An amazing young man called us right back and figured out our situation. He came as quickly as he could which was not easy as there are very few turn arounds on AA. With the help of the Road Ranger ( who was also incredibly helpful), he took the tire off, switched tires for us to safety drive to the tire shop where he finished the job. They were asked by police at the scene to tow to my house which was a 1/2 mile away. After my hospital stay, I found the vehicle not at my house. They had towed it some 15 miles away. When I asked why they did not do as requested, the answer was that there would have been no one home to pay them, when , in fact , my friend was there waiting. I had a very disappointing experience with the roadside assistance company partnered with Geico. I…read morecalled for help with a flat tire -- a service that's supposed to be covered and included in my policy. Instead of simply coming to help, they called me and told me to take out the jack, look at the manual, and get the spare tire ready so that when they arrived, all they had to do was install the new tire. Basically, they wanted me to do all the work myself. That's completely unacceptable, especially when this is a service I'm paying for through Geico. If I could do it on my own, I wouldn't have called for roadside assistance in the first place. This was unprofessional and felt like a total lack of responsibility. Geico really needs to review who they're partnering with, because this kind of service does not reflect the level of help I expect as a paying customer
