Let's just get this out - I love this Barber shop. When my then fiancee and I found this barber shop, we ended up deciding any time we are in Utah, that I'm going to be hitting Dave's. My favorite barber by far is Marshall. He is methodical and takes pride in his work and trade. When my wedding day came, I got an appointment with Marshall and he took good care of me. I have never looked snazzier. The entire shop is somewhere where you can talk with the barber, get an amazing cut, and talk with all the barbers. This place is conveniently (at least to me) located in the heart of Daybreak. I love the feel of this place. All of the barbers are dressed professionally and it has a warm feeling in the shop. I've had my hair done by two guys in there so far - some foreign dude and another local guy named Luke. Each did a terrific job. I'm going to keep going here for sure. No complaints about anything. This is a great barbershop. JB and Chase are great at cutting my marine corps high and tight. They make sure to get it skin on the sides just like I like it. I just moved to Utah a month ago and these guys are awesome. Everyone is really friendly inside the shop and they really show that they care about your happiness. I'm extremely picky about my cut and they never get bothered with me asking for a little more off. I followed my barber, Adrian, to this barber shop is it was my first time at Dave's barber shop. The shop is pretty small, and right in the heart of Daybreak. It is very clean, very professional, and one of the most family friendly shops that I've been to. All the guys are dressed in slacks, button up shirts, and vests. The music is suitable for all ages. All of the barbers were conversational with the customers making it a very friendly and laid back vibe. In my opinion, Adrian gives the best fade out of the group, but every guy is attentive to what the customer wants. The only thing I didn't like about this shop was that everything was by walk in only, no bookings or appointments. So if you want someone in particular to cut your hair, you'd have to wait till he is available. That could lead to a long wait if your guy has other customers ahead of you that are waiting for the same barber. To combat the long wait, Dave's Barbershop has another location only a couple minutes up the road the wait for any barber is long. read more

Don't get me wrong Dave does a great job, but he is really inconsistent. He's cut my hair 6 times now, and I've shown him the same picture 6 times as reference, but my haircut is completely different every time. If you're looking for a basic cut he does great, but if you want a nice trendy fade, don't count on it looking like you want. read more

Scheduled appointments are usually on time, occasionally running ~5 min behind. Avoid Monday's as they are walk-in only and it can get backed up several hours. Only worked with Marshall, but it's clear he knows his stuff and it passionate about barbering. Cuts have always been on point, and he takes feedback well. In addition, I asked for a straight razor on my neck and he insisted that a buzzer would get a closer shave, well he was wrong. Great shop, it's a bit more money but worth it IMO. I have only had my hair cut by Doug but it has been a great cut every time.

I have been here twice and will never go back and encourage others to stay away or find out who actually knows how to cut hair here the first time I went one of barbers was so rough I thought I just went through the ringer being pushed in an aggressive way or pushed with the clippers and I was in need of another hair cut today and my normal barber is booked weeks in advanced so I had to roll the dice hoping I'd get someone different and I got another barber and I asked for a fade with a number three and he for some reason did a zero which is way to tight for me but I thought Maybe he could salvage it and I asked for a messy spike look and instead of cutting my hair like normal he just decided to use three guard so now I just look like I'm in the military so much for having hair to style guess I'll wait a month till I can do something with it! read more

Great shop, great barbers who are passionate about their profession. Totally different experience than going to the chain shops. I think I've had just about everyone who's been there in the past couple of years, and have always been very happy with their work. They're friendly, they know what they're doing, they continue to attend training to improve their skills, and it's great to go to a real barber shop. I'm writing this review directly following my first visit. This was far and away the absolute best haircut experience I've ever had. You might take that with a grain of salt because I'm a frequent customer at Great Clips, but that was my past. Great Clips was fine, but after one visit to Dave's and specifically having Scott cut my hair, I'm converted. It was busy, but that didn't stop Scott from spending extra time and attention on my haircut. He was devoted to ensuring it was a good experience for me and I can't say how much I appreciate this experience. read more

This used to be a great place to get a haircut. I have been going for the past year. But the last few times the barbers I knew have left, Dave went to another location and the hours have been confusing. Today I went at 9:50 and it was closed. The website says 9-7 M-S. Dave is very friendly and the shop is a great place - the experience is good. However, I would agree with another reviewer about consistency. The first time I went in, i came out and received compliments on the style at every turn. I have been in 4 times since, and asked for the same cut. It has been different every time. My husband and son love this place. Their prices are a little higher than what we have paid in the past but the quality is worth the extra money. Terrible! I used to see Marshall but went yesterday to find him not there. Adrian did my hair and I wouldnt be surprised if he just got out of hair school. I understand everyone needs to start somewhere but it was horrible. First he cut my hair all different lengths and his response to that (mind you it took 35 min just for that) was "thats the way your hair grows" I ended up having him just shave it all off. And that still was a mess. He didnt line the edges up, left me with SO MUCH hair all over me and my clothes and had the nerve to still charge me $25. It was a horrible experience and my buzzed head still looks like crap. Do not see Adrian. read more
