No worries ladies, they do womens hair and Taylor is amazing (more on that later). This is my first time here and my experience is great. They do online booking now and it does require a credit card on file to account for no shows. Its about $20 for haircuts (its not expensive for what you get, scouts honor). Taylor is only in on thursdays and fridays so make those appointments! They do have walk-ins but the wait gets long. Before she chopped away, Taylor asked what i wanted and talked through what we can do with my hair before cutting. While she cuts she gives you a play by play which is great for me since I can't see without my glasses or for those who are more nitpicky about their hair lengths or whatever. read more

Can't help but write a little note here for the readers who come across Lee's Barber Shop that haven't been there. Lee was my Grandpa. I am his oldest granddaughter and I live in Chicago. I've never had the pleasure of working alongside him like my mom, sister, aunt and cousins, but I was the first grandchild to sit in his chair. My Grandpa always said "I'm lucky, because I get to visit with my friends every day. I don't think that's work". He spent most of his life behind his barber chair and loved telling jokes and seeing people smile. He even kept his prices low when it didn't benefit him because he cared so much about his customers, or his friends as he called them. He passed away May 12, 2014 at home with my Grandma Mava by his side after a long battle with cancer. One of the last things he ever said to me is something I'll carry with me forever- "No matter how much love you give, you can never give it all away. So just keep giving it." While the sweet welcoming voice of my Grandpa Newel "Lee" Huntsman will no longer be there to smile and say "well hello!" as you walk through door, his spirit will never leave and is carried on through my mother (Brenda), my aunt (Lori), my baby sister (Taylor), and my two cousins (Daniel and Chandler). I've been a patron of Lee's Barber Shop for a good 12 years now. It epitomizes what a great, family run business should be, and even though I now live in Riverton such that it's more of a drive, I always go back to Lee's. All the staff are friendly, it's a comfortable environment to wait in, and they all genuinely care about their regular customers. They often love to chat about all their travels and vacations, something that I love also. This is how getting a haircut should be! Every haircut I have got there has been great - and for $10 it is an incredible value. I always give them $20, just to support such a wonderful, family owned business. My husband goes to Lee's and the guys are pretty good but the lady butchers my husband beard. There were gouges in the neck line and she cuts it way too short even though he said a great rim not a buzz cut. It takes two moNThs or more to get it to look better. Not cool.. read more

The staff here are awesome. They know what they're doing and are focused on pleasing the customer. I am always very wary when I go to a shop for a trim. Some people don't understand what a "trim" means. I always want to keep as much length as possible while getting rid of split ends and shaping up areas. I usually end up losing several inches. But not here!! Taylor is my favorite and always cuts it exactly how I ask. My only gripe is that they don't take appointments, it's walk-ins only, first come first serve, so you usually end up waiting 20-30 minutes, depending on how many got there before you. read more

I went in at 5:30 and was rudely refused service. This shop is supposed to close at 6. Two barbers were in the shop, one was cutting someone's hair, and the other had somewhere to go and insisted I needed an appointment even though their site says that they accept walk ins. Ok.... a 4 because of the wait, BUT I do because it is worth it. I make appointments when I can, however not always easy to fit my schedule since they book up a week in advance. Daniel is the best. He always listen to what I want each time since I always change it up. He doesn't hurry to get to the next customer and I appreciate that. I will be back again and again! Thanks for the good service. Do not go over there. 1.5 hour waited for hair cut and no one talked to me or at least be polite enough to say hi. 4 People walk-in after me and they got the preference, so I got up, walk out, and the guy try to make me stay. I have been getting my hair cut here for 20+ years, and have never had a bad cut. The business was started by Lee (hence the name), who has since passed on. He was always great for conversation...a real "old school" barber. His family has taken over the business and continued Lee's tradition of excellence. They have 4 chairs. Even if it's packed when I come in, I know not to worry because they always get to me in a chair in a reasonable amount of time. They are great with kids - I've been taking my 16 YO son here since he was small (and they always remember how he likes his hair cut!). Regular men's cuts are $12 (a steal), and they do accept credit cards. They do also cut women's hair, but I don't remember the pricing. If you're looking for a great barber for you and you family, this is the place! Much better than the big franchises! read more

This is a great barber shop. The girl that cut my hair (sorry, forgot your name!) was fun to talk with, and was happy to explain that although she is a girl, she was DEFINITELY not a hairstylist. I sat and waited just a few minutes on their comfy sofa watching TV before it was my turn. Lee asked if I just wanted a "haircut" and I replied that I did. Man it felt good not to have to tell him what size clipper guard to use or how many inches I wanted off my hair. I told him I wanted it long enough to just comb in the morning and he went to town. I was able to watch the TV from the comfy old school barber chair and when it was all over, all I owed him was $10 for one of the better "haircuts" I've ever received. If you want a Great Clips quality haircut, go here. Everytime I've went the barbers are nice, prices are great, but my hair cut has been poor every time. I am writing this review only because of how bad it was this time. Unfortunately, Lee cut my hair. He clearly did not listen what so ever to the way I asked for my hair to be cut. I get a very tradtional hair cut too. Long top with some pomade and a 0 on the sides. I have a part and get the sides faded. I simply asked to have a 0 on the sides, and to remove my part. Take it up as high as my part. I don't want it blended or faded. First of all, my sides aren't even remotely close in height on the sides. Then he started shaving the top of my head. I literally mean shaving. I couldn't say anything at that point.... way too late. Lee's daughter does a better hair cut, but I wouldn't say a barber shop quality hair cut. Lee and his daughter are the only ones there that have cut my hair. Overall, if you're a Great Clips kinda person.. go here. Perfect for you. You'll get the same quality hair cut at a cheaper price. If you have any specifics what so ever, or want a real barber shop hair cut, I'd suggest Ray's or Chai's. I don't go to them because of how far they are from me. After today... I'll definitely be spending the 20 somthing in gas for the the 20 dollar haircut. Worth every penny. read more
