I have purchased hundreds of dollars in merchandise from this local business over the last 2 years. With limited options for shopping in the area this was my best choice. The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely try to match what I was looking for with products they sold in the store. Many times they would even order items specifically for me. I would have told you a week ago to go there before you buy from the other guys in town.
I bought a new vape mod set up from them. I've been using vaping mods for the better part of a decade now. Most of the time I would find myself explaining how mods work to the staff because all they seem to really know is what they personally use. There is such a vast array of options available now that you really have to stay up to date. They don't sell what I want usually because I am pretty specific in what I want because of my years of experience. However, the sales person was adamant that I would be very happy with my purchase. As this sales person has gone out of their way to service my shopping needs for two years now I went with the recommendation. So, I get the mod home, even bought brand new batteries (from a competitor because the Darkside didn't have any), and my old tank the sales person swore to me would work with the new purchase didn't work at all how I specifically explained I wanted it to. I don't vape sub ohm, I like high resistance coils, and I'm also very very happy with my triton tank. The $100 paperweight I now own is pretty worthless to me as, even though promised, it doesn't actually function below 15 watts. The box even says it performs down to like 6 watts. I specifically said I Always stay around 11-12 watts. After going in and showing the same sales person that the mod doesn't actually work properly as they said it would, the response was more or less an "oh well" type attitude. I asked if they do any type of returns because I would have been fine with a gift card or store credit...I would have even paid some sort of restocking fee if asked. Something, anything, to salvage a faithful 2 year shopping relationship. After the firm no from the sales person about returns I politely told them they have completely lost me because of this.
After the last two interactions with the store I am no longer a happy camper. I truly feel like I was just ripped off for $100. They marked the price up way over suggested retail and sold me bad equipment that they refuse to return. So, if you're thinking of buying anything from this store please remember it's a buyer-beware environment. No matter what, they will not take anything back, used or in the exact same condition they sold it to you in. As a consumer you should always be very aware of any store that refuses returns. If a company is going to sell a product, they should also stand behind it. That includes the knowledge base of how each product works in order to effectively market products to customers. A company not willing to salvage the relationship with the consumer by taking back faulty merchandise is extremely shady in my opinion. It shows a total disregard for the customer because in the end all that matters is they got you to buy something. I'll never, ever make a purchase from this location and because of such a bad experience I won't shop at the Redding location either. I can't even say I'm angry. It's more like I'm highly disappointed because I was manipulated, lied to, and cheated out of $100. read more
