We enjoyed an amazing late lunch at the Black Dog Arts Cafe in Snoqualmie, WA…read more They're pretty well known for their amazing food (completely vegetarian, mostly vegan options) and cozy, artsy retro type atmosphere. We haven't had the occasion to visit in maybe a year or two so .. we were definitely overdue! We appreciated the friendly, charming nature of our server and the wide assortment of options to choose from! I'm going to start with the cookies because ...O...M...Goodness, we bought one Ube cookie and one Cardamom. We haven't tasted the Ube yet (we're pacing ourselves lol) but the Cardamom was delicious and soooo soft, even though we didn't try it until a couple of hours later! My wife ordered the Deli Wrap, house deli slices, vegan cheeze, and beautiful micro greens while I ordered two items, a Mock Tuna sandwich made of chickpea salad and vegan mayo as well as their Mushroom Oat Groat soup. I only had a bite of Sandi's wrap but it was delicious and she seemed to love it. The soup I ordered had a really rich delicious mushroom depth about it, very tasty with lots of good veggie bits in there. The Mock Tuna was hearty, filling, very tasty .. and I appreciated that it came with chips and a piece of pineapple and apple. We had visited Mexico a couple of years ago. The vegan options we had while there, they were WAY more fresh and vibrant than what you typically regularly find here in the U.S.. Instead of using stock items like Impossible or Beyond (which I have nothing against, I love both products), the burgers are usually made from scratch using, beans, beets, whatever fresh ingredients you can imagine! The freshness of the ingredients really hits the palette in a big way! So, that was totally my experience at Black Dog today. Our lunch was fresh and vibrant and I left feeling full but not bloated or overwhelmed. On an aside, I appreciate the option to order half a sandwich, that's very helpful to keep gluttony at bay They regularly have all kinds of events there so I recommend checking out their page and plan visit for a fun event, amazing food, and delightful service.

All the desserts and baked goods are vegan and many are also gluten free. Tofu rueben was messy and delicious with a thick slab of seasoned tofu slathered with sauerkraut, sauce, and melty coconut-based cheese. Soup of the day was a beetroot with cashew cream and dill, savory and so delicious that my partner who hates beets loved it. We also tried the special (anticuochoa bowl) which is absolutely worth trying. A bed of quinoa and kale topped with faux chick'n, lime agave cabbage slaw, pepitas and a ton of additional tasty sauces and toppings that made the whole thing amazingly tasty on top of nutritious.

You can…read morereach the museum by train, on the 5-mile train ride that goes back and forth between North Bend and the Falls, or you can reach it by car - there is a parking lot and road access. It's a large facility with multiple train engines and cabooses and the like inside, from different time frames, and with explanation. There is also a gift shop and restrooms. The staff, a lot of which are volunteers, are all friendly and knowledgeable - and very passionate about trains. One of the big focuses of the museum is to show how trains changed the way we do things - not just how we travel but how we eat, everything. This was very interesting and eye-opening. They are currently working on a new exhibit of a miniature train traversing areas of the state, such as the Gorge. It's looking great! Big P.S. Part of what they do is the train ride, I believe. They run most of the year. It's great fun. We did the Twin Peaks fundraiser ride. Staff was great - many clothed in traditional uniforms - and everyone went out of their way to make the experience fun and fulfilling.

Casino was nice, clean, and most everything seemed new. Played at some of the table games and the crap dealers and pit boss were attentive and friendly. Even managed to make a small withdrawal during my short time there. Wished I could have stayed overnight on the property, but all rooms were full due an ongoing event. So all in all, a nice experience and would visit again if I'm in the area.

But I…read morehave gone enough just min betting to figure it all out and I can tell you without a doubt they do not have good bonuses. Reading all the reviews has been enlightening, bad bonuses confirmed. I have been going weekly for three years, and in that time won exactly one big jackpot. Thousands and thousands, hours and hours, for a net negative. One jackpot that was less than a handpay. In fact it's been a while since I've seen ANYONE get a hand pay... But the main reason for this review is that none of it compares to how rigged the craps machine is. If you want to know what it's like to be mugged in a dark alley- play the craps machine. It's the opposite of an atm. It systematically took back every dime I won playing other games like a surgeon. You sense something is wrong, but you want to believe it's not robbing people so you try again. 8 people at once all scooped. We all look at eachother and say "no way" because we all saw the same manipulated dice. They will let you win a couple to hook you into betting. 99% of working come out rolls were 7. Even with just one dollar one it. Imagine if it were 100's... it's a fools game. I've talked to other gamblers that have lost 10's of thousands at Sno. I'm afraid to say hi to them because I know how much they lose. My goal is to just win my freeplay amount to pay for the gas, but end up losing a couple hundred every dang time. We are talking maybe 800 days since 2023 gambling there, only one big jackpot. I watch Vegas Matt and Bluff daily, I know people lose a lot, but nothing like how bad it is over here. They'd be down millions if their casino was Snoqualmie. BEWARE. LEARN A BETTER SKILL WITH YOUR TIME

We started at Snoqualmie Falls, had brunch at Salish and then headed over at 10am to Snofalls Lavender to do U-pick lavender. The field is small but really pretty. They had 3 types of lavender. The kind for arrangements, English lavender for cooking and white lavender for tea. Price was $5 per person which get you 50 stalks per person. So for my husband and I, she told us we could pick 100 stems. She also provided us with a basket and scissors. Highly recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, water, and camera ( for photos!) We went around 10am and it got pretty sunny and warm in the field. Also, I didn't realize how many bees there would be out there, if you don't bother them, they won't bother you :) Overall, it was a really cute little spot. I wish they had some of their products out for sale but otherwise, my husband and I had a great time.

We stayed on the spa floor and having an in-room fireplace made for such a cozy addition to an already great stay. Spa treatments and dinner, while a bit pricey, were well worth the cost in our opinion. Even the waiting/relaxation area for the spa felt luxurious with a lit fire, snacks, and a tea station at the ready! And for the Twin Peaks fans there are a variety of great nods to the show without feeling like you've stepped into a tourist trap. Themed cocktails and a handful of shop items were tasteful and unique! Overall, Salish has landed on our "to revisit" list as a fast favorite!

It is showing its age and could use some TLC on the seats but they do provide you with cushions. Also they have bug spray you can spray on for free. One thing for older people is there is a steep winding hill you need to go down to get to the theater (not that long but still difficult for older folks - and you have to go back up at the end.) BUT they do provide a Courteous van that will take you down. They are next to impossible to get in contact with. Their phone is disconnected and they apparently can not access their Facebook page to respond to inquires. Found that very concerning since sort of looks like they are out of business. The scenery and customs for the play are simple but fun and the actors put their hearts in to it.
