They had the exact type of oils I was looking for that the chain stores don't carry. DAS is now my new go to auto parts store.

I am so surprised by the negative comments from some reviewers. Every time, EVERY time I've been to this store they have been nothing but helpful and respectful. They have gone outside to show me where the fuse box is that I couldn't find, gave me helpful advice to prevent issues, are reasonably priced and have the parts I need when I need it. Recently I needed a very odd battery for a project car and looked online for who would carry it. Despite all the big chain stores showing it in stock, no one had it. I remembered DAS, we aren't very local to it and they not only had it but said they'd hold it for me until I got there. Wow. Great service and it's a local business. Lastly, to the woman who was upset about not being allowed to park when she needed the emergency vet. There are literally 4 spots for the auto parts store and a subway. The emergency vet is in the next building and has parking in the rear. Would you be upset that the police wouldn't let you park on Tarrytown road? I understand the urgency of your situation... I have been there but park illegally in front of the vet and once your animal is inside with them... go park your car. It's not the auto part store's responsibility to provide you a place to park that prohibits them from doing business. That review was not necessary. They recently put a hitch on my car for a bike rack. After 2-3 calls to the dealership, with no help, I called them on a recommendation from the bike store. They were so helpful and fast. They told me it would take about 2 hours, and they finished in under an hour. A bit expensive, but they said it was bc they had to take off the entire bumper. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. read more

I Stopped in today and was greeted by a very polite employee. He asked if he could help me find what I needed, which was a valve core tool and valve cores. He quickly took me to these parts and a new air pressure gauge. I will be returning whenever I need new auto parts. It was a great shopping experience! read more

After returning to this location and finding out Mike commits fraud, incites violence, disrespected my mentally disabled customer for questioning where are my parts after two weeks, Mike rushed over to her reciept and stamped NO REFUNDS NO RETURNS. Bought a headlight module for my E class from the. They stated it was tested and operational, which wasn't the case when the mechanic installed it. They refused to resolve the issue. Don't recommend buying from them! read more

This place is great! I went in needing a lug nut wrench. They showed me a few different types and recommended one that was half the price of some of the others and explained why. Then, just on a lark, I asked if they had replacement wiper blades for my 2007 Nissan. Unreal. They did. And then one of the guys went out and changed them for me (I would have been there all night). The total price was $40. Crazy cheap. This is the best auto supply store I've ever been to. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

When my wife went in to get a replacement battery, they looked it up on their computer and gave her the battery. It turned out to be the wrong part and upon speaking to the manager, they refused to accept the part. The manager was disrespectful and didn't let us explain our case that the employee gave us the wrong part! Not only did the experts give us the wrong battery, but they refused to give me a refund for the mistake. Instead, they gave me a store credit. If I wasn't now obligated to return to use the credit, I would never return here. read more

I got exactly what I needed. My Venza felt numb over 65, leaving me uneasy on my high speed drives from NY to N. Carolina. I wanted performance struts and springs but we found only OEM or a compact springs lowering kit, which my wife said "no" to. The guys spent extra time picking out what I needed and installed them when they arrived two days later. The Venza handles better now. The guys were friendly and easy to work with. These guys know their stuff! The battery light in my car came on so I went here to buy a new battery, I told the guy behind the counter what was going on and he said it was probably the alternator. He went and grabbed some kind of high tech electric meter and tested the car, then he had me start it and he tested it again. Turns out it was the alternator and I didn't have to buy a new battery after all. These guys saved me money and prevented me from being stuck on the side of the road. I recommend this place over any of the chain car part shops. read more

I was on a road trip from Atlanta to Boston when I noticed my headlamp was out and I was heading into darkness soon. I googled an Auto Zone store and asked them for a favor, I'll buy the headlamp and could someone help me install it (I'm a damsel in distress, I admit). The White Plain Auto Zone would not help me. Extremely rude so I left and down the road, I found DAS Auto & Truck parts store. So helpful, so pleasant and gladly installed my headlamp! If I were a local I would always shop here.. I am very pleased with the hitch and 4 bike Thule rack I bought at DAS Auto Parts - I had the hitch and rack installed there and the total cost was around $200 less than other places quoted me and was done very quickly. John and his team are very nice and helpful and they even took the time to show me how everything worked and showed me how to use the Thule bike lock etc. This is a great places for hitches and auto parts! read more

Thank you for your comment John. I've come to a realization that a bad employee is not a fair image of the company and I hope appropriate training will be done to prevent such situations from happening again. I have decided to upgrade my rating because I generally like Das Auto and I did have more positive experiences overall than negative ones so I'm not going to ruin my perception of this business because some employee had a bad day and took it out on me. I do appreciate the efforts from the Yonkers store sales rep in voiding my deposit after I hesitated about my purchase and the salesman's overall helpfulness. This is the reason I frequent that store quite often for misc parts. I wasn't keeping track of time and if I did spend 2 hours between the 2 locations than I am pretty disappointed in wasting so much of my time as well as the time of the salesmen because I honestly didn't learn much until I started looking online what people recommend to look for when buying rotors & pads. I hope you don't take this as a criticism but rather as an opportunity to educate your employees. Maybe introduce a flyer in your stores citing the key points to look for when buying expensive items you will have to live with for many years like brakes & rotors. I do think that the situation at the White Plains store could have been handled much better by describing features of rotors and pads: use of zinc, other features of rotors, why are some more expensive than others?, bite of pads, asking the customer to look at forums specific to the car they own for recommendations. All of those would have been helpful advice instead of the approach that was taken. read more

DAS Auto Parts is definitely my new "go to" place for routine auto supplies & parts. Last week my car battery was effectively snuffed by the Polar Vortex. I had put off the tedious task of going to an auto shop to get my battery and alternator checked out. Fortunately, a co-worker gave me a jump start and then drove me to DAS Auto Parts. I was super pleased with the service I received. They (the co-owner, Brendan) quickly performed a free battery check on my 2014 Buick Verano and then recommended two different batteries. It took about 15 minutes to swap out the dead battery and install the new one. I used to think it was always better to go to a big chain store, but after my experience tonight, I will most definitely think twice before going to an Auto Box store or shopping on Amazon, because nothing beats being able to question a friendly and honest local merchant who definitely values and depends on your business. read more

Quality customer service for guys like me that cannot change a light bulb, or a windshield wiper blade. I've been to multiple Auto stores around Westchester and none of them compare to DAS Truck and Auto Parts. Not only are their prices inexspensive but their customer service is incredible. Everytime I walk in the door I am greeted with a kind hello and a warm smile. The employees are always on top of the costumers needs and are ready to help make a purchase. Being a female it's not always the easiest to install a part or a liquid in my car, but when I come here I never have to worry about that. They are always willing to help!
