I'm getting the runaround from this company following an incident that occurred on I-25N, about 12…read moremiles out of Fort Collins, on 8/19/20, while I was traveling cross-country. I was driving in the left lane, and a Long's Peak Landscape truck and trailer were in the right lane. In a bumpy construction zone, a rock flew from their vehicle and struck the hood and windshield of my car, causing damage to both. My daughter was in the passenger seat, and she was able to grab some photos quickly, before the truck exited the freeway. One photo clearly shows another loose rock on the trailer. Being in the left lane, I wasn't able to follow the truck off the freeway, but I called the company at my next rest stop. The very kind receptionist assured me they would take care of the damage, and she asked me to send photos and full information, which I did immediately. They asked me to get a repair estimate, which I provided to them after I arrived home in CA. After 2 weeks passed with no response, I reached out again and was told to file a claim with my insurance company, which would then work with their insurance company for a resolution. Three months have now passed. My insurance company has been reaching out repeatedly, and Long's Peak has refused to put them in touch with their insurance so we can resolve this. My insurance company says there's nothing else they can do if Long's Peak won't cooperate. Now I am faced with living with the damage to my 2 year old car OR paying the $1000 deductible to get the damage repaired myself. Long's Peak Landscape was irresponsible in operating a vehicle with loose rocks on it, on public roads. I'm contacting an attorney to see what it will take to get this settled.

WEEDS I wanted a sprinkler system assessment, he said ok and they would do that and turn on the system for season. I needed some other stuff done as well. I asked that they let me know when they were coming, nothing. They supposedly came and did stuff when I wasn't home. They started up my sprinkler system but I still have not gotten the assessment. I do not recommend this company at all. No follow through and I think they don't do half the stuff they charge for. NEVER AGAIN For some reason it says I"m in San Francisco but I'm not, I'm in Firestone.

But it's just word salad because no changes are being made except for sand being put over the mud hole. Sprinklers are still going off in the mornings making it difficult for dog walkers to walk their dogs. This company doesn't seem to care about customers only that they get paid. As I said the owners apology is nothing but word salad. He expects me to eat it and then still get wet while trying to walk my dog. He can keep his salad. What he really needs to do is start being professional and take these complaints seriously. I've already reported it to the BBB and they are investigating.

We all just moved in and several of the neighbors went with a guy they found on craigslist. We chose Ortega landscaping company that was referred by the builder. Not only did he complete the job on budget and within the allotted time but he came back and confirmed if we were happy or if there is any concerns that we had. He took care of us , he treated us like family. There were times that he was very booked landscaping and lawn care season. But he need time for us.My neighbors who chose the other guy to do their yards ended up not happy and the work needed to get redone and the guy wouldn't come back. The Ortega landscaping company guys are amazing. They installed our backyard fully from the ground up. They took time and care to come out and do follow up. There were times, where they were busy and may have over scheduled their day but they made it right we just has grace and Patients. I stayed them if there was a major concern, since I knew that they were busy (if it was important). It was May and it was their busy time. This last year they came out and did follow up sprinkler repair, some of it fell on us ....that just as a homeowner responsibility but he worked with us. But at one point they saved our grass. That was just installed, we had grass Mites (from the open field behind us) . Jose Junior said it was the cause of the mad, big, dead spots. He recommended to us, to call our pest service and have them treat the grass. Which is exactly what we did and it solved our problem. I can't tell you enough how amazing they are an honest they were with their quote. He helped us, keep budget in mind and plant choices that would last. His crew was respectful. They did a full install of plants, sod, and cement porch and side walk in a week and a half in our back yard. I recommend them to anyone who has a new build and needs a full install I recommend them for jobs just simple as a blow out of your sprinkler. I trust them, I believe in them. We have worked with them over the past year and I can't tell you how many people have different stories than us. Their contractor never came back, their contractor went over budget, their contractor ruined their yard or their home. That wasn't the case with us. The Ortega's were amazing from beginning to end and that's why we continue to choose them over anyone else. Don't be afraid to give them a call and get an estimate talk to them. I gave them five out of five stars. And you won't be disappointed if you choose them.
