I hadn't been practicing yoga for a long time and was so happy to discover this yoga studio. All the teachers are experienced and certified and have a welcoming demeanor to them. I hadn't been to an Iyengar yoga class for 25 years and was pleasantly surprised to see it offered in the classes. The monthly sound bath class is quite a treat and the yin class is a must-do. Darling Yoga is just that, quite darling with inviting instructors and fellow students as well as a truly awe-inspiring studio space to practice yoga of all levels. The almost floor to ceiling windows make the natural light dance in between you during class. The tan wooden floors are bright and grounding at the same time. The wide studio area gives everyone plenty of personal space to practice. Emphasis on breathwork is stressed from the beginning to the end of class. This is imperative for a complete immersion into the mind-state of a yogi. It's a women owned business very close to Johnson County Community College. My advanced vinyasa class was a wide range of ages as well as genders, and the class was taught at a very reasonable to follow pace. I will definitely return to Darling Yoga, maybe even for a workshop in the near future. read more

I took my mom and Aunt to the Sunday morning mediation class (which is FREE by the way!!!), and all three of us felt so much better after. Clayton is an absolutely wonderful teacher. His voice alone is enough to put you in a meditative state. He is clearly a well practiced meditator and offered such a unique perspective on mindfulness, which made it much easier to sit still and let my thoughts pass through for the hour of time we got to spend at the studio. The Darling Yoga studio space itself is also phenomenal. Everything smells good and there's tons of natural light. They offer plenty of props and mats. They sell cute yoga gear and local jewelry, as well as local eggs, honey, and bread! Don't forget to keep up with their workshops and events. I am brand new to yoga as well as to the area and found this place via yelp & saw all the amazing reviews., bought a Groupon to try out the numerous different types of yogas and levels of learning. I have not been disappointed in a single class with 4 different instructors who are all very kind, caring and willing to help you in any way they can. I absolutely LOVE this place. After my 1 month unlimited trial is over I will be purchasing a membership. I have experience several different yoga studios( yoga six ..love them) and belonging to yoga buzz(love them) in the stl, I am spoiled. With me traveIing for work it hard to keep up my practice. So looking for a yoga studio on Groupon the name Darling yoga attracted me and I glad that it did. When I first walked in I was welcome with warm smile. I have tried three of their class deep stretch and basics yoga. I have to retrain my body( lol) and the teachers were wonderful in helping me get into different positions from the class. I am glad the I found darling yoga and now have added it to my wonderful list of yoga studios. P.s. only one suggestion to warm studio up in deep stretch to help stretch these tired muscles...LOL.... read more

I bought a groupon and have been to 3 Yin Yang classes. These are more restorative classes which is a nice change from the standard flow. Show up early because on colder days a lot people come in. The instructor is good plus has a good music selection. That particular class is 90 minutes long. Stay for the meditation at the end she adds in a cool light show for your enjoyment. read more

I recently moved to Denver from KC and am so sad that I can no longer go to Darling. This is by far the best studio I have ever practiced yoga at. Each instructor is completely different and each class is never the same. They are encouraging and down to earth. They keep a sense of humor in class so no one feels like they aren't good enough. Most of the instructors incorporate some chanting and all clearly have a passion for true, traditional yoga. Most of them do focus on a mind-body connection, and some of them are more challenging and faster paced, but really fun. I always feel better after class. There are a number of classes at multiple levels offered seven days a week. They have really built a great yoga community here. The space is clean, welcoming, and calming. The owners are very nice - maybe a little better at teaching yoga than interpersonal skills, but nothing that would keep me from attending. I love how music is used in their classes, as I have found that not all studios do that. The prices are pretty comparable to other studios. Definitely recommend Darling! read more

I am 6 months pregnant and am having some pretty bad back pain. I came to check out one of the Yoga Basics with a friend just to try it out. I was not expecting any special treatment, I knew it wasn't a Prenatal class, I just wanted to sit in as it was my first yoga experience ever! I spoke to Emily on the phone who was incredibly patient with me when I could not navigate the website due to connectivity issues and Victor, who was able to maintain focus with the entire class and check on me to see how comfortable I was. I had the most incredible experience at Darling Yoga and plan to purchase a membership so I can come as often as my schedule permits! read more

Ditto about Emily and Victor's classes! Even if you know nothing about yoga, you will get a lot out of this class and not feel intimidated, but encouraged. Emily has the most soothing voice and positive calmness about her - she is a lululemon ambassador too. Victor explains the "why" behind yoga poses and breathing and wants everyone to feel successful. One time I left my yoga mat at the studio and called to see if anyone had found it. Emily told me it was safe at the studio and in the lost and found; she did mention someone may have used it (it was near the community mats), but this place has such good karma I didn't 't even mind. Good schedule with a wide variety of class times. I like the happy, motivational quotes that are rotated in the bathrooms. Overall, you just feel great when you leave Darling Yoga. read more
