Navigating a parent's estate is never easy or fun. When my dad (a professional artist) passed away…read moreand our attorney suggested an appraisal (of hundreds of pieces), we had a million questions. Brady was amazing and helped tremendously, even suggesting that perhaps we didn't actually need the appraisals. In the end, we didn't, but even so, he was more than willing to talk through it, take a look, share his expertise, and help me figure out the best approach. His willingness to help even though we ultimately didn't need his services showed he's not just in this to make money. He had our best interests in mind, and we're grateful. When we DO need anything like this in the future, we will be more than confident going to him for help.

We made a family decision to call some appraisers to provide clarity on the property. Mr. Dreasher was the only appraiser who answered the phone and was ready to talk about our situation. Upon arrival he greeted and introduced himself with business cards and addressed how we should go about making the process fast and efficient for everyone, knowing that we were still in grieving mode. He identified items we had questions about and then more noteworthy artworks and antiques for which he was able to provide restoration concerns and an estimates of value. In the end we only needed a few items formally appraised with a report, but having a knowledgeable person who gave us confidence in the appraisal process was just what our family needed at the time. Big Thanks!

This is the rudest and most condescending business in Lexington…read more I went to auction an estate piece from an extremely well renowned antique store in Lexington and was met with nothing but the unfriendliest associates. Like another review said, they do not answer emails unless you hound them (I had to send the same email twice over the course of a week and a half to even get an acknowledgment, let alone any useful information). I decided to pay them a visit in person to get more information on terms of sale and expedite the process instead of wasting several days waiting for another uninformative email. After being begrudgingly let in (Note: the business hours posted here are entirely innacurate) and dealing with a man who acted like I was there to rob them of their garage sale quality pieces, I was able to speak with Connie. We had been emailing back and forth yet she had no recollection of anything we had discussed. Her response was "I GET HUNDREDS OF EMAILS A DAY, NOT A WEEK, A DAY." That's great Connie, but that doesn't mean that because you're overworked you should take out your frustration on clients. As I continued to get more information, the entire exchange was so offputting and unprofessionally curt I could not wait to leave (and undoubtedly take my business with me). Shopping with high-end retailers all over the world, I have NEVER received such poor customer service and been treated as if giving them much needed business was such a burden on their part. If they are receiving hundreds of inquiries a day, I would recommend that they take all this revenue and hire someone with more tact and poise or at least attend a customer service seminar. If you are selling a piece in the Lexington area I would recommend Heritage Antiques on Broadway for a much more personable experience or sell directly in New York if you have a piece that commands attention. Both are much easier options and will treat you with far more respect than this company.
