David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen. I think part of the problem is that David is under-manned and a bit overwhelmed, but not responding to my messages is unprofessional.

These ranged from quick fixes like re-keying the front door lock, hanging a TV in the living room, fixing window latches, setting up & installing a motion sensor + video doorbell, setting up a irrigation system for patio plants, and installing baseboards on drywall, to more time-consuming projects like assembling new furniture and repairing leaky faucets. One particularly tricky issue was a double-hung window that was stuck and wouldn't move up or down easily--something even 2 professionals had advised me to replace entirely!! (Replacing a window would cost thousands of dollars + the rental of a boom lift and scaffolding) Thus replacing the window was beyond my budget. That's when I did some more research and reached out to Quickfix Gentleman and had Caleb take a look at my list, including the stubborn window. He came over, assessed everything, and said he'd do some research on the window issue. After four messages and a month of waiting I have not gotten one response back in regards to the work that needs to be complete. My floor chipped the night the installation was finished and the floor board was supposed to be replaced. The molding was not secured adequately so it is hanging off my wall. The door stop was never put back on resulting in a hole that keeps getting bigger, and since the drywall had to be patched in multiple places during the installation, my newly painted walls needed to be repainted. All of these were easy fixes, but I guess since we made the mistake of already paying them, it wasn't worth their time. I am extremely disappointed in a company I thought had integrity.

The GHI cabinets were certainly a struggle to install due to no fault of your company. With every remodel, there are always issues that come up that were not planned. After we finalized the last payment to finish the job, we contacted GHI Cabinets to obtain the hinges and found them very easy to work with. Your ingenuity solved the issue of the trim boards around a door and plane the trim boards to ensure the correct thickness worked great. It was dangerous work, but you did it safely, and it looks great. The original estimate to repair our garage, install two new windows and remove the old one, repair a gutter, remodel a kitchen all came in within budget. Allowing me to help, plaster, paint, and do 15% of the work also helped to stay on budget. I could have used your strength to help remove the Florescent Light though, that was much heavier than expected. It made me realize how hard it really is.
