place together and is truly an asset to the hospital. Nancy came to my rescue as I was trying to make difficult decisions for my pet. She went above and beyond to help me and played an important role in helping me bring my pet home. She is truly a compassionate individual and fully understood what I was going through. Her caring ways really put my worries and concerns at ease. I'm thankful for having her help. Another employee that made a difference is Daniella. She is the type of employee who truly shows how important her role is within the pet hospital. From the moment you walk through the door, she makes you feel welcomed, heard, and comfortable. I was heartbroken, but the staff at Little Neck Veterinary Care couldn't be more kind, compassionate, and understanding. We decided to bring her home, and let her live her life as comfortably as possible. About a week later we realized that Bacon's health was declining, and that it was time to say goodbye. This was extremely hard for me since I had Bacon before my daughter and my husband. The staff were so kind, and made the process as gentle on us as possible. They created a memorial keepsake with her paw print in sand. They also included patches of her fur, and they made sure to include all of her colors. Not only that, they sent a beautiful, handwritten sympathy card. I know it's old fashioned, but it also shows that they care. That action took time, and they didn't have to do that, but they did. I will take my other cats there, any future pets, and I'll recommend other pet parents to this vet.

In the…read more10 years I've had Boscoe I've never seen a tick on him but then again I also just moved into a neighborhood with a lot more trees. Dr. Meloni took the time to show me what to do, explain what it is I am looking for and got Boscoe on different flea/tick medication.  Pricier than my previous vet but I think that's just Locu$t Valley for you. Recommend!
