After my first child was born, Lee Ann helped whip my body into the best shape I'd EVER been in. I felt so strong and it was FUN! Pilates classes on the reformer are truly unbelievable. (Now I've had a second child and I need to go see them again!!) Fast results, soothing atmosphere, easy to park. I wish it was a little less expensive, but that is my only complaint. The high, exposed ceilings means tall yogis will have no barriers, and the cork floors are very comfortable and warm to walk on barefoot (of course, the day outside wasn't a mid-November one, either.) All the accessory props you'd need were there, even a mat (free!) if you just want to give it a one-time trial. The class was taught by Patricia, who is one of the founding owners. She was very knowledgeable, offered hands-on assists to her students, paced her classes well, and was an encouraging instructor. I love how the yoga practice room sees no shod feet due to how it's arranged with the entry downstairs. However, this confused me for a brief moment when trying to enter: the entrance is actually around the back of the building near the farmer's market shelter, not at the storefront on Santa Fe Dr. Word has it that Saturdays require a bit of creativity in parking because of the market, too.

Power 1 is perfect for high energy beginners (like me). This class will make you feel strong and refreshed. It's the perfect balance between working your body physically and mentally. G has such a calm, positive, compassionate presence. Not only will she help you through the physical moves but she will help you focus mentally on mindfulness and repeating a positive mantra. Not to mention, her playlist is on point! Power Life has several membership offerings including free walk-in classes. Sometimes they run a 30 days for $30 special. The facility from lobby to locker room to fitness studio is so fresh and so clean (the locker room smelled of eucalyptus and the class of light incense). Power Life is located in TwoLight. Same reaction from several other friends I have brought with me to a class at ISY. The owner's artistic abilities shine in this place. I remember loving the GREEN that is in the studio with beautiful plants in the entrance area. Laura's classes were OUTSTANDING. She courageously started the studio and lends her love of the practice to everyone who walks in the door. She has created an environment, a space to be completely relaxed and go deep into the practice (if that's where you are) or dip your toe into what yoga is all about. The space and instructors are warm and welcoming, making everyone feel at home. I wish the schedule was a bit more robust with a wider variety of classes, but I appreciate that most classes are small and the quality of instruction is high. They also offer free community classes on the full moon each month, which is a great opportunity to get a feel for the place and experience the energy.
