I was referred to Dat by my agent, and though I liked him from the beginning, I am a paranoid human being therefore I vetted him up and down and still talked to other lenders at length after I already knew I was going to go with him. ‍ Dat gave me a great rate that could only be beat out by a big bank if I transferred a ton of funds. We were trying to get an offer accepted as first-time home buyers in May. A few hours before counter offers were due from the seller, we did not feel comfortable with the current lender we were working with at the time because of misleading information they provided. Our realtor referred us to Dat just to have a conversation and see if we wanted to switch lenders (nothing signed at the moment). Right off the bat, Dat was easy to talk to and get along with. He was very knowledgeable about the industry and made things very simple to understand, especially being first-time home buyers. We ultimately decided to work with Dat and sent our counter offer in, all within a couple hours. We were told by our realtor that Dat then connected with the selling agent and that ultimately led to us getting our offer accepted! First step done. Next step was escrow. We had a 15 day escrow.
