Out of all of the contractors we met with, Darnell was the only one who provided an estimate in writing and who took the time to make sure that my requests were even possible. (I wanted to switch from an electric cooktop to an induction range, he made sure our breaker box could handle the switch.) Darnell's estimate was not the lowest but he guaranteed the work within 5% of the estimated cost. On a big project like this, security in knowing what we are on the line for is helpful in planning. Very professional work. I had an AC unit leak in my attic which caused water damage to the ceiling of my living room. I also had a broken attic door/ladder that needed replacing. I read the reviews in 2016 and contracted Darnell and his team. The exterior work to my home was superior. 4 years later there's not one thing he did that has to be touched up. We are selling the home and the new buyers love the upgrades completed in 2016. Since then, Darnell and Erin Green have upgraded the carpet, stucco and lighting at my funeral home as well as completed a rehab project for my new company in Arlington. I used Darnell to remodel both my bathrooms and couldn't be happier with the work he did. Both projects were fairly complex and he and his team worked through all obstacles that came up without issue. Beware of work ethic and quality of work when the laborer can't provide specific's about his own estimated cost. Darnell acts bothered by potential clients. The first day I spoke with him, he told me to text him my address and that he would get me on the schedule later that day. Three days later he calls back inquiring if I Still Needed a quote. I had him meet my husband 1 hour after his call. He advised he would email us a quote. 3 days later he reaches out with the quote. The quote is not itemizedoing so I text him inquiring about individual costs. This way we can decide which work we wanted to move forward with. To my surprise Darnell responds to my inquiry with:"Ok. Normally we provide one free estimate. It is much easier if we know your budget. It will allow us to put something custom together for the exterior of your home. " At this point im shocked that he is wanting to charge me to explain details of the quote he already gave to me. I stated to Darnell that The quote provided doesn't break down individual costs, it's just a lump sum. Which makes it very difficult for us to identify what direction to move forward in. Its not that we need a new quote we simply need specifics for the one already provided. He chose that it's too much work for him to provide details/itemized work quote. I still call Darnell whenever I need some work done in the house. He recently fixed a 2" hole in my siding. When he was done, it was so perfect I couldn't even tell where the hole used to be. Don't waste your time with this guy. I called him to bid on doing some repair work to a rental property and completely wasted 3 hours of my time. It was a relatively straightforward project with nothing particularly complex required. Mostly paint and simple drywall work with the light fixtures replaced. He showed up and almost immediately acted completely disinterested. He wandered around the property for 20 minutes but didn't take any notes. He finally said that he wasn't interested in giving me a bid and walked out without even saying goodbye. My guess is that the project was more work than he wanted to do. Between my hour drive over, my hour drive home and the 30 minutes I spent waiting for him, it was a completely wasted evening. read more

One stop shop! We needed everything done! We had a tenants gone bad situation. My husband found Darnell online and he came out the next day to give us a quote on a Sunday! When he arrived he was very personable and knowledgeable about what we needed to have done. It just so happened we had some people painting there that same day and he noticed right away they were doing things incorrectly and told us things we wouldn't have known like wait to paint the kitchen until after you've replaced the cabinets because there may be gaps and wait to paint the living area after the remodel to cut down on dust on the walls. Darnell and his crew have done two remodeling jobs for me, and are getting ready to start the third. The first time I hired him, it was to get a house ready for sale. He remodeled the kitchen and painted the inside and outside of the house. Based on the excellent work he did, I hired him to do some remodeling in my house.
