I found DJO through my wedding planner. Our first initial appointment was in person and as soon as I met with him I could tell he was a very professional person. He explained his services and we came up with a game plan for the wedding. The rest was easy; DJO has a website that you can use to select the music for your wedding and update it anytime you want. But a close second was how professional and responsive Omead was. Of all the vendors we dealt with he and one other were the easiest, most timely, and professional to work with. Omead patiently worked with us as we changed our wedding date and then changed our minds repeatedly over the details of what we did and didn't want for our lighting. This is the 5th time my family has used dashing events for my engagement party and we couldn't be happier. Although I am Persian, my husband is American and since we live here, our guests were 90% American. DJ O was able to mix it up between oldies, Persian, Arabic, Spanish, top 40s, hip hop and rock (all per our request) so that every one of our guests had danced their butts off. All night I had guests coming up to me saying, "where did you find this DJ, he's amazing!" Also, he was able to switch up the vibes on the spot instead of having a regimented routine. For example, if guests didn't seem lively to a song, he would quickly change it and prompt guests to come up front. Also, when I wasn't yet up for my father daughter dance and needed another 10 minutes, he was able to adjust his playlist right on the spot for me! This review is for lighting and photobooth. I booked Omead of Dashing Events through my vendor, Mountaingate Country Club. Since I wanted string lights inside the actual venue, this was an unusual request and the Country Club would only allow it through Dashing Events. Omead was so professional, prompt, and helpful. Though never done before, he was very open to the challenge and quoted me. As I was perusing his website, I found his business also offered photobooths and I asked if he might combine both services into a custom package for me. This was done, no problem. The communication and setup were excellent. The photobooth was a hit, though in some pictures the flash didn't quite work and came out darker than the others. This happened perhaps twice out the dozens taken. My guests were able to get prints on the spot and I received all the pictures on a disc promptly sent to my address after the wedding. That was really nice to come home to after the honeymoon. I would recommend this service and would refer Omead to anyone looking to add a bit of pizzazz or fun to their party! read more

We booked DJ Omead for our wedding at the Portofino in Redondo Beach 9/19. Omead and his crew (Photo booth, Percussionist) did an amazing job. The music was perfect. We had Iranian and American guests and the mix was just right. All guests were happy and the dance floor was packed all night. And by all night I mean all night. Omead is a very professional guy, from the moment we met him we knew he has everything under control. His proposal, his office, his presentation, the tools for us and guests to use. He always responds right away and goes above and beyond to make your event as successful as possible. We were glad to have picked the percussionist on top of the music, it really gave the night a different vibe. He was energetic, fun and kept the stage alive. Omead, from Dashing Events, helped us with virtually everything from the floor plan and room ambiance to helping us decide when to make the grand entrance and dinner time. I can't say enough about his musicians and music selection - there were so many people dancing that we ran out of room on the dance floor and people started dancing around their tables. I was in need of a female DJ for my sister's all ladies pre-wedding henna party that would be able to play both Arabic and English music and create a good balance between the two and I got exactly that and more at Dashing Events. They sent me DJ Lady E (Elaine) and she was amazing - in addition to being pleasant and professional, she really knew her music and had a good instinct for what to play and when to play it. She was very responsive to anything I asked of her. I was really, really impressed overall. She really created a festive, celebratory atmoshphere that got the guests going. Altough I only needed a DJ, Dashing Events offers so many other forms of entertainment and services so they really are a great resource for all your party entertainment needs. For a DJ, once you book your date, they give you a client login online and you can basically create your playlist and timeline for your party so it is all documented. Omead, the owner was very professional, attentive and easy to communicate with in planning the event. I don't think there are any DJ Services in Southern California for Middle Eastern / International party entertainment that are as professional and reliable. We had Dashing Events do the lighting and DJ for our outdoor wedding with over 200 guests - and they did an excellent job! Before the wedding, Omead was always easy to reach and talk to anytime we had a question. Dashing Events was definitely an easy vendor to work with. As for the lighting, we are so happy that we went for it. It really created a magical ambiance and was so beautiful. I remember the moment I walked out to the reception and saw our guests seating amongst beautiful twinkle lights and bistro lights. We also had purple up lighting on the dance floor that looked great. It was not an easy job as our venue was outdoors with limited electricity, but Dashing Events handled it well. As for the DJ'ing, it was so important to us to have a DJ that could get everybody dancing and DJ O was incredible! We had guests from toddlers to senior citizens, and everybody had some music they loved, and our dance floor was always busy. He also kept the event moving along by making all of the announcements, such as toasts, cake cutting, etc. He even explained to our guests how to do the Jewish chair dance - and it was a blast. My wedding was a mixture of age groups and cultural backgrounds which made it difficult to tailor our music to make everyone happy. What my husband and I never realized was it simply is not about the music selection alone which created an amazing night remembered by all. Omead was able to select top Arabic music (which my husband and I were not even familiar with) that we heard from his friends and family were the absolute best choices. My husband and I enjoy American music but we preferred clean versions of quite a variety of songs, and we chose a number of specific songs that Omead included in the mix. We also added in the photobooth last minute which was a great success. Not only were people having fun dressing up and taking a break from dancing-- they also could take home a picture for themselves and we were given a CD of all the photos not two weeks after the wedding. We can't stop laughing at some of the crazy pictures of our friends and family (excellent quality photos as well). The point is: we had no idea how to create a mood/ambiance/atmosphere comfortable for everyone at our wedding, but Omead's professionalism, experience, and obvious tailoring and customizing made for a wedding I consider flawless.
