I wasn't too impressed with the Matcha drinks at Dasher & Crank. They advertise that they serve Yoko matcha on the building and have a list of Matcha beverages on their menu. I came in over the weekend and ordered a Matcha con Leche with almond milk and it was okay. I came in 3 years ago and had a Matcha with pistachio milk, so I was disappointed that wasn't an option. I also didn't specifically ask for an iced matcha (I assumed it would be hot), but the cashier brought it out for me cold. She was a sweet girl, so I didn't find it necessary to correct it. Maybe they don't serve hot drinks anymore, I'm not sure. I can't comment on the icecream, but the quality of Matcha teas has went down significantly so I can't recommend this shop. Interior is cute, blue painted steps and the mural are nice, but that's not enough to make me want to visit.
Dasher & Crank does indeed have some solid ice cream- not 100% sure if the price is justified but it's solid. I had the key lime pie ice cream & it was really refreshing. The inside of this ice cream shop is also very cute, a nice late night hangout spot in Brickell.
Honestly just a mediocre spot for dessert and drinks. I got the matcha drink at first and it was okay, nothing special but not terrible. They do have wifi and a nice seating area so I sat for a bit which was nice and then decided to get ice cream after. The one person working was a bit off-putting and not friendly which was not great, but she was fine with serving and cashier work. The consistency of the ice cream wasn't great - too icy, not creamy at all. Overall, drinks were okay. I would skip the ice cream though.
I ordered Rafaello ice cream in a small cup. The flavor was pretty good, but rather expensive for such a small serving. At around $8 I could get a much bigger portion at other stores. The lady that attended me was not nice at all. The seating area is kind of dirty looking and the walls are rather bright, which is not a great look in my opinion.
They have vegan ice cream options. I had the Ube vegan ice cream which was okay. The service is good the ambiance is nice. It's definitely a nice spot for a hot day.

Their ice cream is very creamy and comes in many unique flavors. I really enjoy the lavender flavor, which is both different and delicious. The shop has a creative vibe and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a treat by yourself. The quality of the ice cream and the service make Dasher Crank a top choice for a fun, tasty break in Wynwood. I highly recommend it. Definitely check it out today.
The heat in Miami feels so hot to me that we stopped by this store to get some ice cream. We noticed the unique flavors and decided hey why not check it out? The purple Ube flavor is really good. It was filled with flavor. The store has some chairs and tables to sit on and that is what we did. Just to get away from the sub a little. It's a small store but if you want to try out some different flavors this store could be the one for you.
Walking in the neighborhood and came across Dasher & Crank...on a hot day ice cream was perfect! My understanding is this is two restaurants in one...sweets and boba tea and ice cream shops. The customer service was great as she let us try as many sorbets and ice creams before buying. I went traditional with Oreo...one scoop in a cup and I LOVED it! While I was eating the first scoop I was contemplating purchasing another scoop! The decor is really cute with a couple of tables and chairs as well as a stadium seating-like stairs. This place is great!
This place is sooooo artsy and vibrant. I'm from LA so it gave me an Arts District LA vibe. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I'm so indecisive with ice cream flavors so I always ask what is the most popular/best seller. The ube Macapuno was the most popular. For it being vegan it was still pretty good. The Macapuno topped it off well I give it 8/10. If I'm ever back in Miami I'll definitely be back to try different flavors and their lattes
Fun ice cream shop in Miami if you're in the area. They have a 8-10 ice cream flavors daily to choose from. Their most popular flavor seems to be ube. As a fan of pistachio, I got a double scoop of ice cream with 1) pistachio and 2) ube. The cost of a double scoop was $10, which was definitely a bit on the pricey end. Both ice cream flavors are on the sweet end. The pistachio is probably the one I would get over ube. The pistachio ice cream was creamy and had bits of pistachio throughout each bite. The ube, however, was not as creamy and just too sweet. The texture was also different from the pistachio and the ube melted very quickly. If you love ube, this might be for you! In terms of parking, there's street parking, but the neighborhood is a bit rundown, so it gets a bit challenging.
Definitely a strong contender for best ice cream in Miami, but not the best ice cream I've ever had. The ube ice cream was excellent: highly recommend, can't beat it. The pistachio was lacking: the best ones are super rich and have more salt. I really wish I'd tried one of the chocolate flavors--they seemed to be quite popular and would have paired well with the ube. Overall, recommend, but it did not match the thrill and joy of my first ever bite of Salt & Straw in Portland, OR (and now just a few blocks away in Miami as well!) or the nut flavors at Morgenstern's in NYC.
There's no way you can go wrong with ice cream. This is a cute and colorful little ice cream shop! We ordered the mint chocolate chip with white chocolate on top and Nutella ice cream on a cone with white chocolate on top. Everything was tasty!! They also serve matcha and latte drinks.
Maybe my palate is not sophisticated enough for this place. Dasher & Crank serves a plethora of unique ice cream flavors including Ube Macapuno, Caramel Pear, Earl Grey Chocolate Chip, Matcha, Pretzels & Beer, Mango Chili Lime Sorbet, etc. They do also serve Basic Vanilla and Chocolate Crank, which is a mixture of three chocolates. The two gentleman at the counter very patiently provided us whatever sample we wanted. We tried lots of samples. These ice creams really do taste like their names. So if you like beer you will love Pretzels and Beer! When it came down to it, I just did not love any of the flavors I tried. Plus, flavors aside, I was not a fan of the consistency which I did not think was particularly rich and creamy. I ended up with the Carmel Pear. It was definitely a good choice if you want something more on the sweet side. I also got the Chocolate Crank. For an ice cream made with three types of chocolate, this ice cream hardly had any deep chocolate flavor. Dasher & Crank was not for me, but if you are interested in unique sweet and savory, ice cream flavors, give Dasher & Crank a shot. read more
We found out about this ice cream place while having lunch at Kush for my birthday. We asked what they had for dessert, and we immediately went for the Dasher and Crank vegan ice cream. They gave us a sample. The ice cream was creamy, purple in color and tasted like sweet potatoes. It was so delicious we asked who makes it. To our surprise, the ice cream shop who supplies Kush, The Spillover, and Vicky's House vegan ice cream was just a short distance away. So, Kush brought me to this delicious ice cream parlor. The decor and furnishings are glossy, powder blue, and a pretty in pink color. Random stairs/steps to sit on, or stand if the kids so desire. but never mind that. I'm here for ice cream to later indulge in the privacy of my own home. And that I did! Although they were pretty busy, I was greeted with smiles. They have an assortment of ice creams, 18 extraordinary rotating flavors to be precise, but only 3 are vegan. As I'm looking around waiting to be helped, there I saw a mini fridge with the words "TAKE A PINT HOME." So, I took 2 pints home: Ube Macapuno and Coco Mocha Chip. Regrettably, I did not take Salty Beach home with me. Each pint will set you back $10.00. The three vegan ice creams available when I went (4/16/19) were: 1. Ube Macapuno - made with Filipino purple yams and coconut. It is rich, creamy, and intense in yam flavor. 2. Salty Beach - made with coconut, sea salt, and graham cracker crumbs. I did not buy this one :( 3. Coco Mocha Chip - made with Per'la coffee, exquisito 73% dark chocolate, and coconut. This ice cream is a great choice for all coffee lovers. It is very creamy, bursting with coffee flavor, and filled with chocolate chunks that adds texture. Dude! Super convenient location and visibility. Open space with tables and theatre stage seating. Okay, now onto the good stuff. Probably the best ice cream place in Miami! I try something new every time I go. This past week it was the Vegan Chocolate Bomb over a warm matcha white chocolate cookie. I almost wanted to lick the plate lol. I couldn't believe it was vegan too! The chocolate Bomb has a generous portion of chocolate chips and the matcha cookie had just the right amount of white chocolate chips as well. This place was amazing!! The decor is so cute. And even though, due to COVID a lot of the seating area closed it was still nice to walk around and look at the art. NOW TO THE GOOD PART - ICE CREAM! Dasher & Crank is an artisanal ice cream shop in the heart of Wynwood. With flavors so creative you'd just have to try for yourself. Everything is made in small batches with local and premium ingredients. I opted for the boysenberry and ube flavors. If you're unfamiliar with ube, it is a purple yam and has a similar taste to taro. The elderflower was floral and had crunchy bits of candies hemp seeds within the scoop. I highly recommend getting the cone- it's light, crisp, and sweet, as a cone should be. read more

Dasher and Crank serves innovative flavors of small batch ice cream adjacent to Wynwood walls. The most popular flavor is ube (coconut ice cream with purple yam) and other funky flavors include yoko matcha and saffron rose. They say local ingredients are used to make their made from scratch ice creams. Our girls opted for a great yet simple tasting lavender and chocolate crank ice cream. The latter was the least impressive. We shared pist off! a creamy pistachio ice cream with caramel chips and hazelnut crunch that was a nutty good combination. A single scoop is $5 and double scoop is $7.50. It has a bright and airy ambiance with pink walls and sweet confectionery scents wafting through the air. There is plenty of seating available in addition to board games. Only street parking is available and can be difficult to find as it is located in high traffic area. read more

One of the funnest ice cream spots in Miami! Service is also great here. It's a fun vibe from the moment you walk in and I can appreciate the variety and, sometimes, weirdness of the flavors they have. My all time favorite flavor has to be their lavender ice cream but there were many other ones I tried which were fun to try as well. But nothing stood out to me as much as the lavender one. Dashed and Crank has some great ice cream !! If you are in the wynwood area, I do recommend coming and giving this place a try! They have many unique options to choose from but what really made this place stand from the rest was the enthusiastic ice cream maker that was helping us choose the options. Best local ice cream shop in Miami for a reason! The flavors, service, decor - everything about this place is so on point. With so many unique flavors, we wanted to try them all, and obviously we settled for the ice cream flight - that comes with 6 half scoops. The person at the counter was so courteous and she let us try as many flavors as we liked. Here are the flavors we got: * Boysenberry * Lemon speculoos * Ube macapuno (vegan flavor) * Lavender * Honey * Strawberry sorbet It was totally worth trying every single flavor, and the lemon speculoos was both mine and my husband's favorite. It had the right amount of lemon without being overpowering. The place also hosts Yoko Matcha on its premise but, we saved it for our next visit. There's ample paid street parking across the street from Dasher and Crank, however it may get tricky on weekends. read more

Awesome ice cream shop with a variety of flavors! I can really appreciate an ice cream joint that offers non-traditional flavors! Great location; currently in the Wynnwood Miami spot that offers hip artistry and places to eat! I personally enjoyed the Guava sorbet and the Ube macapuno flavors. Yeah, I can't help that I'm Filipino so yes, I'll try flavors that originate from my native country. As far as these flavors, spot on! You'll definitely appreciate the customer service, the cafe area, and the free Wi-Fi! Come on in and enjoy a dessert or 2. W O W. Honestly the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. I used to live in NYC and there was a plethora of many ice creams of all kinds and cultures. There was a couple handfuls I thought no other place would beat but Dasher and Crank has stolen my heart. I tried their charcoal mint, thyme, lemon cookie flavor, ube. All were phenomenal. The amazing thing was... I had so much ice cream and I didn't get sick of it at all! What makes this place unique is how they perfected each of their extremely unique flavors. Many ice cream spots have crazy flavors but they often taste weird. This spot, no. No matter what you get, it tastes amazing. Not too heavy, not too sweet. They were also VERY heavy on the hand as in.. they give you A LOT of ice cream! Although it appears quite pricey at first.... it's worth it once you see how much ice cream they give you and how delicious it tastes. Omg I absolutely love this place. So many fun flavors to choose from and my favorite matcha tea in all kinds of varieties. I've been back so many times now that they are a fully operational store and not just a pop up! Everything is still amazing here! The staff is awesome and patient with their samplings and friendly attitudes and there is a nice seating area. The highlight of course is still their ice cream! So many flavors (over a dozen) and they are unique, creative, and most important DELICIOUS! Just a great ice cream shop that fits in perfectly in the wynwood area and I love their creativity with the flavors and collaboration with local businesses like incorporating actual salty donut donut pieces in their ice cream. We stopped in here to grab a cup of ice cream to go. I opted for the beautiful purple ice cream - purple yam and coconut flavor as well as tres leches. I was bummed the scooping staff person out the beautiful purple on bottom as it's much more photographic than the tees leches (we literally had just talked about how it was pretty and I was taking a picture). Other than that the shop is clean and decorated nicely and the ice cream was unique. read more
Ok m, ok, the Ube Ice Cream DEFINITELY lives up to the hype! The cookie, not so much. Apparently the vegan cookies and pound cake are a different company though; as we checked out, it was a separate transaction. I came here with my husband while we were in Wynwood after visiting the selfie museum and taking all the photos so it was safe to stuff the bellies. We were both very disappointed by the cookie and I ended up telling the girl behind the counter that maybe it was just too hard from being warmed in the microwave. She said that likely wasn't the case because heating it up likely made it softer. Well, nope. Fortunately though, she was more than obliged to let us have one of the mini Matcha Pound Cakes instead. It wasn't really much better but it was softer and a little more edible. The flavor just wasn't there. Luckily though, that ice cream was so freaking good. There's only a handful of vegan flavors available but I'd be okay if that was the only one. My husband tried the coffee chocolate chip one, which was also really good. I can definitely say that I highly recommend coming in for some scoops, just don't bother with the other treats. I'm looking forward to our next visit to Wynwood so I can get some more! read more
