I love the two main guys that work here. They are so nice & respectful I don't feel safe in Muncie in many places. But here I do, I can relax and just look through film. It's always so chill. I don't like how they have had to shove everything together now. I know movies compared to games is not where they make their money. Now it takes a little longer cause I try to go twice a week. To check for anything new. So I could look fast & then head out if needed. But I get it it's not a big deal. Love this place and the employees! read more

Dave's Video Exchange was recommended to us by a family member. Some parts of the selection were deep, others a bit scattered. A solid store for your retro needs. Video selection looked expansive, though we weren't there for that. We will return when in the area. read more

I was buying a PS2 game and he opened the case to check, he said he wouldn't sell us the game in the condition it was in, since it was so scratched up! I love Dave's Video Exchange. Employees are knowledgeable and friendly, store is easy to access and shop. I always find bargains there on used DVD's that range in price from $1.99 to $9.99 depending on the demand of the DVD. They also have a GREAT selection of music CD's where you can come across some obscure and cool discs at very reasonable prices. I purchase used DVD's there all the time. I've never had a problem with any of the discs I've purchased, and yes, I'm afraid to actually count how many I own! I dig Dave's. The store is what it is, a provider of used gaming, DVD's, CD's as well as a VERY inexpensive DVD rental store. If they don't have something you're looking for, you can pre-pay and they'll get it for you. They openly tell you they order their 'out-of-stock' items from Amazon.com and advise that you may wish to order it yourself to save the mark-up if they were to order it for you. :) I think expecting this establishment to be anything other than what it is, is harsh as they are simply a great place to find used discs that are in GREAT condition at very inexpensive prices. $20 for a new disc at Target or $6.99-$8.99 for the same DVD when it shows up at Dave's. 3oh3! taught me to never trust a hoe and the same goes for the people at Dave's Video. Yeah, the selection is okay and the prices don't suck. Sure there are a shit ton of Funko Pops... but they are all lying skanks when it comes to asking if they have a DVD in store over the phone. It'd be nice to save the gas and the trip right? I would bet my next paycheck that Dave's Video will go out of business sometime in the next 12 months. The only thing appealing about the store is that they buy and sell outdated hardware and software. I found some old Xbox games in the back of my closet and Dave's gave me credit for them. The downside to that equation is that they would have a hard time giving away about half of the inventory in the store. Twenty year old CDs and ten year old video games. read more

This is great store to go to if you are looking for a particular movie, cd, or video game, especially if it has some age on it! They also sell gaming systems and controllers along with other electronics. I enjoy getting TV on DVD at Dave's! One of my favorite things about this store is that if you buy three DVDs, you get one free! read more

I went to Dave's Video Exchange and bought a used copy of Left 4 Dead for the Xbox 360 video game console. When I got home, I discovered that it did not work at all past the loading screen. I called them and reported the problem, and was told to just come in and exchange it for another copy, and that another copy was in stock. I drove all the way back across town to exchange it, and when I got to the store, they said that they didn't have a copy for me to trade for. I called GameStop and asked if they had a copy of Left 4 Dead, and they said that they did for 20.00. I asked for my money back, and I was told that they could only offer me store credit, and that I'd have to talk to a manager about money. I called the next day to ask if the manager was in, and they said he would be there for another two hours. I arrived one hour later to find that the manager had just left. I called the NEXT day to talk to the manager over the phone, stating that I wanted my money back. He said I could only get in store credit. I explain that I had so far had to make 3 separate trips to the store and that if he wanted my business he'd need to credit me more than I paid because I'd spent 20.00 in gas driving back and forth because of the store's incompetence. He said he'd handle it and to come in to pick up my card. I went in today to pick up my card, and he hadn't given me the extra credit for what is now FOUR trips to the store. When I told him he needed to handle this, he laughed in my face and said it wasn't his problem. I told him I would report him to the BBB and he said quote 'They won't do anything. Have fun with that." Rude customer service, broken exchange procedures, highway robbery and incompetent employees have made this a very bad experience for me. In addition to this, I bought a used copy of Milo and Otis on DVD for $7.99, and found a brand new copy at Wal-Mart for $5.00. The prices are too high. read more

The prices have gone up to ridiculous amounts. An employee was extremely rude when I went in there tonight. They had cords that looked like they were chewed up by mice and wanted 5 dollars and the employee made sure to let me know if "I didn't want it. Don't buy it." If you want to be treated like crap this is the perfect place to go. read more
