Its first come, so pick your lane, grab a chair and hit some balls. They have drinks and food that you can order while you're playing, or you can opt for a table after you're done. I had my first lesson with Steve today. Such a nice guy! He watched my swing and quickly found some…read morebasic things that could help. He broke down the basics of the golf swing, with a lot of examples that I could easily understand. He showed me a video of my swing so I could see when my head was popping up a bit, etc... He also gave me drills to do at home that would help build muscle memory for the new things I had learned. It's definitely going to take some work, but the times I did put together the things he had me work on today, it felt so smooth, the contact was beautiful, and the ball went perfectly straight. I've been out in the backyard practicing the drills and can feel it getting easier already. I'm so happy I finally went and got a lesson. I'll be back to Steve Donnor Golf again soon for drivers and putting. For now though, I actually feel like I'm heading in the right direction for the first time in a while. The tee boxes were good and the fairways good too. The greens were fast and a good challenge overall. Definitely a casual course to play on. The rough was a bit tall and if you missed the fairway good luck finding your ball. No cart beverage service during our round was a bummer as we gor pretty hungry and needed to restock on beverages. Overall great course to check off my bucket list.

He's been playing the game for 40 + years and his passion comes out in every lesson. He's young at heart and very energetic. Ray's patient and understanding for all levels of Golfers yet stern and upfront when he knows you can do better (like any other True Coach would be). He not only includes an in-depth analysis of your swing (through video), but educates you on every aspect of the game: judging yardage distance, club selection, ball trajectory, axis spin, bowed wrist and the list goes on and on. I would highly recommend getting at least 2-3 lessons (maybe more) just so he can fully analyze your mechanics and come up with a more detailed and specific plan in order to maximize your overall game. He also has lots of props for students to practice, such as a piece of flat metal material for me to practice hitting the mark before I hit the ball. Overall, he is a professional golf coach and player and he is good at teaching golf.

Ian is the real deal - he fits his teaching perfectly between technical analysis and feel. He doesn't overwhelm with things like "oh your face is 2* open at impact" or "7500 rpms is too spinny for a 6 iron lets fix that" I would get from some other coach. I have went from shooting ~130 per round to getting my first handicap at 30.5 to getting my current handicap to 18.7 to signing up for my first tournament in 14 months. I have taken 9 lessons over these 13 months and he has built my swing from nothing to where it is today. I know that my velocity of improvement has everything to do with his teaching. Come in with an open mind and be ready to practice - you will improve with his teaching and analysis.

This golf course is amongst the top three public courses in the area. It boasts a challenging…read morelayout, but not too challenging for the average golfer. It's well kept and reasonably priced. Plus it's mostly flat and thus very walkable. And it's quite scenic, located in a natural setting with water foul, and so many mature plants and trees. None of the holes are next to public roadways. So it's mostly quiet and serene. And I say mostly, because there is an airport next to the course so that does create some loud, intermittent, overhead noise particularly on holes 5-10.
