Wow, what absolute jerks. My dad brought his van in to fix the sliding door and when he returned to pick it up, the back window was broken. Ed refused to take responsibility and treated my dad very rudely. My dad had photo evidence that the window was still in tact when the tow truck dropped it of at the lot the day before. When he tried to show the photo, Ed threw the phone out of his hand and cussed my dad out. He had his mechanics corroborate his story, that the van was delivered with a broken window. Photo evidence attached - you can see that the window was not broken when the van was delivered to the lot. I have never heard of such rude or dishonest service. read more

Terrible experience. Brought my Honda Odyssey in to repair a broken sliding door. When I returned, the rear passenger window was broken. My dad took his car to have the door fixed. They broke a window in the process and wouldn't own up to it. When my dad showed them a picture of the car in their parking lot with all the windows in tact, they cussed him out and threw his phone across the room. Do not take your vehicle here unless you want it returned in worse shape than when you dropped it off and also to be cursed at in the process!! Customer service is not good here. Dave obviously does not care about customers and will openly tell you to go somewhere else. This place went from family friendly service to a screw you mentality. In my teens we started using Dave's..... it has really gone down the toilet over there. I have taken my truck there for a long time. This last experience was not so great. They missed a lot of stuff, and they had a long time to get it done. In addition, I think my truck was left outside unlocked, as there was change missing from my ashtray, my console stuff was all mixed around, my hood was unlatched, and later found a tube in my gas tank where my fuel was siphoned. What a waste of time and drive. I arrived at 2:45pm and the sign notated appraisals until 3:00pm. A man named Ed rudely advised me, the woman (secretary) would be gone and she didn't know it. Therefore, I didn't receive an appraisal or assistance. I was told come back tomorrow. That isn't how you do business. I was referred to your shop via a recommendation of someone in the industry. I didn't actually use this company for any repairs and I'm really glad I didn't. I had used their form on the website to send in some information to get a quote. I only have a small dent/scratch that needs repair. So, I sent in the information hoping to get a call back in a day. Two days later I called to follow up. Upon answering the phone, the person didn't say who they were (clue 1). And, I mentioned that sent in my information through their web form. He proceeded to tell me that he canceled the website 3 months ago so he didn't get the information (clue 2). I nicely let him know the website is still up and operational. Then...the line went silent. This guy actually hung up on me!! (clue 3). If a company can't even manage their web presence, then how can they possible manage the complex work of repairing vehicles. This has to be the worst so called business on the planet. I have never been treated so rudely or jerked around so badly in my entire life. I'm an easy going, patient person but after over a week of my car just sitting on their lot and never being looked at, I simply asked (nicely) why and when that might happen. I was told (by a nasty and rude 'face of the so -called company' to come get my car he refuses to work on it and hung up on me. I was a victim of a hit and run accident but that was a piece of cake compared to dealing with this place! If you're smart stay away! Not to mention, if you're a female, he'll treat you even worse. The girl there Sophie is a lier, she promised to our face certain things as addition to the job, and when the car was delivered, she denied and ignored us. and it was not done! I came here years ago to get a rear view mirror replaced and was very happy with the price and work. I have recommended numerous people here over years. That being said, I swung by last week to get an estimate done on just getting a 3-inch scratch on my back bumper buffed and painted, and he quoted me $480. I could buy a new bumper for that price! I got estimates done from 3 other places and they were all $150-200. Apparently this place has became a rip off. Won't recommend people to this location any longer. read more

My dad got in a minor car accident and went to Dave's Auto Body, his usual body shop, for an appraisal this week. My dad forgot his mask so when he got to the shop, he called and told them he forgot his mask, apologized, and asked if he could just stay in the car while the man did the appraisal. The man responded "I don't have a mask either" but came out to do it. After the man took a look at the car, my dad asked him through the window if he could back up a bit so my dad could get out of the car and they could speak at a social distance. The man got enraged, told my dad Covid-19 is a hoax (note: my father is an ER doctor who takes care of these patients), and told my dad to leave for requesting this simple safety measure! This man lost a longtime customer and $$ bc my dad wanted to ensure his own and that man's safety...I'm so disappointed. I felt others in the area should know what they are entering into if they seek services at this location. I hope the individuals who work here begin to comply with the law requiring mask wearing and social distancing in Palm Beach County, and treat clients with more respect. read more

BEWARE! Over priced and poor eyesight. I am not an auto body expert and do not have a trained eye. Therefore I rely on the expertise of professional to perform their job with integrity and excellence At Dave's Auto Body they have a different mission statement. They will only do the work that the owner tells them to do and will leave obvious damage unrepaired. They will not bring it to the owner's attention in order to return a car "good as new" When we challenged them as to why they would give back a car in less than perfect condition they reiterated that that is not their goal When we inquired as to how we could fix the remaining issues they kicked us out of their office and told us to never come back. I am a physician. If I addressed only the problems that my patient's reported, instead of those that i discovered independently, I would be violating my oath and jeopardizing my patient's health. This would works best when we are perform our jobs admirably and with expertise. We all rely on all of us being a piece of a puzzle that when put together creates a perfect harmony. I also had to come back today because I was losing air in one of my tires because of a nail (which had nothing to do with him or the shop) and he welcomed me in right after their lunch break and they patched it up for free!!! Originally I was told car would be done in a day. Then I was told it would be done by noon the next day only to find out it wasn't even started. I got in a pretty major fender bender in my 1986 Toyota RV a couple months ago... I did not know who I could turn to, almost every shop around Jupiter turned me down because I could not fit in the booth. But Dave's Auto Body took my RV and fixed it up beyond my expectations. DO NOT USE THEM They were great at first but now my truck has been there three weeks and they will not give it back. Their work is mediocre at best. The first time they said it was complete the truck bed was out of alignment, the headlight didn't work, the fog light didn't work, the paint job was blotchy, my centercap was missing, among other things. Maybe I am being too critical but I expected they could get my lights too work fairly quickly (within 3 weeks). I unfortunately brought it back giving them the benefit of the doubt and a week later, after they told be it was complete, they still did not fix anything but the hubcap. Now they still have the vehicle and will not give it back until THEY say it is complete. I no longer trust them to do the work correctly but they say that's too bad. With Hurricane Dorian bearing down on us I need the truck for the weekend and they will not give it back. Even after I offered to pay in full and always told them I was going to pay them in full from get go. Now I have to take it to civil court to get my truck back. If you decide to use them, I wish you luck as you will need it. read more

Horrific service or, more accurately, non-service. Booked an appointment TWO WEEKS in advance for some minor trim repair. When I arrived, on schedule, I waited 15 minutes before anyone greeted me. Was informed that shop was too busy to take my car and to come back the next day at 8:00 am. Returned the next day, ten minutes ahead of my scheduled appointment and was told that the shop was too busy and to come back the next week. I explained that I had an appointment the previous day and had been turned away. The owner told me "if you missed yesterday, you're out of luck; come back next week." I repeated the hat "I WAS HERE YESTERDAY AND WAS TOLD TO SHOW UP TODAY." He became very agitated, told me to get out of his office. When I insisted on being heard, and asked if I brought the car back the following week would I get the same run-around -- a fair question, IMO, given my experience with this joker -- he rose from his chair, brushed by me, into the garage, and slammed the door without another word. Very Disappointing experience. Dave's came highly recommended by a friend. We had two areas to be worked on. The front of the car needed to be done more than once as you could still see all the damage. They agreed that it was not done properly, apologized, and did it again. When we saw that the side of the car was not completed properly and asked that they repaint it they said "why would you want this door to look better than the rest of the car? It's good enough." They were not willing to finish the job and asked us to take our car and said "I don't care if we get paid, just take it". A worker there mentioned that is the response to customers when they are too picky. Wow! My friend is extremely embarrassed for recommending them.
