It has always been my family's go to places to eat or call when we suddenly find out that we don't have food at home. I've always enjoyed their chicken the most. It's very juicy and tasty by itself but when paired with their gravy, you just don't want to stop eating. One thing I really like to do is order a lot of extra gravy and pour it all over my rice. It just goes so well together - so in the end I just have this bowl of chicken-rice-gravy mush and it's the best. Aside from the chicken, my family also really likes their Pancit Bihon Guisado and the Savory Classic Lomi Soup. Let's not forget Shanghai Rolls. I'm sure everyone's tried Savory at some point. The location of the original branch is a bit hard to reach specially if you don't have your own car but I still recommend the said place. It's located in the old escolta which used to be the center of commerce in old Manila. This is the Ayala Center of BGC of Spanish times. The food itself will make the trip to Savory worth it but you might as well include a sidetrip and explore the grandeur of old Escolta. You can walk off the calories that you gained from the delicious dishes of Savory and have a trip to memory lane at the same time. Sounds like a pretty good bargain for me.

My brother suggested to get the rib part - it's slightly bony but tender. We bought it to go and enjoyed it for lunch. Each order came with the special lechon sauce. The meat was indeed very tender and the skin was extra crispy. Definitely to the delight of everyone, especially my Dad and me. The leftover from lunch was made into lechon paksiw which was just as delicious. My sister in law did a great job cooking it. Highly recommend and hopefully, I'll get to enjoy it again.
