I finally visited, bringing a long a few of my kitchen cutlery. When I retrieved them the next day, they were properly sharpened, with a keen edge on each. Sharpening is $3 or $4 for each knife (okay, I can't remember), and they safety sleeve each piece upon return. You will notice many, many new knives of all sorts for sale at the counter and directly behind, hanging on the wall. Reasonably priced, they surely have any knife you might need. A side line is their various cutting boards and cookware. As well, they have sausage-making equipment and the spices to support. On a related note, Ferrari also carries used kitchen cutlery that has been sharpened over time. They might be at the end of their usefulness for professional kitchens, but they still have a lot of life left for home use. I picked up several used knives to supplement my current stock. Bargain pricing for all used knives. I didn't realize that they also specialized in spice blends for all sorts of meat and vegetable preparations. Their selections are almost overwhelming, but again, you will most certainly find a suitable blend for all of your needs. For those of you that smoke meats, they carry a variety of clean hardwood sawdust and wood chips. Have any questions? I did, and the gentleman behind the counter was able to answer them and make suggestions to assist me. They don't have a big presence along Groesbeck Highway, but once inside, you will find their specialty store to be amazing. I recommend!
