I had to remind myself that I was in an accountants office because these guys were the ultimate chill guys. I felt as though I was talking to a freind over dinner; Chris genuinely cared about my situation and wanted give give me the best service possible. He also was interested in me as a person in general and not just another customer. I asked him a series of questions of different scenarios and he did not make me feel any less for asking. He patiently explained the process and did everything he could to make sure I would get the best possible outcome. Everything was taken care of on the spot. Really, do yourself a favor and go visit "the tax experts without the suits." They have the expertise and are looking out to give you the best possible resolution. Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.
