I don't typically write reviews, however, Emery at Bootlegged Barber did such an amazing job I feel compelled to do so! I was a bit nervous as I had let my hair grow out for around 4-years and was worried I wouldn't be happy with the cut. However, Emery was highly recommended by both of my brothers, so I gave it it shot. I showed Emery a photo to use as a baseline for the cut, but also told him that I trusted him to do what is going to look best as he's the expert. SO glad I made the decision to come as Emery absolutely killed it! I left incredibly happy with my interaction with Emery, the environment of the shop, and most importantly the cut! I followed my stylist, Joseph, when he joined Bootlegged from another barber. Even though it was quite far from me, the trip was worth it. and I will be returning. The barber shop is very inviting, clean, and professional. Great design. Joseph is the absolute best! He listens to your ideas, gives you advice on what's possible, puts his techniques on it, and checks in all the way to make sure you like and know what is going on throughout. On top of his amazing skills, he is just the nicest and most easy man to talk to, who really listens, and I felt like he was genuinely interested and cared. My barber was Dane. I had scheduled an appointment online to get a standard cut and style. I had originally had permed hair and was quite scared that going to just any barber would not turn over a result I was looking for. Fortunately, Dane did an extraordinary job with my cut. Styled it perfectly and walked me through the product he had used to make it look much better. I went here expecting a good cut and beard trim. I was blown away by the attention to detail that Chris took with my hair and beard. He went back a couple times and made sure that it was perfect and that I liked how it was turning out along the way. After my cut, I walked in to the office and they literally made me walk around to show people my new haircut because it was such a drastic change and so well done. Emery has been cutting my hair for several months now and always does a fantastic job job. Emery is very personable and friendly and we talk the entire time. The base price is a little on the expensive end, but the price includes washing, styling, and straight razor shaving, which makes it worth it. The shop is always clean and chairs are always full. My first time I went here was awesome! Fun professional atmosphere! The 2nd time I went here after I got my cut I left and got in my car. Looking in the mirror I see that the barber missed a few things so I went back inside. I was greeted by Gil and explained what had happened. He immediatly had me in his chair fixing the mistakes. I have been coming to the Harriman location since they opened shop and I am so glad I walked in their doors. I have gotten my haircut by almost every barber there and each one felt like a 5 star treatment. I just got my hair cut by Chris and the man is an artist with amazing attention to detail. Took my 2 year old in for a cut. He had been to a few "kiddie" places before but this is the first at a barber and it was the best experience! Megan cut his hair and was so patient, and sweet with him. She did a fantastic job blending a once botched haircut. Chris gave me an excellent haircut and beard trim and went over everything multiple times to make sure he hadn't missed any stray hairs...which was very appreciated due to a couple of cowlicks that tend to cause problems for less experienced barbers. Oh barber (Kanion) was amazing. My 13 yr old kid hates getting his hair cut. Everytime we have brought him somewhere more chain like (sport clips/great clips) they don't really care to listen because he is a kid. It had been atleast 2 years since he let me take him somewhere.. Kanion did exactly what he asked and it looks great. If you have a very particular kid take them to this place. read more

Joe was absolutely amazing with my son's hair! I walked in last minute hoping I could have somebody cut his hair while I was getting my nails done next-door. my son said he had a great conversation with him and he absolutely loves the way he did his hair! I took my five year old here for a haircut because the kids haircut places are terrible. Excellent haircut with an amazing barber! He was great with my son and he gave him a super great haircut. Definitely more expensive for a kids cut but you get what you pay for and the haircut he got here was far superior to his other haircuts. Experienced barbers! read more

I've never felt the need to go to an actual barbershop. Well, now I don't think I can go anywhere else. The time spent to do the job right definitely shows!
